¹It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

¹[] Γενικως ακουεται οτι ειναι μεταξυ σας πορνεια, και τοιαυτη πορνεια, ητις ουδε μεταξυ των εθνων ονομαζεται, ωστε να εχη τις την γυναικα του πατρος αυτου.

²And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

²Και σεις εισθε πεφυσιωμενοι, και δεν επενθησατε μαλλον, δια να εκβληθη εκ μεσου υμων ο πραξας το εργον τουτο.

³For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

³Διοτι εγω ως απων κατα το σωμα, παρων ομως κατα το πνευμα, εκρινα ηδη ως παρων τον ουτω πραξαντα τουτο,

⁴In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁴εν τω ονοματι του Κυριου ημων Ιησου Χριστου αφου συναχθητε σεις και το εμον πνευμα με την δυναμιν του Κυριου ημων Ιησου Χριστου

⁵To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

⁵να παραδωσητε τον τοιουτον εις τον Σαταναν προς ολεθρον της σαρκος, δια να σωθη το πνευμα αυτου εν τη ημερα του Κυριου Ιησου.

⁶Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

⁶Δεν ειναι καλον το καυχημα σας. Δεν εξευρετε οτι ολιγη ζυμη καμνει ολον το φυραμα ενζυμον;

⁷Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

⁷[] Καθαρισθητε λοιπον απο της παλαιας ζυμης, δια να ησθε νεον φυραμα, καθως εισθε αζυμοι. Διοτι το πασχα ημων εθυσιασθη υπερ ημων, ο Χριστος·

⁸Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

⁸ωστε ας εορταζωμεν ουχι με ζυμην παλαιαν, ουδε με ζυμην κακιας και πονηριας, αλλα με ενζυμα ειλικρινειας και αληθειας.

⁹I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

⁹[] Σας εγραψα εν τη επιστολη να μη συναναστρεφησθε με πορνους,

¹⁰Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

¹⁰και ουχι διολου με τους πορνους του κοσμου τουτου η με τους πλεονεκτας η αρπαγας η ειδωλολατρας· επειδη τοτε πρεπει να εξελθητε απο του κοσμου.

¹¹But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

¹¹Αλλα τωρα σας εγραψα να μη συναναστρεφησθε, εαν τις αδελφος ονομαζομενος ηναι πορνος η πλεονεκτης η ειδωλολατρης η λοιδορος η μεθυσος η αρπαξ· με τον τοιουτον μηδε να συντρωγητε.

¹²For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

¹²Διοτι τι με μελει να κρινω και τους εξω; δεν κρινετε σεις τους εσω;

¹³But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

¹³Τους δε εξω ο Θεος θελει κρινει. Οθεν εκβαλετε τον κακον εκ μεσου υμων.
