¹In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

¹[] Εν τω εικοστω εβδομω ετει του Ιεροβοαμ βασιλεως του Ισραηλ εβασιλευσεν ο Αζαριας, υιος του Αμασιου, βασιλεως του Ιουδα.

²Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

²Δεκαεξ ετων ηλικιας ητο οτε εβασιλευσε, και εβασιλευσε πεντηκοντα δυο ετη εν Ιερουσαλημ· το δε ονομα της μητρος αυτου ητο Ιεχολια, εξ Ιερουσαλημ.

³And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;

³Και επραξε το ευθες ενωπιον του Κυριου, κατα παντα οσα ειχε πραξει Αμασιας ο πατηρ αυτου.

⁴Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.

⁴Πλην οι υψηλοι τοποι δεν αφηρεθησαν· ο λαος ετι εθυσιαζε και εθυμιαζεν επι τους υψηλους τοπους.

⁵And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land.

⁵Και επαταξεν ο Κυριος τον βασιλεα, και ητο λεπρος εως της ημερας του θανατου αυτου και κατωκει εν οικια αποκεχωρισμενη. Ητο δε επι του οικου Ιωθαμ ο υιος του βασιλεως, κρινων τον λαον της γης.

⁶And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

⁶Αι δε λοιπαι πραξεις του Αζαριου και παντα οσα επραξε δεν ειναι γεγραμμενα εν τω βιβλιω των χρονικων των βασιλεων του Ιουδα;

⁷So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

⁷Και εκοιμηθη ο Αζαριας μετα των πατερων αυτου· και εθαψαν αυτον μετα των πατερων αυτου εν πολει Δαβιδ· εβασιλευσε δε αντ' αυτου Ιωθαμ ο υιος αυτου.

⁸In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.

⁸[] Εν τω τριακοστω ογδοω ετει του Αζαριου βασιλεως του Ιουδα, Ζαχαριας ο υιος του Ιεροβοαμ εβασιλευσεν επι τον Ισραηλ εν Σαμαρεια, εξ μηνας.

⁹And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

⁹Και επραξε πονηρα ενωπιον του Κυριου, ως ειχον πραξει οι πατερες αυτου· δεν απεμακρυνθη απο των αμαρτιων του Ιεροβοαμ υιου του Ναβατ, οστις εκαμε τον Ισραηλ να αμαρτηση.

¹⁰And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

¹⁰Και συνωμοσε κατ' αυτου Σαλλουμ ο υιος του Ιαβεις, και επαταξεν αυτον κατεμπροσθεν του λαου και εθανατωσεν αυτον και εβασιλευσεν αντ' αυτου.

¹¹And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

¹¹Αι δε λοιπαι πραξεις του Ζαχαριου, ιδου, ειναι γεγραμμεναι εν τω βιβλιω των χρονικων των βασιλεων του Ισραηλ.

¹²This was the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.

¹²Ουτος ητο ο λογος του Κυριου, τον οποιον ελαλησε προς τον Ιηου, λεγων, Οι υιοι σου θελουσι καθισει επι του θρονου του Ισραηλ εως τεταρτης γενεας. Και εγεινεν ουτως.

¹³Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.

¹³Εβασιλευσε δε Σαλλουμ ο υιος του Ιαβεις εν τω τριακοστω εννατω ετει του Οζιου βασιλεως του Ιουδα, και εβασιλευσεν ενα μηνα εν Σαμαρεια.

¹⁴For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

¹⁴Και ανεβη Μεναημ ο υιος του Γαδει απο Θερσα, και ηλθεν εις Σαμαρειαν και εκτυπησε τον Σαλλουμ τον υιον του Ιαβεις εν Σαμαρεια, και εθανατωσεν αυτον και εβασιλευσεν αντ' αυτου.

¹⁵And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

¹⁵Αι δε λοιπαι πραξεις του Σαλλουμ, και η συνωμοσια αυτου την οποιαν εκαμεν, ιδου, ειναι γεγραμμεναι εν τω βιβλιω των χρονικων των βασιλεων του Ισραηλ.

¹⁶Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

¹⁶Τοτε επαταξεν ο Μεναημ την Θαψα και παντας τους εν αυτη και τα ορια αυτης απο Θερσα· επειδη δεν ηνοιξαν εις αυτον, δια τουτο επαταξεν αυτην· και πασας τας εν αυτη εγκυμονουσας διεσχισεν.

¹⁷In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.

¹⁷Εν τω τριακοστω εννατω ετει του Αζαριου βασιλεως του Ιουδα, Μεναημ ο υιος του Γαδει εβασιλευσεν επι τον Ισραηλ, δεκα ετη εν Σαμαρεια.

¹⁸And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

¹⁸Και επραξε πονηρα ενωπιον του Κυριου· δεν απεμακρυνθη κατα πασας τας ημερας αυτου απο των αμαρτιων του Ιεροβοαμ υιου του Ναβατ, οστις εκαμε τον Ισραηλ να αμαρτηση.

¹⁹And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

¹⁹Τοτε ηλθεν ο Φουλ βασιλευς της Ασσυριας εναντιον της γης. και εδωκεν ο Μεναημ εις τον Φουλ χιλια ταλαντα αργυριου, δια να ηναι μετ' αυτου η χειρ αυτου εις το να ενισχυση την βασιλειαν εν τη χειρι αυτου.

²⁰And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

²⁰Και απεσπασεν ο Μεναημ το αργυριον απο του Ισραηλ, απο παντων των δυνατων εις πλουτη, πεντηκοντα σικλους αργυριου αφ' εκαστου, δια να δωση εις τον βασιλεα της Ασσυριας. Και επεστρεψεν ο βασιλευς της Ασσυριας και δεν εσταθη εκει εν τη γη.

²¹Αι δε λοιπαι πραξεις του Μεναημ και παντα οσα επραξε, δεν ειναι γεγραμμενα εν τω βιβλιω των χρονικων των βασιλεων του Ισραηλ;

²²And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

²²Και εκοιμηθη ο Μεναημ μετα των πατερων αυτου· εβασιλευσε δε αντ' αυτου Φακειας ο υιος αυτου.

²³In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.

²³Εν τω πεντηκοστω ετει του Αζαριου βασιλεως του Ιουδα, Φακειας ο υιος του Μεναημ εβασιλευσεν επι τον Ισραηλ εν Σαμαρεια, δυο ετη.

²⁴And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

²⁴Και επραξε πονηρα ενωπιον του Κυριου· δεν απεμακρυνθη απο των αμαρτιων του Ιεροβοαμ υιου του Ναβατ, οστις εκαμε τον Ισραηλ να αμαρτηση.

²⁵But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.

²⁵Και συνωμοσε κατ' αυτου ο Φεκα υιος του Ρεμαλια, ο στρατηγος αυτου, και επαταξεν αυτον εν Σαμαρεια, εν τω παλατιω του οικου του βασιλεως, μετα του Αργοβ και Αριε, εχων μεθ' εαυτου και πεντηκοντα ανδρας εκ των Γαλααδιτων· και εθανατωσεν αυτον και εβασιλευσεν αντ' αυτου.

²⁶And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

²⁶Αι δε λοιπαι πραξεις του Φακειου και παντα οσα επραξεν, ιδου, ειναι γεγραμμενα εν τω βιβλιω των χρονικων των βασιλεων του Ισραηλ.

²⁷In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.

²⁷Εν τω πεντηκοστω δευτερω ετει του Αζαριου βασιλεως του Ιουδα, Φεκα ο υιος του Ρεμαλια εβασιλευσεν επι τον Ισραηλ εν Σαμαρεια, εικοσι ετη.

²⁸And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

²⁸Και επραξε πονηρα ενωπιον του Κυριου· δεν απεμακρυνθη απο των αμαρτιων του Ιεροβοαμ υιου του Ναβατ, οστις εκαμε τον Ισραηλ να αμαρτηση.

²⁹In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.

²⁹Εν ταις ημεραις του Φεκα βασιλεως του Ισραηλ, ηλθεν ο Θεγλαθ-φελασαρ βασιλευς της Ασσυριας, και εκυριευσε την Ιιων και την Αβελ-βαιθ-μααχα και την Ιανωχ, και την Κεδες και την Ασωρ και την Γαλααδ και την Γαλιλαιαν, πασαν την γην Νεφθαλι, και μετωκισεν αυτους εις Ασσυριαν.

³⁰And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

³⁰Και εκαμεν Ωσηε ο υιος του Ηλα συνωμοσιαν κατα του Φεκα υιου του Ρεμαλια, και επαταξεν αυτον και εθανατωσεν αυτον και εβασιλευσεν αντ' αυτου, εν τω εικοστω ετει του Ιωθαμ υιου του Οζιου.

³¹Αι δε λοιπαι πραξεις του Φεκα, και παντα οσα επραξεν, ιδου, ειναι γεγραμμενα εν τω βιβλιω των χρονικων των βασιλεων του Ισραηλ.

³²In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.

³²[] Εν τω δευτερω ετει του Φεκα υιου του Ρεμαλια βασιλεως του Ισραηλ, εβασιλευσεν ο Ιωθαμ υιος του Οζιου βασιλεως του Ιουδα.

³³Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

³³Εικοσιπεντε ετων ηλικιας ητο οτε εβασιλευσε, και εβασιλευσε δεκαεξ ετη εν Ιερουσαλημ· το δε ονομα της μητρος αυτου ητο Ιερουσα θυγατηρ του Σαδωκ.

³⁴And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

³⁴Και επραξε το ευθες ενωπιον Κυριου· επραξε κατα παντα οσα επραξεν Οζιας ο πατηρ αυτου.

³⁵Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the LORD.

³⁵Πλην οι υψηλοι τοποι δεν αφηρεθησαν· ο λαος ετι εθυσιαζε και εθυμιαζεν επι τους υψηλους τοπους. Ουτος ωκοδομησε την υψηλην πυλην του οικου του Κυριου.

³⁶Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

³⁶Αι δε λοιπαι πραξεις του Ιωθαμ και παντα οσα επραξε, δεν ειναι γεγραμμενα εν τω βιβλιω των χρονικων των βασιλεων του Ιουδα;

³⁷In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

³⁷Εν ταις ημεραις εκειναις ηρχισεν ο Κυριος να εξαποστελλη κατα του Ιουδα τον Ρεσιν βασιλεα της Συριας και τον Φεκα υιον του Ρεμαλια.

³⁸And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

³⁸Ο δε Ιωθαμ εκοιμηθη μετα των πατερων αυτου, και εταφη μετα των πατερων αυτου εν πολει Δαβιδ του πατρος αυτου· εβασιλευσε δε αντ' αυτου Αχαζ ο υιος αυτου.
