¹And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

¹[] Και οτε ηλθεν η ημερα της Πεντηκοστης, ησαν απαντες ομοθυμαδον εν τω αυτω τοπω.

²And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

²Και εξαιφνης εγεινεν ηχος εκ του ουρανου ως ανεμου βιαιως φερομενου, και εγεμισεν ολον τον οικον οπου ησαν καθημενοι·

³And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

³και εφανησαν εις αυτους διαμεριζομεναι γλωσσαι ως πυρος, και εκαθησεν επι ενα εκαστον αυτων,

⁴And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

⁴και επλησθησαν απαντες Πνευματος Αγιου, και ηρχισαν να λαλωσι ξενας γλωσσας, καθως το Πνευμα εδιδεν εις αυτους να λαλωσιν.

⁵And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

⁵[] Ησαν δε κατοικουντες εν Ιερουσαλημ Ιουδαιοι, ανδρες ευλαβεις απο παντος εθνους των υπο τον ουρανον·

⁶Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

⁶και καθως εγεινεν η φωνη αυτη, συνηλθε το πληθος και συνεταραχθη, διοτι ηκουον αυτους εις εκαστος λαλουντας με την ιδιαν αυτου διαλεκτον.

⁷And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

⁷Εξεπληττοντο δε παντες και εθαυμαζον, λεγοντες προς αλληλους· Ιδου, παντες ουτοι οι λαλουντες δεν ειναι Γαλιλαιοι;

⁸And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

⁸Και πως ημεις ακουομεν εκαστος εν τη ιδια ημων διαλεκτω, εν η εγεννηθημεν;

⁹Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

⁹Παρθοι και Μηδοι και Ελαμιται και οι κατοικουντες την Μεσοποταμιαν, την Ιουδαιαν τε και Καππαδοκιαν, τον Ποντον και την Ασιαν,

¹⁰Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

¹⁰την Φρυγιαν τε και την Παμφυλιαν, την Αιγυπτον και τα μερη της Λιβυης της κατα την Κυρηνην και οι παρεπιδημουντες Ρωμαιοι, Ιουδαιοι τε και προσηλυτοι,

¹¹Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

¹¹Κρητες και Αραβες, ακουομεν αυτους λαλουντας εν ταις γλωσσαις ημων τα μεγαλεια του Θεου.

¹²And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

¹²Εθαυμαζον δε παντες και ηπορουν, αλλος προς αλλον λεγοντες· Τι σημαινει τουτο;

¹³Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

¹³Αλλοι δε χλευαζοντες ελεγον οτι ειναι μεστοι απο γλυκυν οινον.

¹⁴But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

¹⁴[] Σταθεις δε ο Πετρος μετα των ενδεκα, υψωσε την φωνην αυτου και ελαλησε προς αυτους· Ανδρες Ιουδαιοι και παντες οι κατοικουντες την Ιερουσαλημ, τουτο ας ηναι γνωστον εις εσας και ακουσατε τους λογους μου.

¹⁵For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

¹⁵Διοτι ουτοι δεν ειναι μεθυσμενοι, καθως σεις νομιζετε· διοτι ειναι τριτη ωρα της ημερας·

¹⁶But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

¹⁶αλλα τουτο ειναι το ρηθεν δια του προφητου Ιωηλ·

¹⁷And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

¹⁷Και εν ταις εσχαταις ημεραις, λεγει ο Θεος, Θελω εκχεει απο του Πνευματος μου επι πασαν σαρκα, και θελουσι προφητευσει οι υιοι σας και αι θυγατερες σας, και οι νεανισκοι σας θελουσιν ιδει ορασεις, και οι πρεσβυτεροι σας θελουσιν ενυπνιασθη ενυπνια·

¹⁸And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

¹⁸και ετι επι τους δουλους μου και επι τας δουλας μου εν ταις ημεραις εκειναις θελω εκχεει απο του Πνευματος μου, και θελουσι προφητευσει·

¹⁹And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

¹⁹και θελω δειξει τερατα εν τω ουρανω ανω και σημεια επι της γης κατω, αιμα και πυρ και ατμιδα καπνου·

²⁰The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

²⁰ο ηλιος θελει μεταστραφη εις σκοτος και η σεληνη εις αιμα, πριν ελθη η ημερα του Κυριου η μεγαλη και επιφανης.

²¹And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

²¹Και πας οστις αν επικαλεσθη το ονομα του Κυριου, θελει σωθη.

²²Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

²²Ανδρες Ισραηλιται, ακουσατε τους λογους τουτους· τον Ιησουν τον Ναζωραιον, ανδρα αποδεδειγμενον προς εσας απο του Θεου δια θαυματων και τεραστιων και σημειων, τα οποια ο Θεος εκαμε δι' αυτου εν μεσω υμων, καθως και σεις εξευρετε,

²³Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

²³τουτον λαβοντες παραδεδομενον κατα την ωρισμενην βουλην και προγνωσιν του Θεου, δια χειρων ανομων σταυρωσαντες εθανατωσατε·

²⁴Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

²⁴τον οποιον ο Θεος ανεστησε, λυσας τας ωδινας του θανατου, διοτι δεν ητο δυνατον να κρατηται υπ' αυτου.

²⁵For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

²⁵Επειδη ο Δαβιδ λεγει περι αυτου· Εβλεπον τον Κυριον ενωπιον μου διαπαντος, διοτι ειναι εκ δεξιων μου δια να μη σαλευθω.

²⁶Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

²⁶Δια τουτο ευφρανθη η καρδια μου και ηγαλλιασεν η γλωσσα μου· ετι δε και η σαρξ μου θελει αναπαυθη επ' ελπιδι.

²⁷Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

²⁷Διοτι δεν θελεις εγκαταλειψει την ψυχην μου εν τω αδη ουδε θελεις αφησει τον οσιον σου να ιδη διαφθοραν.

²⁸Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

²⁸Εφανερωσας εις εμε οδους ζωης, θελεις με χορτασει απο ευφροσυνης δια του προσωπου σου.

²⁹Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

²⁹Ανδρες αδελφοι, δυναμαι να σας ειπω μετα παρρησιας περι του πατριαρχου Δαβιδ οτι και ετελευτησε και εταφη, και το μνημα αυτου ειναι παρ' ημιν μεχρι της ημερας ταυτης.

³⁰Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

³⁰Επειδη λοιπον ητο προφητης και ηξευρεν οτι μεθ' ορκου ωμοσε προς αυτον ο Θεος, οτι εκ του καρπου της οσφυος αυτου θελει αναστησει κατα σαρκα τον Χριστον δια να καθιση αυτον επι του θρονου αυτου,

³¹He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

³¹προιδων ελαλησε περι της αναστασεως του Χριστου οτι δεν εγκατελειφθη η ψυχη αυτου εν τω αδη ουδε η σαρξ αυτου ειδε διαφθοραν.

³²This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

³²Τουτον τον Ιησουν ανεστησεν ο Θεος, του οποιου παντες ημεις ειμεθα μαρτυρες.

³³Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

³³Αφου λοιπον υψωθη δια της δεξιας του Θεου και ελαβε παρα του Πατρος την επαγγελιαν του Αγιου Πνευματος, εξεχεε τουτο, το οποιον τωρα σεις βλεπετε και ακουετε.

³⁴For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

³⁴Διοτι ο Δαβιδ δεν ανεβη εις τους ουρανους, λεγει ομως αυτος, Ειπεν ο Κυριος προς τον Κυριον μου, καθου εκ δεξιων μου,

³⁵Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

³⁵εωσου θεσω τους εχθρους σου υποποδιον των ποδων σου.

³⁶Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

³⁶Βεβαιως λοιπον ας εξευρη πας ο οικος του Ισραηλ οτι ο Θεος Κυριον και Χριστον εκαμεν αυτον τουτον τον Ιησουν, τον οποιον σεις εσταυρωσατε.

³⁷Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

³⁷[] Αφου δε ηκουσαν ταυτα, ηλθεν εις κατανυξιν η καρδια αυτων, και ειπον προς τον Πετρον και τους λοιπους αποστολους· Τι πρεπει να καμωμεν, ανδρες αδελφοι;

³⁸Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

³⁸Και ο Πετρος ειπε προς αυτους· Μετανοησατε, και ας βαπτισθη εκαστος υμων εις το ονομα του Ιησου Χριστου εις αφεσιν αμαρτιων, και θελετε λαβει την δωρεαν του Αγιου Πνευματος.

³⁹For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

³⁹Διοτι προς εσας ειναι η επαγγελια και προς τα τεκνα σας και προς παντας τους εις μακραν, οσους αν προσκαλεση Κυριος ο Θεος ημων.

⁴⁰And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

⁴⁰Και με αλλους πολλους λογους διεμαρτυρετο και προετρεπε, λεγων, Σωθητε απο της διεστραμμενης ταυτης γενεας.

⁴¹Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

⁴¹Εκεινοι λοιπον μετα χαρας δεχθεντες τον λογον αυτου εβαπτισθησαν, και προσετεθησαν εν εκεινη τη ημερα εως τρεις χιλιαδες ψυχαι.

⁴²And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

⁴²[] Και ενεμενον εν τη διδαχη των αποστολων και εν τη κοινωνια και εν τη κλασει του αρτου και εν ταις προσευχαις.

⁴³And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

⁴³Κατελαβε δε πασαν ψυχην φοβος, και πολλα τεραστια και σημεια εγινοντο δια των αποστολων.

⁴⁴And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

⁴⁴Και παντες οι πιστευοντες ησαν ομου και ειχον τα παντα κοινα,

⁴⁵And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

⁴⁵και τα κτηματα και τα υπαρχοντα αυτων επωλουν και διεμοιραζον αυτα εις παντας, καθ' ην εκαστος ειχε χρειαν.

⁴⁶And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

⁴⁶Και καθ' ημεραν εμμενοντες ομοθυμαδον εν τω ιερω και κοπτοντες τον αρτον κατ' οικους, μετελαμβανον την τροφην εν αγαλλιασει και απλοτητι καρδιας,

⁴⁷Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

⁴⁷δοξολογουντες τον Θεον και ευρισκοντες χαριν ενωπιον ολου του λαου. Ο δε Κυριος προσεθετε καθ' ημεραν εις την εκκλησιαν τους σωζομενους.
