1Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
1[] Αφου δε το τειχος εκτισθη, και εστησα τας θυρας, και διωρισθησαν οι πυλωροι και οι ψαλτωδοι και οι Λευιται,
2That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
2προσεταξα περι της Ιερουσαλημ τον αδελφον μου Ανανι και τον Ανανιαν τον αρχοντα του φρουριου· διοτι ητο ως ανθρωπος πιστος και φοβουμενος τον Θεον, υπερ πολλους.
3And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.
3Και ειπα προς αυτους, Ας μη ανοιγωνται αι πυλαι της Ιερουσαλημ εωσου θερμανη ο ηλιος· και εκεινων ετι παροντων, να κλειωνται αι θυραι και να ασφαλιζωνται και φυλακαι να διοριζωνται εκ των κατοικων της Ιερουσαλημ, εκαστος εν τη φυλακη αυτου και εκαστος απεναντι της οικιας αυτου.
4Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.
4Και η πολις ητο ευρυχωρος και μεγαλη, ο δε λαος ολιγος εν αυτη, και οικιαι δεν ησαν ωκοδομημεναι.
5And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,
5[] Και εβαλεν ο Θεος μου εν τη καρδια μου να συναξω τους προκριτους και τους προεστωτας και τον λαον, δια να αριθμηθωσι κατα γενεαλογιαν. Και ευρηκα βιβλιον της γενεαλογιας εκεινων, οιτινες ανεβησαν κατ' αρχας και ευρηκα γεγραμμενον εν αυτω.
6These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;
6Ουτοι ειναι οι ανθρωποι της επαρχιας, οι αναβαντες εκ της αιχμαλωσιας, εκ των μετοικισθεντων, τους οποιους μετωκισε Ναβουχοδονοσορ ο βασιλευς της Βαβυλωνος, και επιστρεψαντες εις Ιερουσαλημ και εις την Ιουδαιαν, εκαστος εις την πολιν αυτου·
7Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;
7οι ελθοντες μετα Ζοροβαβελ, Ιησου, Νεεμια, Αζαρια, Ρααμια, Νααμανι, Μαροδοχαιου, Βιλσαν, Μισπερεθ, Βιγουαι, Νεουμ, Βαανα. Αριθμος των ανδρων του λαου Ισραηλ·
8The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.
8υιοι Φαρως, δισχιλιοι εκατον εβδομηκοντα δυο.
9The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.
9Υιοι Σεφατια, τριακοσιοι εβδομηκοντα δυο.
10The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.
10Υιοι Αραχ, εξακοσιοι πεντηκοντα δυο.
11The children of Pahathmoab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.
11Υιοι Φααθ-μωαβ, εκ των υιων Ιησου και Ιωαβ, δισχιλιοι και οκτακοσιοι δεκαοκτω.
12The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
12Υιοι Ελαμ, χιλιοι διακοσιοι πεντηκοντα τεσσαρες.

29Ανδρες Κιριαθ-ιαρειμ, Χεφειρα, και Βηρωθ, επτακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα τρεις.
30The men of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred twenty and one.
30Ανδρες Ραμα και Γαβαα, εξακοσιοι εικοσι και εις.
31The men of Michmas, an hundred and twenty and two.
31Ανδρες Μιχμας, εκατον εικοσιδυο.

46The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,

60All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
60Παντες οι Νεθινειμ, και οι υιοι των δουλων του Σολομωντος, ησαν τριακοσιοι ενενηκοντα δυο.
61And these were they which went up also from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.
61Ουτοι δε ησαν οι αναβαντες απο Θελ-μελαχ, Θελ-αρησα, Χερουβ, Αδδων, και Ιμμηρ· δεν ηδυναντο ομως να δειξωσι τον οικον της πατριας αυτων και το σπερμα αυτων, αν ησαν εκ του Ισραηλ·
62The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
62Υιοι Δαλαια, υιοι Τωβια, υιοι Νεκωδα, εξακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα δυο.
63And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
63Και εκ των ιερεων· υιοι Αβαια, υιοι Ακκως, υιοι Βαρζελλαι, οστις ελαβε γυναικα εκ των θυγατερων Βαρζελλαι του Γαλααδιτου και ωνομασθη κατα το ονομα αυτων.
64These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
64Ουτοι εζητησαν την καταγραφην αυτων μεταξυ των απαριθμηθεντων κατα γενεαλογιαν, και δεν ευρεθη· οθεν εξεβληθησαν απο της ιερατειας.
65And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
65Και ειπε προς αυτους ο Θιρσαθα, να μη φαγωσιν απο των αγιωτατων πραγματων, εωσου αναστηθη ιερευς μετα Ουριμ και Θουμμιμ.
66The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,
66Πασα η συναξις ομου ησαν τεσσαρακοντα δυο χιλιαδες τριακοσιοι εξηκοντα,
67Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.
67εκτος των δουλων αυτων και των θεραπαινιδων αυτων, οιτινες ησαν επτακισχιλιοι τριακοσιοι τριακοντα επτα· και πλην τουτων διακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε ψαλτωδοι και ψαλτριαι.
68Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:
68Οι ιπποι αυτων, επτακοσιοι τριακοντα εξ· αι ημιονοι αυτων, διακοσιαι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε·
69Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.
69αι καμηλοι, τετρακοσιαι τριακοντα πεντε· αι ονοι, εξακισχιλιαι επτακοσιαι εικοσι.
70And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.
70Και τινες εκ των αρχηγων των πατριων εδωκαν δια το εργον. Ο Θιρσαθα εδωκεν εις το θησαυροφυλακιον χιλιας δραχμας χρυσιου, πεντηκοντα φιαλας, πεντακοσιους τριακοντα ιερατικους χιτωνας.
71And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.
71Και τινες εκ των αρχηγων των πατριων εδωκαν εις το θησαυροφυλακιον του εργου εικοσι χιλιαδας δραχμας χρυσιου και δυο χιλιαδας διακοσιας μνας αργυριου.
72And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests' garments.
72Και το δοθεν απο του επιλοιπου λαου ητο εικοσι χιλιαδες δραχμαι χρυσιου, και δισχιλιαι μναι αργυριου, και εξηκοντα επτα ιερατικοι χιτωνες.
73So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
73Ουτως οι ιερεις και οι Λευιται και οι πυλωροι και οι ψαλτωδοι και μερος εκ του λαου και οι Νεθινειμ και πας ο Ισραηλ, κατωκησαν εν ταις πολεσιν αυτων. Και οτε εφθασεν ο εβδομος μην, οι υιοι Ισραηλ ησαν εν ταις πολεσιν αυτων.
