1O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
1[] <<Εις τον πρωτον μουσικον. Ψαλμος του Δαβιδ.>> Κυριε, εδοκιμασας με και με εγνωρισας.
2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
2Συ γνωριζεις το καθισμα μου και την εγερσιν μου· νοεις τους λογισμους μου απο μακροθεν.
3Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
3Εξερευνας το περιπατημα μου και το πλαγιασμα μου και πασας τας οδους μου γνωριζεις.
4For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
4Διοτι και πριν ελθη ο λογος εις την γλωσσαν μου, ιδου, Κυριε, γνωριζεις το παν.
5Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
5Με περικυκλονεις οπισθεν και εμπροσθεν, και εθεσας επ' εμε την χειρα σου.
6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
6Η γνωσις αυτη ειναι υπερθαυμαστος εις εμε· ειναι υψηλη· δεν δυναμαι να φθασω εις αυτην.
7Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
7[] Που να υπαγω απο του πνευματος σου; και απο του προσωπου σου που να φυγω;
8If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
8Εαν αναβω εις τον ουρανον, εισαι εκει· εαν πλαγιασω εις τον αδην, ιδου, συ.
9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
9Εαν λαβω τας πτερυγας της αυγης και κατοικησω εις τα εσχατα της θαλασσης,
10Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
10και εκει θελει με οδηγησει η χειρ σου και η δεξια σου θελει με κρατει.
11If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
11Εαν ειπω, Αλλα το σκοτος θελει με σκεπασει, και η νυξ θελει εισθαι φως περι εμε·
12Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
12και αυτο το σκοτος δεν σκεπαζει ουδεν απο σου· και η νυξ λαμπει ως η ημερα· εις σε το σκοτος ειναι ως το φως.
13For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
13Διοτι συ εμορφωσας τους νεφρους μου· με περιετυλιξας εν τη κοιλια της μητρος μου.
14I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
14Θελω σε υμνει, διοτι φοβερως και θαυμασιως επλασθην· θαυμασια ειναι τα εργα σου· και η ψυχη μου καλλιστα γνωριζει τουτο.
15My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
15Δεν εκρυφθησαν τα οστα μου απο σου, ενω επλαττομην εν τω κρυπτω και διεμορφονομην εν τοις κατωτατοις της γης.
16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
16Το αδιαμορφωτον του σωματος μου ειδον οι οφθαλμοι σου· και εν τω βιβλιω σου παντα ταυτα ησαν γεγραμμενα, ως και αι ημεραι καθ' ας εσχηματιζοντο, και ενω ουδεν εκ τουτων υπηρχε·
17How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
17[] ποσον δε πολυτιμοι ειναι εις εμε αι βουλαι σου, Θεε· ποσον εμεγαλυνθη ο αριθμος αυτων.
18If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
18Εαν ηθελον να απαριθμησω αυτας, υπερβαινουσι την αμμον· εξυπνω, και ετι ειμαι μετα σου.
19Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
19Βεβαιως θελεις θανατωσει τους ασεβεις, Θεε· απομακρυνθητε λοιπον απ' εμου, ανδρες αιματων.
20For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
20Διοτι λαλουσι κατα σου ασεβως· οι εχθροι σου λαμβανουσι το ονομα σου επι ματαιω.
21Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
21Μη δεν μισω, Κυριε, τους μισουντας σε; και δεν αγανακτω κατα των επανισταμενων επι σε;
22I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
22Με τελειον μισος μισω αυτους· δια εχθρους εχω αυτους.
23Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
23Δοκιμασον με, Θεε, και γνωρισον την καρδιαν μου· εξετασον με και μαθε τους στοχασμους μου·
24And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
24και ιδε, αν υπαρχη εν εμοι οδος ανομιας· και οδηγησον με εις την οδον την αιωνιον.
