¹O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

¹[] Θεε των εκδικησεων, Κυριε, Θεε των εκδικησεων, εμφανηθι.

²Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

²Υψωθητι, Κριτα της γης· αποδος ανταποδοσιν εις τους υπερηφανους.

³LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

³Εως ποτε οι ασεβεις, Κυριε, εως ποτε οι ασεβεις θελουσι θριαμβευει;

⁴How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

⁴Εως ποτε θελουσι προφερει και λαλει σκληρα; θελουσι καυχασθαι παντες οι εργαται της ανομιας;

⁵They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

⁵Τον λαον σου, Κυριε, καταθλιβουσι και την κληρονομιαν σου κακοποιουσι.

⁶They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

⁶Την χηραν και τον ξενον φονευουσι και θανατονουσι τους ορφανους.

⁷Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

⁷Και λεγουσι, δεν θελει ιδει ο Κυριος ουδε θελει νοησει ο Θεος του Ιακωβ.

⁸Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

⁸Εννοησατε, οι αφρονες μεταξυ του λαου· και οι μωροι, ποτε θελετε φρονιμευσει;

⁹He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

⁹Ο φυτευσας το ωτιον, δεν θελει ακουσει; ο πλασας τον οφθαλμον, δεν θελει ιδει;

¹⁰He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

¹⁰Ο σωφρονιζων τα εθνη, δεν θελει ελεγξει; ο διδασκων τον ανθρωπον γνωσιν;

¹¹The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

¹¹Ο Κυριος γνωριζει τους διαλογισμους των ανθρωπων, οτι ειναι ματαιοι.

¹²Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

¹²[] Μακαριος ο ανθρωπος, τον οποιον σωφρονιζεις, Κυριε, και δια του νομου σου διδασκεις αυτον·

¹³That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

¹³δια να αναπαυης αυτον απο των ημερων της συμφορας, εωσου σκαφθη λακκος εις τον ασεβη.

¹⁴For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁴Διοτι δεν θελει απορριψει ο Κυριος τον λαον αυτου, και την κληρονομιαν αυτου δεν θελει εγκαταλειψει.

¹⁵But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁵Επειδη η κρισις θελει επιστρεψει εις την δικαιοσυνην, και θελουσιν ακολουθησει αυτην παντες οι ευθεις την καρδιαν.

¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

¹⁶Τις θελει σηκωθη υπερ εμου κατα των πονηρευομενων; τις θελει παρασταθη υπερ εμου κατα των εργατων της ανομιας;

¹⁷Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

¹⁷Εαν ο Κυριος δεν με εβοηθει, παρ' ολιγον ηθελε κατοικησει ψυχη μου εν τη σιωπη.

¹⁸When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

¹⁸Οτε ελεγον, ωλισθησεν ο πους μου, το ελεος σου, Κυριε, με εβοηθει.

¹⁹In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

¹⁹Εν τω πληθει των αμηχανιων της καρδιας μου, αι παρηγοριαι σου ευφραναν την ψυχην μου.

²⁰Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

²⁰Μηπως εχει μετα σου συγκοινωνιαν ο θρονος της ανομιας, οστις μηχαναται αδικιαν αντι νομου;

²¹They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

²¹Αυτοι εφορμωσι κατα της ψυχης του δικαιου και αιμα αθωον καταδικαζουσιν.

²²But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

²²Αλλ' ο Κυριος ειναι εις εμε καταφυγιον και ο Θεος μου το φρουριον της ελπιδος μου.

²³And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

²³Και θελει επιστρεψει επ' αυτους την ανομιαν αυτων και εν τη πονηρια αυτων θελει αφανισει αυτους· Κυριος ο Θεος ημων θελει αφανισει αυτους.
