1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
1[] Και ειδον ουρανον νεον και γην νεαν· διοτι ο πρωτος ουρανος και η πρωτη γη παρηλθε, και η θαλασσα δεν υπαρχει πλεον.
2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
2Και εγω ο Ιωαννης ειδον την πολιν την αγιαν, την νεαν Ιερουσαλημ καταβαινουσαν απο του Θεου εκ του ουρανου, ητοιμασμενην ως νυμφην κεκοσμημενην δια τον ανδρα αυτης.
3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
3Και ηκουσα φωνην μεγαλην εκ του ουρανου, λεγουσαν· Ιδου, η σκηνη του Θεου μετα των ανθρωπων, και θελει σκηνωσει μετ' αυτων, και αυτοι θελουσιν εισθαι λαοι αυτου, και αυτος ο Θεος θελει εισθαι μετ' αυτων Θεος αυτων·
4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
4και θελει εξαλειψει ο Θεος παν δακρυον απο των οφθαλμων αυτων, και ο θανατος δεν θελει υπαρχει πλεον, ουτε πενθος ουτε κραυγη ουτε πονος δεν θελουσιν υπαρχει πλεον· διοτι τα πρωτα παρηλθον.
5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
5Και ειπεν ο καθημενος επι του θρονου· Ιδου, καμνω νεα τα παντα. Και λεγει προς εμε· Γραψον, διοτι ουτοι οι λογοι ειναι αληθινοι και πιστοι.
6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
6Και ειπε προς εμε· Ετελεσθη. Εγω ειμαι το Α και το Ω, η αρχη και το τελος. Εγω θελω δωσει εις τον διψωντα εκ της πηγης του υδατος της ζωης δωρεαν.
7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
7Ο νικων θελει κληρονομησει τα παντα, και θελω εισθαι εις αυτον Θεος και αυτος θελει εισθαι εις εμε υιος.
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
8Οι δε δειλοι και απιστοι και βδελυκτοι και φονεις και πορνοι και μαγοι και ειδωλολατραι και παντες οι ψευσται θελουσιν εχει την μεριδα αυτων εν τη λιμνη τη καιομενη με πυρ και θειον· ουτος ειναι ο δευτερος θανατος.
9And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
9[] Και ηλθε προς εμε εις των επτα αγγελων των εχοντων τας επτα φιαλας τας πληρεις απο των επτα εσχατων πληγων, και ελαλησε μετ' εμου, λεγων· Ελθε, θελω σοι δειξει την νυμφην, του Αρνιου την γυναικα.
10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
10Και με εφερεν εν πνευματι επι ορος μεγα και υψηλον, και μοι εδειξε την πολιν την μεγαλην, την αγιαν Ιερουσαλημ, καταβαινουσαν εκ του ουρανου απο του Θεου,
11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
11εχουσαν την δοξαν του Θεου· και η λαμπροτης αυτης ητο ομοια με λιθον πολυτιμον, ως λιθον ιασπιν κρυσταλλιζοντα·
12And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
12και ειχε τειχος μεγα και υψηλον, ειχε και δωδεκα πυλωνας, και εις τους πυλωνας δωδεκα αγγελους, και ονοματα επιγεγραμμενα, τα οποια ειναι των δωδεκα φυλων των υιων Ισραηλ.
13On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
13Προς ανατολας πυλωνες τρεις, προς βορραν πυλωνες τρεις, προς νοτον πυλωνες τρεις, προς δυσμας πυλωνες τρεις.
14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
14Και το τειχος της πολεως ειχε θεμελια δωδεκα, και εν αυτοις τα ονοματα των δωδεκα αποστολων του Αρνιου.
15And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
15Και ο λαλων μετ' εμου ειχε καλαμον χρυσουν, δια να μετρηση την πολιν και τους πυλωνας αυτης και το τειχος αυτης.
16And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
16Και πολις κειται τετραγωνος, και το μηκος αυτης ειναι τοσουτον οσον και το πλατος. Και εμετρησε την πολιν με τον καλαμον εως δωδεκα χιλιαδας σταδιων· το μηκος και το πλατος και το υψος αυτης ειναι ισα.
17And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
17Και εμετρησε το τειχος αυτης, εκατον τεσσαρακοντα τεσσαρων πηχων, κατα το μετρον του ανθρωπου, ηγουν του αγγελου.
18And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
18Και η οικοδομησις του τειχους αυτης ητο ιασπις, και η πολις χρυσιον καθαρον, ομοια με υαλον καθαρον.
19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
19Και τα θεμελια του τειχους της πολεως ησαν κεκοσμημενα με παντα λιθον πολυτιμον· το πρωτον θεμελιον ιασπις, το δευτερον σαπφειρος, το τριτον χαλκηδων, το τεταρτον σμαραγδος,
20The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
20το πεμπτον σαρδονυξ, το εκτον σαρδιος, το εβδομον χρυσολιθος, το ογδοον βηρυλλος, το εννατον τοπαζιον, το δεκατον χρυσοπρασος, το ενδεκατον υακινθος, το δωδεκατον αμεθυστος.
21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
21Και οι δωδεκα πυλωνες ησαν δωδεκα μαργαριται· εκαστος των πυλωνων ητο εξ ενος μαργαριτου και η πλατεια της πολεως χρυσιον καθαρον ως υαλος διαφανης.
22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
22Και ναον δεν ειδον εν αυτη· διοτι ναος αυτης ειναι ο Κυριος ο Θεος ο παντοκρατωρ και το Αρνιον.
23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
23Και η πολις δεν εχει χρειαν του ηλιου ουδε της σεληνης, δια να φεγγωσιν εν αυτη· διοτι η δοξα του Θεου εφωτισεν αυτην, και ο λυχνος αυτης ειναι το Αρνιον.
24And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
24Και τα εθνη των σωζομενων θελουσι περιπατει εν τω φωτι αυτης· και οι βασιλεις της γης φερουσι την δοξαν και την τιμην αυτων εις αυτην.
25And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
25Και οι πυλωνες αυτης δεν θελουσι κλεισθη την ημεραν· διοτι νυξ δεν θελει εισθαι εκει.
26And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
26Και θελουσι φερει την δοξαν και την τιμην των εθνων εις αυτην.
27And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
27Και δεν θελει εισελθει εις αυτην ουδεν το οποιον μιαινει και προξενει βδελυγμα και ψευδος, αλλα μονον οι γεγραμμενοι εν τω βιβλιω της ζωης του Αρνιου.
