¹אדם שת אנוש׃

²Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,

²קינן מהללאל ירד׃

³Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

³חנוך מתושלח למך׃

⁴Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

⁴נח שם חם ויפת׃

⁵The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

⁵בני יפת גמר ומגוג ומדי ויון ותבל ומשך ותירס׃

⁶And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

⁶ובני גמר אשכנז ודיפת ותוגרמה׃

⁷And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

⁷ובני יון אלישה ותרשישה כתים ורודנים׃

⁸The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

⁸בני חם כוש ומצרים פוט וכנען׃

⁹And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

⁹ובני כוש סבא וחוילה וסבתא ורעמא וסבתכא ובני רעמא שבא ודדן׃

¹⁰And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.

¹⁰וכוש ילד את נמרוד הוא החל להיות גבור בארץ׃

¹¹And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

¹¹ומצרים ילד את לודיים ואת ענמים ואת להבים ואת נפתחים׃

¹²And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.

¹²ואת פתרסים ואת כסלחים אשר יצאו משם פלשתים ואת כפתרים׃

¹³And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

¹³וכנען ילד את צידון בכרו ואת חת׃

¹⁴The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

¹⁴ואת היבוסי ואת האמרי ואת הגרגשי׃

¹⁵And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

¹⁵ואת החוי ואת הערקי ואת הסיני׃

¹⁶And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

¹⁶ואת הארודי ואת הצמרי ואת החמתי׃

¹⁷The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

¹⁷בני שם עילם ואשור וארפכשד ולוד וארם ועוץ וחול וגתר ומשך׃

¹⁸And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

¹⁸וארפכשד ילד את שלח ושלח ילד את עבר׃

¹⁹And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

¹⁹ולעבר ילד שני בנים שם האחד פלג כי בימיו נפלגה הארץ ושם אחיו יקטן׃

²⁰And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

²⁰ויקטן ילד את אלמודד ואת שלף ואת חצרמות ואת ירח׃

²¹Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,

²¹ואת הדורם ואת אוזל ואת דקלה׃

²²And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

²²ואת עיבל ואת אבימאל ואת שבא׃

²³And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

²³ואת אופיר ואת חוילה ואת יובב כל אלה בני יקטן׃

²⁴Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

²⁴שם ארפכשד שלח׃

²⁵Eber, Peleg, Reu,

²⁵עבר פלג רעו׃

²⁶Serug, Nahor, Terah,

²⁶שרוג נחור תרח׃

²⁷Abram; the same is Abraham.

²⁷אברם הוא אברהם׃

²⁸The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

²⁸בני אברהם יצחק וישמעאל׃

²⁹These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

²⁹אלה תלדותם בכור ישמעאל נביות וקדר ואדבאל ומבשם׃

³⁰Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

³⁰משמע ודומה משא חדד ותימא׃

³¹Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

³¹יטור נפיש וקדמה אלה הם בני ישמעאל׃

³²Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.

³²ובני קטורה פילגש אברהם ילדה את זמרן ויקשן ומדן ומדין וישבק ושוח ובני יקשן שבא ודדן׃

³³And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.

³³ובני מדין עיפה ועפר וחנוך ואבידע ואלדעה כל אלה בני קטורה׃

³⁴And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.

³⁴ויולד אברהם את יצחק בני יצחק עשו וישראל׃

³⁵The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

³⁵בני עשו אליפז רעואל ויעוש ויעלם וקרח׃

³⁶The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

³⁶בני אליפז תימן ואומר צפי וגעתם קנז ותמנע ועמלק׃

³⁷The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

³⁷בני רעואל נחת זרח שמה ומזה׃

³⁸And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezar, and Dishan.

³⁸ובני שעיר לוטן ושובל וצבעון וענה ודישן ואצר ודישן׃

³⁹And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister.

³⁹ובני לוטן חרי והומם ואחות לוטן תמנע׃

⁴⁰The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. and the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.

⁴⁰בני שובל עלין ומנחת ועיבל שפי ואונם ובני צבעון איה וענה׃

⁴¹The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

⁴¹בני ענה דישון ובני דישון חמרן ואשבן ויתרן וכרן׃

⁴²The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.

⁴²בני אצר בלהן וזעון יעקן בני דישון עוץ וארן׃

⁴³Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

⁴³ואלה המלכים אשר מלכו בארץ אדום לפני מלך מלך לבני ישראל בלע בן בעור ושם עירו דנהבה׃

⁴⁴And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

⁴⁴וימת בלע וימלך תחתיו יובב בן זרח מבצרה׃

⁴⁵And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

⁴⁵וימת יובב וימלך תחתיו חושם מארץ התימני׃

⁴⁶And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

⁴⁶וימת חושם וימלך תחתיו הדד בן בדד המכה את מדין בשדה מואב ושם עירו עיות׃

⁴⁷And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

⁴⁷וימת הדד וימלך תחתיו שמלה ממשרקה׃

⁴⁸And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

⁴⁸וימת שמלה וימלך תחתיו שאול מרחבות הנהר׃

⁴⁹And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

⁴⁹וימת שאול וימלך תחתיו בעל חנן בן עכבור׃

⁵⁰And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

⁵⁰וימת בעל חנן וימלך תחתיו הדד ושם עירו פעי ושם אשתו מהיטבאל בת מטרד בת מי זהב׃

⁵¹Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

⁵¹וימת הדד ויהיו אלופי אדום אלוף תמנע אלוף עליה אלוף יתת׃

⁵²Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

⁵²אלוף אהליבמה אלוף אלה אלוף פינן׃

⁵³Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

⁵³אלוף קנז אלוף תימן אלוף מבצר׃

⁵⁴Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.

⁵⁴אלוף מגדיאל אלוף עירם אלה אלופי אדום׃
