¹Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

¹Laki-laki itu membawa aku kembali ke pintu masuk Rumah TUHAN. Kulihat air mengalir dari bawah pintu itu ke arah timur, seperti Rumah TUHAN pun menghadap ke timur. Air itu mengalir dari bawah ambang pintu Rumah TUHAN bagian selatan melalui sisi selatan dari mezbah.

²Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

²Kemudian laki-laki itu membawa aku keluar lewat gerbang utara dan menuntun aku ke gerbang timur. Sungai kecil itu mengalir dari sisi selatan gerbang itu.

³And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

³Sambil mengukur dengan tongkat pengukurnya, laki-laki itu membawa aku mengikuti arus sungai itu ke timur sejauh 500 meter, lalu menyuruh aku menyeberang. Pada tempat itu airnya hanya setinggi mata kaki.

⁴Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

⁴Kemudian ia mengukur 500 meter lagi, dan di situ airnya sampai ke lutut. Ia mengukur 500 meter lagi, dan airnya mencapai pinggang.

⁵Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

⁵Sekali lagi ia mengukur sejauh 500 meter, dan di situ airnya terlalu dalam untuk dilalui dengan berjalan kaki. Jika orang mau menyeberang haruslah ia berenang.

⁶And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.

⁶Lalu kata orang itu kepadaku, "Hai manusia fana, perhatikanlah ini semua baik-baik." Kemudian ia membawa aku kembali menyusuri sungai,

⁷Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

⁷dan aku melihat bahwa pada kedua tepi sungai itu ada banyak sekali pohon.

⁸Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

⁸Ia berkata kepadaku, "Sungai ini mengalir ke timur melalui negeri ini dan melalui Lembah Sungai Yordan menuju ke Laut Mati. Jika airnya sampai ke dalam Laut Mati, maka air laut yang asin itu digantinya dengan air tawar.

⁹And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

⁹Ke mana pun sungai ini mengalir, di situ pula akan terdapat segala macam ikan dan binatang lain. Air Laut Mati akan dibuatnya menjadi tawar, dan ke mana pun air itu mengalir, di situ akan ada kehidupan.

¹⁰And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

¹⁰Dari sumber-sumber air di En-Gedi sampai ke sumber-sumber air di En-Eglaim, bagian-bagian tepinya akan ramai dengan para nelayan yang menjemur jala mereka di situ. Segala macam ikan akan ada di dalam air itu, seperti yang ada dalam Laut Tengah.

¹¹But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

¹¹Tetapi air di rawa-rawa dan paya-paya di sepanjang pantai itu tidak akan menjadi tawar, melainkan tetap merupakan sumber garam.

¹²And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

¹²Di sepanjang kedua tepi sungai itu tumbuh segala macam pohon buah-buahan. Daun pohon itu tidak pernah layu, dan buah-buahnya tidak pernah habis. Pohon-pohon itu akan menghasilkan buah-buahan yang baru setiap bulan, sebab air yang mengairinya mengalir dari Rumah TUHAN. Buah-buahnya menjadi makanan dan daun-daunnya berguna untuk obat."

¹³Thus saith the Lord GOD; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

¹³TUHAN Yang Mahatinggi berkata, "Inilah batas-batas tanah yang akan dibagi-bagikan kepada keduabelas suku Israel. Suku Yusuf menerima dua bagian.

¹⁴And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

¹⁴Aku telah bersumpah bahwa tanah itu akan Kuberikan kepada nenek moyangmu. Sebab itu, ambillah tanah itu dan bagilah dengan adil di antara kamu.

¹⁵And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;

¹⁵Perbatasan di sebelah utara dimulai dari Laut Tengah menuju ke timur sampai ke kota Hetlon, ke arah Hamat, terus ke kota Zedad,

¹⁶Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazarhatticon, which is by the coast of Hauran.

¹⁶ke Berota dan Sibraim (kota-kota itu terletak di antara kota Damsyik dan kota Hamat), kemudian ke kota Hazar-Enan, di perbatasan kota Hauran.

¹⁷And the border from the sea shall be Hazarenan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.

¹⁷Jadi, perbatasan sebelah utara dimulai dari Laut Tengah sampai ke timur, ke kota Hazar-Enan; maka daerah Damsyik dan Hamat ada di sebelah utara perbatasan itu.

¹⁸And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And this is the east side.

¹⁸Perbatasan di sebelah timur menuju ke selatan, dari suatu tempat antara daerah Damsyik dan daerah Hauran. Jadi Sungai Yordan merupakan batas antara tanah Israel di sebelah barat dan Gilead di sebelah timur, sampai ke Tamar di pantai Laut Mati.

¹⁹And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.

¹⁹Perbatasan di sebelah selatan menuju ke barat daya, dari Tamar ke mata air Kades-Meriba, lalu ke barat laut sepanjang perbatasan Mesir sampai ke Laut Tengah.

²⁰The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side.

²⁰Perbatasan di sebelah barat dibentuk oleh Laut Tengah, lalu menuju ke utara ke sebuah tempat di sebelah barat jalan masuk ke Hamat.

²¹So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel.

²¹Bagilah tanah itu di antara kamu, menurut suku-suku Israel;

²²And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

²²dan tanah itu adalah milikmu untuk selama-lamanya. Orang-orang asing yang menetap di tengah-tengahmu, dan mempunyai anak-anak yang lahir di situ, harus juga mendapat bagian dari tanah itu. Mereka harus dianggap sebagai warga penuh dari bangsa Israel, dan mereka harus turut diundi untuk mendapat tanah pada waktu diadakan pembagian tanah di antara suku-suku Israel.

²³And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord GOD.

²³Setiap penduduk asing harus diberi tanah bersama suku Israel di mana ia tinggal. Aku, TUHAN Yang Mahatinggi telah berbicara."
