¹This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.

¹Keluarga-keluarga dari suku Yehuda menerima bagian tanah yang batas-batasnya adalah sebagai berikut: Di sebelah selatan, daerah itu terbentang sampai ujung paling selatan daerah padang gurun Zin di perbatasan Edom;

²And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:

²mulai dari ujung selatan Laut Mati,

³And it went out to the south side to Maalehacrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadeshbarnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:

³terus ke selatan melalui lereng-lereng gunung di Akrabim sampai ke Zin. Selanjutnya melalui selatan Kades-Barnea, terus melalui Hezron, naik ke Adar, kemudian membelok ke arah Karka.

⁴From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.

⁴Dari situ terus pula ke Azmon, lalu menyusur anak sungai di perbatasan Mesir, kemudian berakhir di Laut Tengah. Demikianlah garis perbatasan sebelah selatan daerah untuk Suku Yehuda. Dan garis perbatasan itu merupakan pula garis perbatasan sebelah selatan seluruh negeri Israel.

⁵And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:

⁵Di sebelah timur, batasnya ialah Laut Mati, terus ke utara sampai ke muara Sungai Yordan. Di sebelah utara, batasnya mulai dari muara Sungai Yordan itu,

⁶And the border went up to Bethhogla, and passed along by the north of Betharabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:

⁶naik ke Bet-Hogla, lalu terus ke batas Lembah Yordan. Dari situ perbatasan utara itu naik terus ke utara sampai ke Batu Bohan (Bohan adalah anak Ruben),

⁷And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were at Enrogel:

⁷kemudian terus ke Lembah Kesusahan sampai ke Debir, lalu belok lagi ke utara ke arah Gilgal di tempat yang berhadapan dengan lereng-lereng gunung di Adumim sebelah selatan lembah itu. Dari situ terus lagi ke sumber air En-Semes, lalu ke En-Rogel,

⁸And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:

⁸kemudian naik melalui Lembah Hinom ke sebelah selatan bukit, di mana terletak Yerusalem, kota orang Yebus. Dari situ garis perbatasan itu menuju ke puncak bukit itu di sebelah barat Lembah Hinom, di ujung utara Lembah Refaim,

⁹And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjathjearim:

⁹kemudian terus ke sumber air Me-Neftoah, sampai ke kota-kota dekat Gunung Efron. Dari situ garis batas daerah itu membelok ke arah Baala (yaitu Kiryat-Yearim),

¹⁰And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Bethshemesh, and passed on to Timnah:

¹⁰dan mengelilingi bagian barat Baala ke arah Pegunungan Edom, lalu terus ke bagian utara Gunung Yearim (yaitu Gunung Kesalon), dan turun ke Bet-Semes, kemudian terus ke Timna.

¹¹And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.

¹¹Dari Timna, garis batas itu selanjutnya menuju ke sebelah utara Gunung Ekron, lalu membelok ke arah Sikron, lewat Gunung Baala, terus ke Yabneel, dan berakhir di Laut Tengah,

¹²And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.

¹²yang merupakan garis perbatasan sebelah barat wilayah suku Yehuda. Di dalam wilayah itu tinggal orang-orang dari keluarga-keluarga dalam suku Yehuda.

¹³And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.

¹³Sesuai dengan perintah TUHAN kepada Yosua, sebagian daerah Yehuda diberikan kepada Kaleb anak Yefune dari suku Yehuda. Kepadanya diberikan Hebron, yaitu kota kepunyaan Arba, ayah Enak.

¹⁴And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.

¹⁴Keturunan Enak ialah orang Sesai, Ahiman dan Talmai. Kaleb mengusir mereka semuanya dari Hebron.

¹⁵And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher.

¹⁵Dari situ ia pergi menyerang orang-orang yang tinggal di Debir. (Kota itu dahulu terkenal sebagai Kiryat-Sefer.)

¹⁶And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjathsepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

¹⁶Kata Kaleb, "Barangsiapa dapat merebut Kiryat-Sefer, ia boleh kawin dengan anak perempuan saya, Akhsa."

¹⁷And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.

¹⁷Otniel, anak dari saudara Kaleb yang bernama Kenas, merebut kota itu; maka Kaleb memberikan Akhsa, anaknya, menjadi istri Otniel.

¹⁸And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?

¹⁸Pada hari perkawinan mereka, Otniel mendesak Akhsa supaya meminta sebidang tanah dari ayahnya. Maka turunlah Akhsa dari keledainya, lalu Kaleb menanyakan kepadanya apa yang diinginkannya.

¹⁹Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.

¹⁹Akhsa menjawab, "Saya ingin beberapa sumber air, sebab tanah yang ayah berikan kepada saya itu berada di daerah yang kering." Maka Kaleb memberikan kepadanya sumber air di bagian hulu dan sumber air di bagian hilir.

²⁰This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.

²⁰Berikut ini adalah tanah yang diberikan kepada keluarga-keluarga dalam suku Yehuda untuk menjadi milik mereka.

²¹And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,

²¹Kota-kota yang paling jauh di sebelah selatan, yang menjadi milik Yehuda, yaitu yang terletak di perbatasan Edom, semuanya ada dua puluh sembilan kota, termasuk desa-desa di sekitarnya. Kota-kota itu ialah: Kabzeel, Eder, Yagur, Kina, Dimona, Adada, Kedes, Hazor, Yitnan, Zif, Telem, Bealot, Hazor-Hadata, Keriot-Hezron (yaitu Hazor), Amam, Sema, Molada, Hazar-Gada, Hesmon, Bet-Pelet, Hazar-Sual, Bersyeba, Baala, Iyim, Ezem, Eltolad, Khesil, Horma, Ziklag, Madmana, Sansana, Lebaot, Silhim, Ain dan Rimon.

⁴⁵Ekron, with her towns and her villages:

⁴⁵Juga Ekron dengan kota-kota kecil dan desa-desanya,

⁴⁶From Ekron even unto the sea, all that lay near Ashdod, with their villages:

⁴⁶serta semua kota-kota dan desa-desa di dekat Asdod, dari Ekron sampai ke Laut Tengah.

⁴⁷Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof:

⁴⁷Begitu pula Asdod dan Gaza dengan kota-kota kecil dan desa-desanya yang tersebar sampai dekat anak sungai di perbatasan Mesir dan pantai Laut Tengah.

⁴⁸And in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,

⁴⁸Di daerah pegunungan ada sebelas kota bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Samir, Yatir, Sokho, Dana, Kiryat-Sana (yaitu Debir), Anab, Estemoa, Anim, Gosyen, Holon dan Gilo.

⁴⁹And Dannah, and Kirjathsannah, which is Debir,

⁵⁵Juga sepuluh kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Maon, Karmel, Zif, Yuta, Yizreel, Yokdeam, Zanoah, Kain, Gibea dan Timna.

⁵⁸Halhul, Bethzur, and Gedor,

⁵⁸Dan enam kota berikut ini pula, bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Halhul, Bet-Zur, Gedor, Maarat, Bet-Anot dan Eltekon.

⁵⁹And Maarath, and Bethanoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages:

⁵⁹(15:58)

⁶⁰Kirjathbaal, which is Kirjathjearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:

⁶⁰Juga kedua kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Kota Kiryat-Baal (yaitu Kiryat-Yearim) dan Kota Raba.

⁶¹In the wilderness, Betharabah, Middin, and Secacah,

⁶¹Di daerah padang gurun, ada enam kota berikut ini bersama desa-desa di sekitarnya: Bet-Araba, Midin, Sekhakha, Nibsan, Kota Garam dan En-Gedi.

⁶²And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and Engedi; six cities with their villages.

⁶²(15:61)

⁶³As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.

⁶³Kota Yerusalem termasuk juga milik Yehuda, tetapi orang Yehuda tidak dapat mengusir orang Yebus yang tinggal di situ. Sampai sekarang orang Yebus masih tinggal bersama orang Yehuda di kota itu.
