¹And the LORD spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

¹Di atas Gunung Sinai TUHAN berbicara kepada Musa dan menyuruh dia

²Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.

²menyampaikan peraturan-peraturan ini kepada bangsa Israel. Apabila kamu masuk ke negeri yang akan diberikan TUHAN kepadamu, kamu harus menghormati TUHAN dengan cara ini: Setiap tahun ketujuh kamu tak boleh mengerjakan tanah untuk bercocok tanam.

³Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;

³Selama enam tahun kamu harus menanami ladang-ladangmu, memangkas kebun-kebun anggurmu dan mengumpulkan hasil tanahmu.

⁴But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

⁴Tetapi setiap tahun yang ketujuh dikhususkan untuk TUHAN. Jadi sepanjang tahun itu tanah harus dibiarkan dan tak boleh dikerjakan. Jangan menanami ladang-ladang dan jangan memangkas pohon-pohon anggurmu.

⁵That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.

⁵Bahkan gandum yang tumbuh dengan sendirinya atau anggur dari pohon anggurmu yang tidak dipangkas, tak boleh kamu kumpulkan dan simpan, sebab tahun itu adalah tahun istirahat untuk tanah.

⁶And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee.

⁶Walaupun begitu, tanah itu akan memberi hasil juga untuk dijadikan makanan bagi kamu, budak-budakmu, orang-orang upahanmu, dan orang-orang asing yang tinggal dengan kamu.

⁷And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.

⁷Juga bagi binatang-binatang peliharaanmu dan binatang-binatang liar di negerimu. Segala yang dihasilkan tanah itu boleh dimakan.

⁸And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.

⁸Hitunglah tujuh kali tujuh tahun, sebanyak empat puluh sembilan tahun.

⁹Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

⁹Lalu pada tanggal sepuluh bulan tujuh, yaitu hari pengampunan dosa, suruhlah orang membunyikan trompet di mana-mana di seluruh negeri.

¹⁰And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

¹⁰Kamu harus mengkhususkan tahun yang kelima puluh itu, dan mengumumkan kebebasan kepada seluruh penduduk negeri. Dalam tahun itu segala harta milik yang sudah dijual harus dikembalikan kepada pemiliknya yang semula atau kepada keturunannya. Siapa yang dijual sebagai budak harus dikembalikan kepada keluarganya.

¹¹A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.

¹¹Janganlah menanami ladangmu. Gandum yang tumbuh dengan sendirinya atau buah anggur di kebun anggurmu yang tidak dipangkas tak boleh kamu kumpulkan dan simpan.

¹²For it is the jubilee; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.

¹²Tahun itu merupakan tahun yang suci bagimu. Kamu hanya boleh makan apa yang tumbuh dengan sendirinya di ladangmu.

¹³In the year of this jubilee ye shall return every man unto his possession.

¹³Dalam tahun itu semua tanah yang sudah dijual harus dikembalikan kepada pemiliknya yang semula.

¹⁴And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbor, or buyest ought of thy neighbor's hand, ye shall not oppress one another:

¹⁴Jadi kalau kamu menjual tanah kepada sesamamu orang Israel, atau membeli tanah dari dia, janganlah melakukan jual beli itu dengan tidak jujur.

¹⁵According to the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy of thy neighbor, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:

¹⁵Harga tanah itu harus ditetapkan menurut jumlah tahun selama tanah itu dapat memberi hasil sampai Tahun Pengembalian yang berikut.

¹⁶According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.

¹⁶Kalau jumlah tahunnya banyak, harga tanah itu mahal. Tetapi kalau jumlah tahunnya sedikit, harganya harus murah, karena yang dijual adalah jumlah panen.

¹⁷Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD your God.

¹⁷Janganlah menipu sesamamu orang Israel, tetapi hendaklah kamu takut akan TUHAN, Allahmu.

¹⁸Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

¹⁸Taatilah semua hukum dan perintah TUHAN, supaya kamu hidup dengan aman di negeri itu.

¹⁹And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

¹⁹Tanah negeri itu akan memberi hasilnya sehingga kamu mempunyai makanan yang cukup dan tinggal di sana dengan sejahtera.

²⁰And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:

²⁰Tetapi barangkali ada yang bertanya apa yang akan dimakan selama tahun ketujuh pada waktu tanah tidak ditanami dan hasilnya tidak dipungut.

²¹Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

²¹Dalam tahun keenam TUHAN akan memberkati tanah sehingga hasilnya cukup untuk tiga tahun.

²²And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.

²²Dan pada waktu kamu menanami ladangmu dalam tahun kedelapan, panen dari tahun keenam masih ada untuk kamu makan. Malah persediaan makananmu akan cukup sampai tiba waktunya kamu mengumpulkan hasil tahun itu.

²³The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

²³Tanahmu tidak boleh dijual untuk seterusnya, sebab tanah itu bukan milikmu, melainkan milik Allah. Kamu hanya seperti orang asing yang mendapat izin untuk memakai tanah itu.

²⁴And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.

²⁴Kalau sebidang tanah dijual, harus diakui hak pemiliknya yang semula untuk menebus tanah itu.

²⁵If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.

²⁵Kalau seorang Israel jatuh miskin sehingga ia terpaksa menjual tanahnya, sanak saudaranya yang paling dekat wajib menebus tanah itu.

²⁶And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;

²⁶Kalau tidak ada orang untuk menebusnya tetapi pemilik itu kemudian hari menjadi mampu dan mempunyai cukup uang untuk menebus tanahnya,

²⁷Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.

²⁷maka ia harus membayar kepada orang yang telah membeli tanahnya seharga hasil tanah itu selama tahun-tahun berikutnya sampai Tahun Pengembalian yang akan datang. Dengan demikian ia mendapat kembali tanah miliknya.

²⁸But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubilee: and in the jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.

²⁸Tetapi kalau ia tidak mampu menebus tanahnya, orang yang membelinya tetap berkuasa atas tanah itu sampai Tahun Pengembalian yang berikut. Dalam tahun itu tanah itu harus dikembalikan kepada pemiliknya yang semula.

²⁹And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.

²⁹Apabila seseorang menjual sebuah rumah dalam kota yang dikelilingi tembok, maka ia berhak menebus rumahnya dalam jangka waktu satu tahun terhitung dari tanggal penjualan.

³⁰And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubilee.

³⁰Tetapi kalau rumah itu tidak ditebusnya dalam waktu satu tahun hilanglah haknya untuk menebusnya. Rumah itu tetap milik orang yang membelinya dan keturunannya. Dalam Tahun Pengembalian, rumah itu tidak dikembalikan.

³¹But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubilee.

³¹Untuk rumah di desa yang tidak dikelilingi tembok berlaku peraturan yang sama seperti untuk tanah: pemilik semula berhak menebusnya dan rumah itu harus dikembalikan dalam Tahun Pengembalian.

³²Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.

³²Akan tetapi orang Lewi berhak untuk kapan saja menebus harta milik mereka di kota-kota yang ditetapkan untuk mereka.

³³And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubilee: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

³³Apabila seorang Lewi menjual rumahnya di salah satu kota itu dan ia tidak menebusnya, rumah itu harus dikembalikan kepadanya dalam Tahun Pengembalian. Sebab rumah orang Lewi di kota-kota mereka adalah milik mereka yang tetap di antara bangsa Israel.

³⁴But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

³⁴Tetapi padang rumput di sekitar kota-kota suku Lewi tak boleh dijual. Itu adalah kepunyaan orang Lewi untuk selama-lamanya.

³⁵And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.

³⁵Apabila orang sebangsamu yang tinggal di antara kamu jatuh miskin dan tak dapat membiayai hidupnya kamu harus menyokong dia seperti seorang asing atau pendatang, supaya ia dapat hidup terus di antara kamu.

³⁶Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.

³⁶Janganlah menuntut bunga dari apa yang kamu pinjamkan kepadanya, tetapi hendaklah kamu takut kepada Allahmu, dan biarkan orang itu hidup di antara kamu. Jangan juga mengambil untung dari makanan yang kamu jual kepadanya.

³⁷Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase.

³⁷(25:36)

³⁸I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.

³⁸Itulah perintah TUHAN Allahmu yang telah membawa kamu keluar dari Mesir untuk memberikan negeri Kanaan kepadamu, supaya Ia menjadi Allahmu.

³⁹And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:

³⁹Apabila orang sebangsamu yang tinggal di antara kamu jatuh miskin sehingga ia menjual dirinya sebagai budak kepadamu, orang itu tak boleh kamu suruh melakukan pekerjaan seorang budak.

⁴⁰But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubilee.

⁴⁰Ia harus tinggal padamu sebagai seorang upahan dan bekerja untukmu sampai Tahun Pengembalian.

⁴¹And then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.

⁴¹Pada waktu itu dia dan anak-anaknya boleh meninggalkan rumahmu dan kembali kepada keluarganya dan ke tanah nenek moyangnya.

⁴²For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.

⁴²Orang Israel adalah hamba-hamba TUHAN; Dialah yang membawa mereka keluar dari Mesir, dan karena itu mereka tak boleh dijual sebagai budak.

⁴³Thou shalt not rule over him with rigor; but shalt fear thy God.

⁴³Jadi orang Israel yang menjual dirinya kepadamu tak boleh kamu perlakukan dengan kasar. Hendaklah kamu takut kepada Allahmu.

⁴⁴Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.

⁴⁴Kalau kamu memerlukan budak, kamu boleh membelinya dari bangsa-bangsa yang tinggal di sekitarmu.

⁴⁵Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.

⁴⁵Kamu boleh juga membeli anak-anak orang asing yang menetap di antara kamu. Anak-anak orang asing yang lahir di negerimu boleh menjadi milikmu

⁴⁶And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigor.

⁴⁶dan boleh juga kamu wariskan kepada anak-anakmu untuk menjadi budak mereka seumur hidup. Tetapi sesamamu orang Israel tak boleh kamu perlakukan dengan kasar.

⁴⁷And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger's family:

⁴⁷Apabila seorang asing yang tinggal di tengah-tengahmu menjadi kaya, dan ada sesamamu orang Israel jatuh miskin sehingga ia menjual dirinya sebagai budak kepada orang asing itu atau kepada keluarganya,

⁴⁸After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him:

⁴⁸orang Israel itu tetap mempunyai hak untuk ditebus. Seorang dari saudaranya yang laki-laki,

⁴⁹Either his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be able, he may redeem himself.

⁴⁹atau pamannya, atau saudara sepupunya atau seorang lain dari kerabatnya yang dekat, boleh menebusnya. Atau kalau ia sendiri kemudian mampu, ia boleh menebus dirinya sendiri.

⁵⁰And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubilee: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him.

⁵⁰Budak itu harus berunding dengan orang yang sudah membelinya. Mereka harus menghitung jumlah tahun sejak dirinya dijual sebagai budak sampai Tahun Pengembalian yang berikut, lalu menentukan harga tebusannya. Harga itu harus ditetapkan menurut perhitungan gaji yang diberikan kepada orang upahan.

⁵¹If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

⁵¹Budak itu harus mengembalikan harga pembelian dirinya sebesar jumlah gaji seorang upahan selama tahun-tahun yang belum dijalaninya,

⁵²And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubilee, then he shall count with him, and according unto his years shall he give him again the price of his redemption.

⁵²(25:51)

⁵³And as a yearly hired servant shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule with rigor over him in thy sight.

⁵³seolah-olah ia telah bekerja sebagai orang upahan yang digaji tahunan. Tuannya tidak boleh memperlakukan dia dengan kasar.

⁵⁴And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubilee, both he, and his children with him.

⁵⁴Kalau ia tidak dapat ditebus dengan salah satu cara itu, ia dan anak-anaknya harus dibebaskan dalam Tahun Pengembalian yang berikut.

⁵⁵For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

⁵⁵Seorang Israel tak boleh menjadi budak seumur hidup karena bangsa Israel adalah hamba-hamba TUHAN. Tuhanlah yang membawa mereka keluar dari Mesir. Dialah TUHAN, Allah mereka.
