¹And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

¹TUHAN berkata kepada Musa,

²Speak unto Aaron and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.

²"Katakanlah kepada Harun bahwa pada waktu ia memasang ketujuh lampu pada kaki lampu itu, ia harus memasangnya sedemikian rupa sehingga menyinari bagian depan kaki lampu itu."

³And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.

³Harun melakukan apa yang diperintahkan TUHAN. Ia memasang lampu-lampu itu menghadap bagian depan dari kaki lampu.

⁴And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had showed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

⁴Tempat lampu itu, sampai ke atasnya dan bunga-bunga hiasannya terbuat dari emas tempaan, menurut contoh yang diperlihatkan TUHAN kepada Musa.

⁵And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

⁵TUHAN berkata kepada Musa,

⁶Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

⁶"Pisahkanlah orang-orang Lewi dari orang Israel yang lain dan lakukanlah upacara penyucian untuk mereka

⁷And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

⁷dengan cara ini: percikilah mereka dengan air untuk upacara penyucian dan suruhlah mereka mencukur seluruh badan dan mencuci pakaian mereka. Dengan demikian mereka bersih.

⁸Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.

⁸Lalu suruhlah mereka mengambil seekor sapi jantan muda dengan kurban sajian dari tepung dicampur minyak. Lalu engkau harus mengambil seekor sapi jantan lain untuk kurban pengampunan dosa.

⁹And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:

⁹Kemudian kumpulkanlah seluruh umat Israel dan suruhlah orang Lewi berdiri di depan Kemah-Ku.

¹⁰And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:

¹⁰Umat harus meletakkan tangan mereka di atas kepala orang-orang Lewi,

¹¹And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.

¹¹lalu Harun harus mempersembahkan orang-orang Lewi itu sebagai persembahan khusus dari orang Israel kepada-Ku, supaya mereka dapat melakukan ibadat-Ku.

¹²And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.

¹²Lalu orang Lewi harus meletakkan tangan mereka di atas kepala kedua ekor sapi jantan itu; yang seekor harus dipersembahkan untuk kurban pengampunan dosa, dan yang seekor lagi untuk kurban bakaran. Dengan upacara itu orang Lewi disucikan.

¹³And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.

¹³Khususkanlah orang-orang Lewi untuk-Ku dan suruhlah mereka melayani Harun serta anak-anaknya.

¹⁴Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.

¹⁴Dengan upacara itu kamu memisahkan orang-orang Lewi dari orang Israel yang lain, supaya menjadi milik-Ku.

¹⁵And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.

¹⁵Sesudah engkau melakukan upacara penyerahan orang-orang Lewi itu, mereka berhak untuk bekerja di dalam Kemah-Ku.

¹⁶For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.

¹⁶Aku sudah menjadikan mereka pengganti semua anak laki-laki sulung Israel; jadi mereka adalah khusus untuk Aku.

¹⁷For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.

¹⁷Ketika Aku membunuh semua anak sulung di Mesir, anak laki-laki sulung dari setiap keluarga Israel dan setiap binatang yang lahir pertama sudah Kujadikan milik-Ku yang khusus.

¹⁸And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.

¹⁸Sekarang sebagai ganti semua anak sulung Israel, Kuambil orang-orang Lewi,

¹⁹And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.

¹⁹dan orang-orang Lewi itu Kuserahkan kepada Harun dan anak-anaknya, supaya dapat bertugas untuk orang Israel di dalam Kemah-Ku. Juga supaya mereka meminta pengampunan-Ku untuk bangsa Israel agar bangsa itu tidak ditimpa bencana jika mereka datang terlalu dekat ke tempat yang suci itu."

²⁰And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.

²⁰Oleh karena itu Musa, Harun dan seluruh umat Israel mempersembahkan orang Lewi kepada TUHAN, seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa.

²¹And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.

²¹Orang-orang Lewi itu melakukan upacara penyucian diri dan mencuci pakaian mereka, lalu Harun mempersembahkan mereka sebagai pemberian khusus kepada TUHAN. Ia melakukan juga upacara penyucian bagi mereka.

²²And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.

²²Orang Israel melakukan segala yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa mengenai orang Lewi. Dengan demikian orang Lewi mendapat hak untuk bekerja di dalam Kemah TUHAN di bawah pimpinan Harun dan anak-anaknya.

²³And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

²³TUHAN berkata kepada Musa,

²⁴This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:

²⁴"Setiap orang Lewi yang berumur dua puluh lima tahun ke atas, harus melakukan tugasnya di dalam Kemah-Ku,

²⁵And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:

²⁵dan pada umur lima puluh tahun ia dibebaskan dari tugasnya.

²⁶But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.

²⁶Sesudah itu ia boleh membantu orang Lewi lain yang bertugas di dalam Kemah-Ku, tetapi ia tidak lagi mempunyai tugas tetap. Begitulah caranya mengatur pekerjaan orang-orang Lewi."
