¹Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

¹Untuk pemimpin kor. Mazmur Daud. (41-2) Berbahagialah orang yang memperhatikan orang yang lemah; TUHAN akan menolong dia di waktu kesesakan.

²The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

²(41-3) TUHAN akan melindungi dan memelihara dia, Ia akan membahagiakannya di bumi, dan tidak menyerahkan dia ke tangan musuhnya.

³The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

³(41-4) TUHAN akan menolong dia pada waktu sakit, dan memulihkan kesehatannya.

⁴I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

⁴(41-5) Kataku, "Aku telah berdosa terhadap-Mu, ya TUHAN, kasihanilah aku dan sembuhkanlah aku."

⁵Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

⁵(41-6) Musuhku mengatakan yang jahat tentang aku, mereka ingin agar aku mati dan dilupakan.

⁶And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

⁶(41-7) Orang-orang yang menjenguk aku tidak tulus ikhlas. Mereka mengumpulkan kabar buruk tentang aku, lalu menyiarkannya ke mana-mana.

⁷All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

⁷(41-8) Semua yang membenci aku berbisik-bisik; mereka mengatakan yang paling jelek tentang aku.

⁸An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

⁸(41-9) Kata mereka, "Penyakitnya parah sekali, ia tak mungkin bangun lagi."

⁹Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

⁹(41-10) Bahkan kawan karib yang paling kupercayai, orang yang makan bersamaku, telah menghina aku.

¹⁰But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

¹⁰(41-11) Kasihanilah aku ya TUHAN, sembuhkanlah aku, agar aku dapat membalas kejahatan lawan-lawanku.

¹¹By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

¹¹(41-12) Kalau aku tidak dikalahkan musuhku, tahulah aku bahwa Engkau berkenan kepadaku.

¹²And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

¹²(41-13) Engkau menolong aku karena ketulusanku, dan membuat aku hidup bersama-Mu untuk selamanya.

¹³Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

¹³(41-14) Pujilah TUHAN, Allah Israel! Pujilah Dia sekarang dan selama-lamanya! Jadilah demikian. Amin!
