1Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
1Untuk pemimpin kor. Mazmur Daud. (68-2) Allah bangkit menceraiberaikan musuh-Nya, orang yang membenci Dia lari dari hadapan-Nya.
2As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
2(68-3) Allah mengusir mereka pergi, seperti asap yang ditiup dan menghilang. Seperti lilin meleleh di dalam api, begitulah orang jahat lenyap dari hadapan Allah.
3But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
3(68-4) Tetapi orang saleh bersukacita dan riang gembira, mereka bersorak-sorak kesukaan di hadapan Allah.
4Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.
4(68-5) Bernyanyilah bagi Allah, pujilah nama-Nya, siapkanlah jalan raya bagi Dia yang mengendarai awan. Nama-Nya TUHAN--bersenang-senangla di hadapan-Nya!
5A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
5(68-6) Allah yang tinggal di Rumah-Nya yang suci adalah bapak anak yatim dan pembela para janda.
6God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
6(68-7) Allah memberi tempat tinggal kepada orang yang kesepian; Ia membebaskan orang tahanan sehingga mereka bahagia. Tetapi orang-orang yang melawan TUHAN harus tinggal di tanah yang gersang.
7O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:
7(68-8) Ya Allah, ketika Engkau membimbing umat-Mu berjalan melewati padang yang kering,
8The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
8(68-9) bumi bergetar, hujan tercurah di hadapan-Mu, karena kedatangan Allah Sinai, Allah Israel.
9Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
9(68-10) Dengan limpah Engkau menurunkan hujan, dan memulihkan tanah-Mu yang gersang.
10Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
10(68-11) Lalu umat-Mu berdiam di sana; dalam kebaikan-Mu, ya Allah, Engkau memelihara orang miskin.
11The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.
11(68-12) TUHAN memberi perintah, lalu para wanita membawa berita:
12Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.
12(68-13) "Raja-raja dan pasukannya sudah lari!" Mereka lari seperti merpati yang terbang pergi. Para wanita di rumah membagi-bagikan, perak dan emas yang ditinggalkan. Sekalipun banyak yang tidak ikut berperang, umat Allah telah memperoleh kemenangan.
13Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.
13(68:12)
14When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.
14(68-15) Ketika Yang Mahakuasa menyerakkan raja-raja di sana, turunlah salju dari Gunung Salmon.
15The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.
15(68-16) Gunung Basan adalah gunung yang hebat, gunung yang berpuncak banyak.
16Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.
16(68-17) Mengapa dari puncakmu yang banyak itu engkau memandang dengan cemburu kepada Bukit Sion yang dipilih Allah untuk kediaman-Nya? TUHAN akan tinggal di sana untuk selama-lamanya.
17The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
17(68-18) Dengan puluhan ribu kereta kuat Allah tampil di antara mereka dalam keagungan-Nya.
18Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.
18(68-19) TUHAN naik ke tempat yang tinggi; banyak tawanan dibawa-Nya serta. Ia menerima persembahan dari antara manusia bahkan dari antara kaum pemberontak; supaya mereka berdiam bersama TUHAN Allah.
19Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
19(68-20) Pujilah TUHAN, sebab Dialah Allah yang menyelamatkan kita; dari hari ke hari Ia memikul beban kita.
20He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.
20(68-21) Allah kita adalah TUHAN yang menyelamatkan, Ia membebaskan kita dari kematian.
21But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.
21(68-22) Allah pasti akan meremukkan kepala musuh-Nya, orang-orang yang terus hidup dalam dosa.
22The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:
22(68-23) Kata TUHAN, "Hai umat-Ku, Kubawa musuhmu dari Basan Kubawa mereka kembali dari dasar lautan,
23That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.
23(68-24) supaya kamu membasuh kakimu dengan darah mereka, dan anjing-anjingmu menjilatnya sepuas-puasnya."
24They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.
24(68-25) Semua melihat pawai kemenangan-Mu, ya Allah, Allahku, Rajaku, diarak ke tempat kediaman-Nya.
25The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.
25(68-26) Di depan berjalan para penyanyi, di belakang para pemain kecapi; di tengah para gadis pemukul rebana; beginilah nyanyian mereka:
26Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.
26(68-27) "Pujilah Allah di tengah himpunan umat-Nya, pujilah TUHAN, hai semua keturunan Yakub!"
27There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
27(68-28) Benyamin, suku yang paling kecil, berjalan di depan, lalu berbondong-bondong para pemuka Yehuda di belakangnya para pemuka Zebulon dan Naftali.
28Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
28(68-29) Allahmu menuntut kekuatanmu; ya Allah, teguhkanlah apa yang telah Kaulakukan bagi kami.
29Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.
29(68-30) Raja-raja membawa persembahan kepada-Mu di Rumah-Mu di Yerusalem.
30Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.
30(68-31) Hardiklah Mesir, binatang buas itu di tengah gelagah. Tegurlah bangsa-bangsa, kawanan banteng itu dengan anak-anaknya, yang saling menginjak-injak untuk mendapat perak. Allah menceraiberaikan bangsa-bangsa yang suka berperang.
31Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.
31(68-32) Pembesar-pembesar Mesir datang membawa tembaga; orang Sudan bergegas-gegas membawa upeti kepada Allah.
32Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:
32(68-33) Bernyanyilah bagi Allah, hai semua kerajaan, nyanyikanlah puji-pujian bagi TUHAN,
33To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.
33(68-34) bagi dia yang melintasi angkasa purbakala. Dengar! TUHAN berbicara, suara-Nya menggelegar dengan dahsyat.
34Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
34(68-35) Akuilah kuasa Allah yang berdaulat atas Israel, kuasa-Nya sampai di langit.
35O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.
35(68-36) Sungguh mengagumkan Allah kita waktu Ia keluar dari tempat kediaman-Nya. Allah Israel memberi kuasa dan kekuatan kepada umat-Nya. Terpujilah Allah!
