1I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

2For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
2(89-3) Sebab aku tahu kasih-Mu kekal abadi, kesetiaan-Mu teguh seperti langit.
3I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
3(89-4) Engkau berkata, "Aku sudah membuat perjanjian dengan orang pilihan-Ku; Aku telah bersumpah kepada Daud, hamba-Ku:
4Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
4(89-5) 'Takhtamu Kupertahankan untuk selama-lamanya, turun-temurun anak cucumu akan mendudukinya.'"
5And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
5(89-6) Sidang surgawi memuji perbuatan-perbuatan-Mu yang ajaib, dan menyanyikan kesetiaan-Mu, TUHAN.
6For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
6(89-7) Di langit tak ada yang seperti Engkau, ya TUHAN, tak ada makhluk surgawi yang menyamai Engkau.
7God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
7(89-8) Engkau dihormati di kalangan para suci, ditakuti lebih dari semua di sekeliling-Mu.
8O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
8(89-9) TUHAN, Allah Yang Mahakuasa, siapakah sekuat Engkau? Engkau setia dalam segala-galanya ya TUHAN.
9Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
9(89-10) Engkau menguasai laut yang bergelora, dan meredakan ombaknya yang dahsyat.
10Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
10(89-11) Rahab, naga laut, Kauremukkan dan Kaubunuh, dengan tangan kuat Kaukalahkan musuh-musuh-Mu.
11The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
11(89-12) Langit dan bumi adalah milik-Mu, dunia dan segala isinya ciptaan-Mu.
12The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
12(89-13) Engkaulah yang menjadikan utara dan selatan, Gunung Tabor dan Hermon bersorak-sorai bagi-Mu.
13Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
13(89-14) Betapa besar kuasa-Mu, dan betapa hebat kekuatan-Mu!
14Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
14(89-15) Keadilan dan hukum adalah dasar kerajaan-Mu, kasih dan kesetiaan nyata dalam segala tindakan-Mu.
15Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
15(89-16) Berbahagialah bangsa yang beribadat dengan gembira, yang hidup dalam cahaya kehadiran-Mu, TUHAN.
16In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
16(89-17) Sepanjang hari mereka bersukacita dan tetap teguh, karena kebaikan-Mu.
17For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
17(89-18) Engkau memberi kami kemenangan yang gilang-gemilang, karena kebaikan-Mulah kami menang.
18For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
18(89-19) Sebab pelindung kami adalah orang pilihan-Mu, ya TUHAN; raja kami adalah milik Allah Kudus Israel.
19Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
19(89-20) Dahulu kala dalam suatu penglihatan, Engkau berkata kepada hamba-Mu yang setia, "Aku telah menolong seorang pahlawan, seorang yang Kupilih dari rakyat telah Kutinggikan.
20I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
20(89-21) Aku telah menemukan Daud, hamba-Ku, dan Kulantik dia dengan minyak upacara.
21With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
21(89-22) Kekuatan-Ku akan selalu melindunginya, kuasa-Ku akan menguatkan dia.
22The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
22(89-23) Ia tak akan dikalahkan musuh, dan tak akan ditindas orang jahat.
23And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
23(89-24) Semua musuhnya akan Kubinasakan, Kubunuh siapa saja yang membenci dia.
24But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
24(89-25) Aku akan tetap mengasihi dia dan setia kepadanya, dan membuat dia semakin berkuasa.
25I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
25(89-26) Kerajaannya akan Kuluaskan, dari Laut Tengah sampai ke Sungai Efrat.
26He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
26(89-27) Ia akan berkata kepada-Ku, 'Engkaulah Bapaku, Allahku, pelindung dan penyelamatku.'
27Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
27(89-28) Aku akan menjadikan dia putra-Ku yang sulung, yang paling agung di antara semua raja.
28My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
28(89-29) Dia akan tetap Kukasihi sampai kekal, perjanjian-Ku dengan dia tetap teguh.
29His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
29(89-30) Takhtanya Kupertahankan selama langit ada di atas bumi, turun-temurun anak cucunya akan mendudukinya.
30If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
30(89-31) Tetapi kalau keturunannya melanggar hukum-Ku, dan tidak hidup menurut perintah-Ku,
31If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
31(89-32) kalau mereka tidak mengindahkan ketetapan-Ku dan mengabaikan peraturan-Ku,
32Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
32(89-33) mereka Kuhukum dengan cambuk karena pelanggarannya, dan Kutimpa dengan bencana karena dosa-dosanya.
33Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
33(89-34) Tetapi Aku akan tetap mengasihi Daud, dan tak akan mengingkari kesetiaan-Ku.
34My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
34(89-35) Perjanjian-Ku dengan dia takkan Kubatalkan, dari janji-Ku tak satu pun Kutarik kembali.
35Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
35(89-36) Sekali untuk selamanya Aku bersumpah demi nama-Ku yang suci; Aku tak akan berbohong kepada Daud.
36His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
36(89-37) Takhtanya akan bertahan selama matahari ada, turun-temurun anak cucunya akan mendudukinya.
37It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
37(89-38) Kerajaannya tetap ada seperti bulan, saksi setia di awan-awan."
38But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
38(89-39) Tetapi sekarang Engkau marah kepada raja, Engkau membuang dan menolak orang pilihan-Mu.
39Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
39(89-40) Kaubatalkan perjanjian-Mu dengan hamba-Mu, mahkotanya Kaulemparkan ke dalam lumpur.
40Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
40(89-41) Kaurobohkan tembok-tembok kotanya, benteng-benteng Kaujadikan reruntuhan.
41All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
41(89-42) Semua orang yang lewat merampas miliknya, ia menjadi bahan ejekan bagi tetangganya.
42Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
42(89-43) Engkau memberi kemenangan kepada musuh-musuhnya, dan membuat semua lawannya bergembira.
43Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
43(89-44) Bahkan senjatanya Kaujadikan tak berguna, Engkau tidak menolong dia dalam perang.
44Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
44(89-45) Kauakhiri kuasanya yang semarak, takhtanya Kaucampakkan ke tanah.
45The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
45(89-46) Engkau memperpendek masa mudanya, dan menutupi dia dengan malu.
46How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
46(89-47) Sampai kapan Engkau bersembunyi, ya TUHAN? Sampai kapan kemarahan-Mu berkobar seperti api?
47Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
47(89-48) Ingatlah aku betapa singkatnya hidupku ini, Kauciptakan manusia sebagai makhluk yang fana.
48What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
48(89-49) Siapakah yang dapat hidup terus dan tidak mati? Siapakah yang dapat luput dari kuburan?
49Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
49(89-50) Ya TUHAN, di manakah tanda kasih-Mu yang semula, yang Kaujanjikan kepada Daud demi kesetiaan-Mu?
50Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;
50(89-51) Ingatlah ya TUHAN, bagaimana hamba-Mu ini dicela, aku menanggung penghinaan banyak bangsa.
51Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
51(89-52) Musuh-musuh-Mu menghina raja pilihan-Mu, ya TUHAN, mengejek dia ke mana saja ia pergi.
52Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
52(89-53) Pujilah TUHAN untuk selama-lamanya. Jadilah demikian! Amin!
