¹And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

¹主はまたモーセに言われた、

²Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.

²「イスラエルの人々に言いなさい、『女がもし身ごもって男の子を産めば、七日のあいだ汚れる。すなわち、月のさわりの日かずほど汚れるであろう。

³And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

³八日目にはその子の前の皮に割礼を施さなければならない。

⁴And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.

⁴その女はなお、血の清めに三十三日を経なければならない。その清めの日の満ちるまでは、聖なる物に触れてはならない。また聖なる所にはいってはならない。

⁵But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.

⁵もし女の子を産めば、二週間、月のさわりと同じように汚れる。その女はなお、血の清めに六十六日を経なければならない。

⁶And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:

⁶男の子または女の子についての清めの日が満ちるとき、女は燔祭のために一歳の小羊、罪祭のために家ばとのひな、あるいは山ばとを、会見の幕屋の入口の、祭司のもとに、携えてこなければならない。

⁷Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.

⁷祭司はこれを主の前にささげて、その女のために、あがないをしなければならない。こうして女はその出血の汚れが清まるであろう。これは男の子または女の子を産んだ女のためのおきてである。もしその女が小羊に手の届かないときは、山ばと二羽か、家ばとのひな二羽かを取って、一つを燔祭、一つを罪祭とし、祭司はその女のために、あがないをしなければならない。こうして女は清まるであろう』」。

⁸And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.

⁸もしその女が小羊に手の届かないときは、山ばと二羽か、家ばとのひな二羽かを取って、一つを燔祭、一つを罪祭とし、祭司はその女のために、あがないをしなければならない。こうして女は清まるであろう』」。
