¹O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

¹主に感謝し、そのみ名を呼び、そのみわざをもろもろの民のなかに知らせよ。

²Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

²主にむかって歌え、主をほめうたえ、そのすべてのくすしきみわざを語れ。

³Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

³その聖なるみ名を誇れ。主を尋ね求める者の心を喜ばせよ。

⁴Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

⁴主とそのみ力とを求めよ、つねにそのみ顔を尋ねよ。

⁵Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

⁵そのしもべアブラハムの子孫よ、その選ばれた者であるヤコブの子らよ、主のなされたくすしきみわざと、その奇跡と、そのみ口のさばきとを心にとめよ。

⁶O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

⁶彼はわれらの神、主でいらせられる。そのさばきは全地にある。

⁷He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

⁷主はとこしえに、その契約をみこころにとめられる。これはよろず代に命じられたみ言葉であって、

⁸He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

⁸アブラハムと結ばれた契約、イサクに誓われた約束である。

⁹Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

⁹主はこれを堅く立てて、ヤコブのために定めとし、イスラエルのために、とこしえの契約として

¹⁰And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

¹⁰言われた、「わたしはあなたにカナンの地を与えて、あなたがたの受ける嗣業の分け前とする」と。

¹¹Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

¹¹このとき彼らの数は少なくて、数えるに足らず、その所で旅びととなり、

¹²When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

¹²この国からかの国へ行き、この国から他の民へ行った。

¹³When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

¹³主は人の彼らをしえたげるのをゆるさず、彼らのために王たちを懲しめて、

¹⁴He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

¹⁴言われた、「わが油そそがれた者たちにさわってはならない、わが預言者たちに害を加えてはならない」と。

¹⁵Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

¹⁵主はききんを地に招き、人のつえとするパンをことごとく砕かれた。

¹⁶Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

¹⁶また彼らの前にひとりをつかわされた。すなわち売られて奴隷となったヨセフである。

¹⁷He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

¹⁷彼の足は足かせをもって痛められ、彼の首は鉄の首輪にはめられ、

¹⁸Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

¹⁸彼の言葉の成る時まで、主のみ言葉が彼を試みた。

¹⁹Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

¹⁹王は人をつかわして彼を解き放ち、民のつかさは彼に自由を与えた。

²⁰The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

²⁰王はその家のつかさとしてその所有をことごとくつかさどらせ、

²¹He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

²¹その心のままに君たちを教えさせ、長老たちに知恵を授けさせた。

²²To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

²²その時イスラエルはエジプトにきたり、ヤコブはハムの地に寄留した。

²³Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

²³主はその民を大いに増し加え、これをそのあだよりも強くされた。

²⁴And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

²⁴主は人々の心をかえて、その民を憎ませ、そのしもべたちを悪賢く扱わせられた。

²⁵He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

²⁵主はそのしもべモーセと、そのお選びになったアロンとをつかわされた。

²⁶He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.

²⁶彼らはハムの地で主のしるしと、奇跡とを彼らのうちにおこなった。

²⁷They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

²⁷主は暗やみをつかわして地を暗くされた。しかし彼らはそのみ言葉に従わなかった。

²⁸He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

²⁸主は彼らの水を血に変らせて、その魚を殺された。

²⁹He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

²⁹彼らの国には、かえるが群がり、王の寝間にまではいった。

³⁰Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

³⁰主が言われると、はえの群れがきたり、ぶよが国じゅうにあった。

³¹He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

³¹主は雨にかえて、ひょうを彼らに与え、きらめくいなずまを彼らの国に放たれた。

³²He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.

³²主は彼らのぶどうの木と、いちじくの木とを撃ち、彼らの国のもろもろの木を折り砕かれた。

³³He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

³³主が言われると、いなごがきたり、無数の若いいなごが来て、

³⁴He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

³⁴彼らの国のすべての青物を食いつくし、その地の実を食いつくした。

³⁵And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

³⁵主は彼らの国のすべてのういごを撃ち、彼らのすべての力の初めを撃たれた。

³⁶He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

³⁶そして金銀を携えてイスラエルを出て行かせられた。その部族のうちに、ひとりの倒れる者もなかった。

³⁷He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

³⁷エジプトは彼らの去るのを喜んだ。彼らに対する恐れが彼らに臨んだからである。

³⁸Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

³⁸主は雲をひろげておおいとし、夜は火をもって照された。

³⁹He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

³⁹また彼らの求めによって、うずらを飛びきたらせ、天から、かてを豊かに彼らに与えられた。

⁴⁰The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

⁴⁰主が岩を開かれると、水がほとばしり出て、かわいた地に川のように流れた。

⁴¹He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

⁴¹これは主がその聖なる約束と、そのしもべアブラハムを覚えられたからである。

⁴²For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

⁴²こうして主はその民を導いて喜びつつ出て行かせ、その選ばれた民を導いて歌いつつ出て行かせられた。

⁴³And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

⁴³主はもろもろの国びとの地を彼らに与えられたので、彼らはもろもろの民の勤労の実を自分のものとした。これは彼らが主の定めを守り、そのおきてを行うためである。主をほめたたえよ。

⁴⁴And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

⁴⁴これは彼らが主の定めを守り、そのおきてを行うためである。主をほめたたえよ。

⁴⁵That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
