¹Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

¹主よ、わたしはあなたにむかって呼ばわります。わが岩よ、わたしにむかって耳しいとならないでください。もしあなたが黙っておられるならば、おそらく、わたしは墓に下る者と等しくなるでしょう。

²Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

²わたしがあなたにむかって助けを求め、あなたの至聖所にむかって手をあげるとき、わたしの願いの声を聞いてください。

³Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

³悪しき者および悪を行う者らと共にわたしを引き行かないでください。彼らはその隣り人とむつまじく語るけれども、その心には害悪をいだく者です。

⁴Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

⁴どうぞ、そのわざにしたがい、その悪しき行いにしたがって彼らに報い、その手のわざにしたがって彼らに報い、その受くべき罰を彼らに与えてください。

⁵Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

⁵彼らは主のもろもろのみわざと、み手のわざとを顧みないゆえに、主は彼らを倒して、再び建てられることはない。

⁶Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

⁶主はほむべきかな。主はわたしの願いの声を聞かれた。

⁷The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

⁷主はわが力、わが盾。わたしの心は主に寄り頼む。わたしは助けを得たので、わたしの心は大いに喜び、歌をもって主をほめたたえる。

⁸The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

⁸主はその民の力、その油そそがれた者の救のとりでである。どうぞ、あなたの民を救い、あなたの嗣業を恵み、彼らの牧者となって、とこしえに彼らをいだき導いてください。

⁹Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
