¹When the LORD thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the LORD thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;

²Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.

²lâex têsicß ru chokß êre oxib li tenamit li cuanqueb saß li naßajej li tixqßue êre li Kâcuaß.

³Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither.

³Têyîb li be li tâxic saß eb li tenamit aßin. Ut têjach saß oxib jachal li naßajej li tixqßue êre li Kâcuaß. Ut cui junak tixcamsi li ras rîtzßin chi incßaß yal xraj xchßôl nak tixcamsi, li jun aßan târûk tâxic saß junak reheb li oxib chi tenamit aßin re tixcol rib.

⁴And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbor ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;

⁴Li ani tixcamsi li ras rîtzßin chi incßaß yal xraj xchßôl nak tixcamsi, ut cui incßaß xicß naril, naru tâxic saß li tenamit re tixcol rib.

⁵As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbor to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbor, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:

⁵Mâre junak cuînk tâxic chixyocßbal xsiß, saß qßuicheß ut nak tâoc chi yocßoc, tâtobekß lix mâl ut tixyocß li rochben ut tâcâmk. Li cuînk aßan li xcamsin re chi incßaß yal xraj xchßôl naru tâxic saß jun reheb li oxib chi tenamit aßin re tixcol chak rib.

⁶Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.

⁶Cui kßaxal najt cuan li tenamit, mâre incßaß târûk tâcuulak saß li tenamit re tixcol rib. Li rechßalal li camenak naru toxtau saß be ut xban xjoskßil tixcamsi chokß rêkaj li camenak, usta li cuînk aßan incßaß tenebanbil câmc saß xbên xban nak incßaß yal xraj xchßôl nak xcamsi li rochben.

⁷Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.

⁷Joßcan nak lâin ninye êre nak têsicß ruheb li oxib chi tenamit aßin.

⁸And if the LORD thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers;

⁸Ut li Kâcuaß lê Dios tixnimobresi lê naßaj joß quixyechißi riqßuin juramento reheb lê xeßtônil yucuaß, ut tixqßue êre li naßajej joß quixye.

⁹If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:

⁹Cherahak li Kâcuaß lê Dios ut têbânu li cßaßru naxye saß lix chakßrab. Junelic chexcuânk joß naraj aßan ut li Kâcuaß tixnimobresi lê naßaj. Tojoßnak lâex têsicß ru oxib chic li tenamit bar târûk teßxcol cuiß ribeb li cristian li nequeßxcamsi ras rîtzßin chi incßaß yal xraj xchßôl.

¹⁰That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

¹⁰Chesicß ruheb li tenamit aßin re nak incßaß teßcamsîk saß lê naßaj li ani mâcßaß xmâc. Chebânu aßan re nak incßaß texmâcobk riqßuin xcamsinquil li ani mâcßaß xmâc saß li naßajej li tixqßue êre li Kâcuaß lê Dios.

¹¹But if any man hate his neighbor, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:

¹¹Abanan mâre junak cuînk xicß târil li ras rîtzßin ut tixcßûb ru chanru nak tixcamsi. Ut nak tixcamsi li ras rîtzßin tâêlelik ut tâxic saß junak reheb li tenamit aßin re xcolbal rib.

¹²Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.

¹²Eb li nequeßcßamoc be saß li tenamit li qui-el cuiß li cuînk teßxtakla xcßambal ut teßxkßaxtesi saß rukß li rechßalal li camenak re tixcamsi.

¹³Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.

¹³Incßaß têril xtokßobâl ru li ani namâcob riqßuin xcamsinquil ras rîtzßin. Tento nak têrisi li mâc saß lê naßaj re nak us tex-êlk.

¹⁴Thou shalt not remove thy neighbor's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.

¹⁴Ut incßaß naru têjal li nubâl re lix chßochß lê ras êrîtzßin li quixakabâc junxil saß li naßajej li tixqßue êre li Kâcuaß lê Dios re texcuânk cuiß.

¹⁵One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

¹⁶If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong;

¹⁶Cui junak cristian tâxic chixyebal ticßtiß chirix li ras rîtzßin,

¹⁷Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days;

¹⁷tento nak li cuib chi cristian li yôqueb chi pletic teßxic chiru li Kâcuaß ut chiruheb laj tij ut chiruheb ajcuiß laj rakol âtin li cuanqueb saß xcuanquil.

¹⁸And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother;

¹⁸Ut laj rakol âtin teßxtzßil rix chi us li chßaßajquilal. Cui nacßutun nak li jun quixye ticßtiß chirix ras rîtzßin,

¹⁹Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.

²⁰And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you.

²⁰Ut chixjunileb li tenamit teßrabi resil li quicßulman ut teßxucuak. Ut incßaß chic tâbânumânk li mâusilal aßan saß êyânk.Incßaß têril xtokßobâl ruheb li nequeßxbânu li mâusilal. Cui junak tixcamsi ras rîtzßin, tâcamsîk ajcuiß aßan. Cui junak târisi xnakß ru li ras rîtzßin, tâisîk ajcuiß xnakß ru aßan; cui junak târisi ruch re li ras rîtzßin, tâisîk ajcuiß ruch re aßan; cui junak târisi li rukß li ras rîtzßin, tâisîk ajcuiß li rukß aßan; cui junak târisi li rok li ras rîtzßin, tâisîk ajcuiß li rok aßan.

²¹And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
