Deuteronomy

29

1These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
1Aßan aßin li contrato li quixye li Dios re laj Moisés re tixbânu riqßuineb laj Israel nak cuanqueb saß li naßajej Moab. Aßan aßin lix comon li contrato li quixbânu li Dios riqßuineb saß li tzûl Horeb.
2And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
2Laj Moisés quixchßutubeb chixjunileb laj Israel ut quixye reheb: —Lâex queril li cßaßru quixbânu li Kâcuaß re laj faraón lix reyeb laj Egipto ut reheb chixjunileb li nequeßtenkßan reheb joß eb ajcuiß chixjunileb li tenamit.
3The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
3Lâex queril chixjunil li raylal, li milagro ut li sachba chßôlej li quixbânu li Kâcuaß.
4Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
4Ut toj chalen anakcuan li Dios incßaß xexqßue chixtaubal ru li cßaßru xeril ut li cßaßru xerabi.
5And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.
5Chiru caßcßâl chihab nak lâin xincßamoc be chêru saß li chaki chßochß, incßaß x-osoß lê rakß chi moco lê xâb li cuan chêrok.
6Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.
6Quimâcßaßoß lê caxlan cua ut lê vino. Ut quimâcßaßoß ajcuiß lê rucßa li nachßamoß. Abanan li Kâcuaß quixqßue êre re nak tênau nak aßan li Kâcuaß lê Dios.
7And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them:
7Ut nak xocßulun saß li naßajej aßin, laj Sehón lix reyeb laj Hesbón ut laj Og lix reyeb laj Basán queßchal chi pletic kiqßuin. Abanan lâo xonumta saß xbêneb.
8And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.
8Lâo xkêchani lix naßajeb ut xkajeqßui reheb li ralal xcßajol laj Rubén, ut reheb li ralal xcßajol laj Gad, ut reheb ajcuiß yi jach li ralal xcßajol laj Manasés.
9Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.
9Chebânu chi tzßakal re ru chixjunil li naxye saß li contrato aßin re nak us tex-êlk riqßuin li cßaßru têbânu.
10Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
10Anakcuan xakxôquex arin chiru li Kâcuaß lê Dios. Cuanquex chêjunilex joß eb ajcuiß li nequeßcßamoc be chêru ut eb li nequeßtaklan saß êbên. Cuanqueb chixjunileb li cuînk.
11Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:
11Ut cuanqueb li ixk ut eb li cocßal joß eb ajcuiß li jalan xtenamiteb li cuanqueb saß êyânk, li nequeßyocßoc re lê siß ut nequeßbelan re lê haß.
12That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:
12Cuanquex arin anakcuan re nak têbânu li contrato riqßuin li Kâcuaß lê Dios. Riqßuin juramento tixbânu li contrato li Kâcuaß,
13That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
13re nak texxakab chokß ralal xcßajol. Lâexak lix tenamit ut aßanak lê Dios joß quixyechißi riqßuin juramento reheb lê xeßtônil yucuaß, laj Abraham, laj Isaac, ut laj Jacob.
14Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
14Mâcuaß caßaj cuiß êriqßuin lâex aj Israel li xakxôquex arin tixbânu li contrato riqßuin juramento li Kâcuaß.
15But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:
15Xakxo aj ban cuiß lix cuanquil chiru chixjunileb lê ralal êcßajol li teßcuânk mokon.
16(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
16Lâex joltic êre chanru lê yußam nak quexcuan Egipto ut cßaßru xecßul nak yôquex chak chi numecß saß lix naßajeb li jalaneb xtenamit.
17And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
17Lâex xerileb lix jalanil dios li yîbanbil riqßuin cheß, pec, plata ut oro, li xicß naril li Dios.
18Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
18Cheqßue retal nak mâ jun saß êyânk tixtzßektâna li Kâcuaß lê Dios re tixlokßoniheb lix jalanil dios li jalaneb xtenamit. Mâ jun taxak saß êyânk tixbânu aßan, chi moco li cuînk, chi moco li ixk, chi moco jun cabalak, chi moco jun xtêpaleb. Incßaß têbânu chi joßcan re nak mâcuaßakex joß li cßahil kßên li nacamsin.
19And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
19Cui cuan junak saß kayânk târabi chixjunil li tenebanbil saß kabên ut incßaß tixqßue xcuanquil ut tixcßoxla “us tinêlk usta tinbânu li cßaßru nacuaj injunes” chaßak, xban li jun aßan tâsachekß êru chêjunilex, li châbil xnaßleb joß ajcuiß li incßaß us xnaßleb.
20The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
20Li Kâcuaß incßaß tixcuy xmâc li ani tixbânu chi joßcan. Tâjoskßokß ban riqßuin ut tixtakla saß xbên chixjunil li raylal li tzßîbanbil retalil saß li hu aßin toj retal tâsachekß ru ut incßaß tâcuânk ralal xcßajol.
21And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:
21Li Kâcuaß târisi li cuînk aßan saß êyânk lâex aj Israel ut tixtakla li raylal saß xbên joß naxye saß lix contrato li Dios, li tzßîbanbil saß li hu aßin.
22So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;
22Eb lê ralal êcßajol li teßcuânk mokon ut eb li jalan xtenamiteb li teßchâlk chi najt teßril li raylal li têcßul nak li Kâcuaß tixsach ru lê naßaj.
23And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
23Mâcßaß chic tâêlk saß eb lê cßalebâl. Junes azufre ut atzßam tâcuânk saß lê chßochß. Incßaß tâêlk li acuîmk chi moco li rax pim. Lê naßaj chanchanak chic li tenamit Sodoma ut Gomorra ut eb li tenamit Adma ut Zeboim, li queßsacheß xban li Kâcuaß nak yô xjoskßil saß xbêneb.
24Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
24Ut chixjunileb li cuanqueb saß li xnînkal ru tenamit teßxye: ¿Cßaßut nak quixbânu li Kâcuaß chi joßcan re lix naßajeb laj Israel? ¿Cßaßru xyâlal nak quinumta lix joskßil saß xbêneb?
25Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:
25Ut tâyehekß reheb, “Quixbânu chi joßcan li Kâcuaß xban nak queßxkßet li contrato li queßxbânu riqßuin li Kâcuaß lix Dioseb lix xeßtônil yucuaßeb nak li Dios qui-isin chak reheb saß li naßajej Egipto.
26For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
26Queßxlokßoniheb li jalanil dios li mâ jun sut queßxlokßoni junxil. Queßxcuikßib ribeb chiruheb li jalanil dios usta mâcßaß quiqßueheß reheb xbaneb.
27And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
27Joßcan nak quichal xjoskßil li Kâcuaß saß xbêneb lix tenamit ut quixqßue saß lix naßajeb chixjunil li raylal li tzßîbanbil retalil saß li hu aßin.
28And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
28Xban nak quinumta xjoskßil li Kâcuaß saß xbêneb, joßcan nak li Kâcuaß quirisiheb saß li naßajej aßin. Xban xjoskßil quixtaklaheb saß jalan naßajej li cuanqueb cuiß toj chalen anakcuan,” chußuxk reheb.Cuan li naßleb li incßaß quixcßutbesi chiku li Kâcuaß xban nak aßan re li Kâcuaß li kaDios. Abanan li cßaßru quixcßutbesi chiku, aßan ke lâo ut reheb li kalal kacßajol li teßcuânk mokon re nak takabânu li cßaßru naxye saß li chakßrab aßin.
29The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
29Cuan li naßleb li incßaß quixcßutbesi chiku li Kâcuaß xban nak aßan re li Kâcuaß li kaDios. Abanan li cßaßru quixcßutbesi chiku, aßan ke lâo ut reheb li kalal kacßajol li teßcuânk mokon re nak takabânu li cßaßru naxye saß li chakßrab aßin.
