44

1Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
1—Cherabihak lâex aj Israel ralal xcßajolex laj Jacob laj cßanjel chicuu. Lâex li sicßbil êru inban.
2Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
2Lâin li Kâcuaß Dios. Lâin quinyoßobtesin êre. Chalen saß lê yoßlajic lâin xintenkßan êre. Mexxucuac, lâex aj cßanjel chicuu. Lâex sicßbil êru ut rarôquex inban.
3For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
3Lâin tinqßue li haß saß li chaki chßochß ut tinqßueheb li nimaß. Tinqßue lin musikß reheb lê ralal êcßajol ut tincuosobtesiheb.
4And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
4Teßtâmk lê ralal êcßajol joß nak natam li pim saß li cßalebâl. Chanchanakeb li cheß li naqßui chire li nimaß.
5One shall say, I am the LORD's; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.
5Cuanqueb li teßxye, “Lâin rehin li Kâcuaß.” Ut cuanqueb cuißchic li teßxye, “Lâin rehin laj Jacob.” Ut cuanqueb li teßxtzßîba chiruheb xtel “Lâin rehin li Kâcuaß” ut teßxye nak aßan xcomoneb laj Israel.—
6Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
6Li Kâcuaß li nimajcual Dios, lix Reyeb laj Israel ut laj Colol reheb naxye chi joßcaßin: —Lâin ac cuanquin ajcuiß chak nak toj mâjiß nayîbâc li ruchichßochß. Ut cuânkin ajcuiß saß rosoßjic. Mâcßaß junak chic dios chicuu lâin. Caßaj cuiß lâin.
7And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.
7¿Ma cuan ta biß junak li quixye cßaßru tâcßulmânk chalen saß xticlajic ut li tâchâlk mokon? ¿Ma cuan ta biß junak li quiru xbânunquil li quinbânu lâin nak quinxakabeb lin tenamit saß xnaßajeb junxil? Cui cuan junak, xyehak chak cßaßru tâcßulmânk mokon.
8Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
8Ex intenamit, mexxucuac. Lâex nequenau nak chalen chak junxil lâin quinchßolob xyâlal cßaßru tâcßulmânk. ¿Ma cuan ta biß junak chic Dios chicuu lâin? Lâex nequenau nak mâcßaß chic junak dios chicuu lâin. Caßaj cuiß lâin.—
9They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.
9Eb li nequeßyîban re li yîbanbil dios mâcßaß nequeßoc cuiß. Ut lix dioseb li nequeßxyîb mâcßaß nequeßoc cuiß. Eb aßan nequeßxnau nak li cßaßru nequeßxbânu, aßan ajcuiß nabalakßin reheb xban nak lix dioseb incßaß nequeßiloc ut mâcßaß nequeßxnau.
10Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?
10Li ani naxyîb junak xdios riqßuin cheß malaj ut riqßuin chßîchß mâcßaß na-oc cuiß.
11Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.
11Eb li nequeßyîban re li yîbanbil dios aßin xutânal teßêlk joß ajcuiß li nequeßlokßonin re xban nak yal cuînkeb li queßyîban re. Nak teßxchßutub ribeb saß rakleb âtin, sachsôkeb xchßôl ut xutânal teßêlk.
12The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
12Junak laj tenol chßîchß naxqßue lix chßîchß saß xam re tixyîb li cßaßru naraj. Riqßuin xmetzßêu naxten chi martillo. Abanan cui incßaß tâtzacânk, tâlajk lix metzßêu. Cui incßaß tâucßak, incßaß chic tixcuy cßanjelac.
13The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
13Ut junak laj pechß naxbis riqßuin bisleb li cßaßru naraj xyîbanquil ut naxtzßîba retalil. Naxjiß ru lix cheß riqßuin chßîchß. Naxqßue retalil li jalam ûch ut naxyîb joß rilobâl li cuînk re nak chßinaßus tâêlk re tixqßue saß rochoch.
14He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.
14Naxtßan li cheß chacalteß malaj ut li ciprés ut li ji li naqßui saß qßuicheß saß xyânkeb li nînki cheß. Malaj ut narau li chaj ut li hab naqßuiresin re.
15Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.

16He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:
16Jun jachal li cheß naxcßat chokß xsiß ut aran naxcßub lix tzacaêmk. Naxpom lix tib ut naxtiu toj nacßojla xchßôl. Nakßixin chiru li xam ut naxye: —Cßajoß xsahil li xam. Xinxkßixna, chan.
17And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
17Riqßuin li jun jachal chic naxyîb jun li jalam ûch chokß xdios. Naxcuikßib rib chiru ut naxlokßoni. Natijoc ut natzßâman chiru ut naxye re li jalam ûch aßan: —Lâat lin dios. Chinâcol, chan.
18They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
18Eb li nequeßyîban re li dios aßan incßaß nequeßxtau xyâlal xban nak chanchaneb li mutzß. Incßaß nequeßraj xtaubal xyâlal xban nak mâcßaßeb xnaßleb.
19And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
19Li cuînk li quiyîban re mâcßaß xnaßleb. Incßaß nacßoxlac chi moco naru tixye, “Jun jachal li cheß xincßat. Xinyîb lin tzacaêmk ut xinpom lin tib ut xincuaßac. ¿Ma tinyîb ta biß li dios cheß li mâcßaß na-oc cuiß riqßuin li jun jachal chic? ¿Ma naru ta biß tincuikßib cuib chiru jun tokolak li cheß?”
20He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
20Chanchan nak naxcuaß li cha. Naxqßue rib chi balakßîc. Incßaß naru tixcol rib chiru li ticßtiß. Incßaß naru tixye, “moco dios ta li cuan saß lin nim ukß.”
21Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
21Li Kâcuaß quixye: —Lâex aj Israel, lâex ralal xcßajol laj Jacob. Chijulticokß taxak êre li naßleb aßin. Lâex aj cßanjel chicuu. Lâin quinyoßobtesin êre. Lâex aj Israel, incßaß taxak tinsachk saß êchßôl.
22I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
22Lâin xinsachoc re lê mâc joß nak nasach li chok. Sukßinkex cuiqßuin xban nak lâin xincoloc êre.
23Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
23Chanchan nak tixjap re chi bichânc li choxa re xqßuebal xlokßal li Kâcuaß. Chanchan nak tixjap re li chamal li ruchichßochß, joß ajcuiß li tzûl ut chixjunil li cheß li cuan saß qßuicheß. Teßsahokß saß xchßôleb xban nak li Kâcuaß quixcßutbesi lix cuanquilal nak quixcoleb laj Israel li ralal xcßajol laj Jacob.
24Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
24Aßan aßin li quixye li Kâcuaß: —Lâin li Kâcuaß laj Colol êre. Lâin quinyoßobtesin êre nak toj mâjiß nequexyoßla. Lâin li Kâcuaß. Lâin quinyîban re chixjunil li cßaßru cuan. Lâin quinyîb li choxa ut quinhel ru. Mâ ani quitenkßan cue nak quinyîb li ruchichßochß.
25That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;
25Lâin nincßutbesi nak mâcßaß na-oc cuiß li cßaßru nequeßxye laj kße. Lâin ninbânun re nak incßaß na-uxman li cßaßru nequeßxye li nequeßbalakßin. Ut lâin ajcuiß nincßutbesin re nak mâcßaß xyâlal li cßaßru nequeßxye li nequeßxcßoxla nak cuanqueb xnaßleb xjuneseb.
26That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:
26Abanan, lâin ninbânun re nak tâuxmânk li cßaßru nequeßxye laj cßanjel chicuu. Us tâêlk lix cßanjeleb li tintaklaheb. Lâin ninye nak teßcuânk cuißchic cristian saß li tenamit Jerusalén. Ut teßyîbâk cuißchic li tenamit li cuanqueb Judá, li queßsacheß junxil.
27That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:
27Cui lâin tinye nak tâchakik li palau, tâchakik. Ut cui tinye nak teßchakik li nimaß, teßchakik ajcuiß.Nak lâin tinye re laj Ciro nak aßan tâcßanjelak chicuu, laj Ciro tixbânu li cßaßru nacuaj toj retal nak tixye nak li tenamit Jerusalén tâyîbâk cuißchic. Ut tixye ajcuiß nak li templo tâyîbâk cuißchic, chan li Kâcuaß.
28That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.
28Nak lâin tinye re laj Ciro nak aßan tâcßanjelak chicuu, laj Ciro tixbânu li cßaßru nacuaj toj retal nak tixye nak li tenamit Jerusalén tâyîbâk cuißchic. Ut tixye ajcuiß nak li templo tâyîbâk cuißchic, chan li Kâcuaß.
