44

1The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,
1Li Kâcuaß quiâtinac riqßuin laj Jeremías chirixeb chixjunileb laj judío li cuanqueb Egipto saß eb li tenamit Migdol, Tafnes, Menfis ut saß li naßajej Patros.
2Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,
2Li nimajcual Dios, lix Dioseb laj Israel quixye chi joßcaßin: —Lâex xeqßue retal li raylal li xinqßue saß xbên li tenamit Jerusalén ut saß xbêneb li tenamit li cuanqueb Judá. Anakcuan jucßbileb chic ut mâcßaß cuan saß eb li tenamit aßan.
3Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.
3Xinbânu chi joßcan reheb xban li mâusilal queßxbânu. Queßxqßue injoskßil nak queßxcßat xpomeb ut queßxlokßoni li jalanil dios li incßaß xeßxnau ru eb aßan, chi moco lâex, chi moco lê naß êyucuaß.
4Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.
4Nabal sut quintaklaheb li profeta, laj cßanjel chicuu, riqßuineb. Eb li profeta queßxye reheb nak incßaß teßxbânu li yibru naßleb aßin, li incßaß nacuulac chicuu.
5But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.
5Abanan incßaß queßrabi chi moco queßxqßue retal li cßaßru queßxye li profetas. Incßaß queßxcanab xbânunquil li mâusilal, chi moco queßxcanab xcßatbal lix pomeb chiruheb li jalanil dios.
6Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.
6Joßcan nak quinumta lin joskßil saß xbêneb ut quicuisi injoskßil saß xbêneb li tenamit li cuanqueb Judá ut saß eb li be li cuanqueb Jerusalén. Lâin quinsach ruheb ut mâcßaß cuan saß eb li tenamit toj chalen anakcuan.
7Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;
7Aßan aßin li naxye li Kâcuaß li nimajcual Dios, lix Dioseb laj Israel: ¿Cßaßut nak nequebânu li mâusilal aßin? Êjunes nequesach êrib. ¿Cßaßut nak nequeqßueheb chi câmc eb li cuînk ut eb li ixk joß eb ajcuiß li sâj cuînk ut eb lê cocßal toj retal nak mâ jun chic xcomoneb laj Judá nequeßcana?
8In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
8¿Cßaßut nak nequechikß injoskßil riqßuin xlokßoninquileb li dios li xeyîb ut riqßuin xcßatbal lê pom chiruheb li dios li cuanqueb arin Egipto li bar xexchal cuiß chi cuânc? Lâex têsach êrib êjunes ut texhobekß ut xicß chic tex-ilekß xbaneb chixjunileb li xnînkal ru tenamit li cuanqueb saß ruchichßochß.
9Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
9¿Ma xsach saß êchßôl li mâusilal li queßxbânu lê xeßtônil yucuaß ut eb li rey ut eb li rixakileb saß li naßajej Judá? ¿Ma xsach saß êchßôl li mâusilal li xebânu lâex ut eb lê rixakil aran Judá ut aran Jerusalén?
10They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
10Toj chalen anakcuan lâex incßaß quecubsi êrib chi moco niquinêlokßoni. Ut incßaß nequebânu li cßaßru naxye saß lin chakßrab li quinqßue êre lâex ut reheb ajcuiß lê xeßtônil yucuaß.
11Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.
11Joßcan nak lâin li nimajcual Dios, lix Dioseb laj Israel, tinqßue li raylal aßin saß êbên lâex re xsachbal êru lâex aj Judá.
12And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.
12Lâin tinsacheb chixjunileb laj Judá li incßaß queßsacheß ruheb junxil. Tinsacheb chixjunileb li teßxqßue xchßôl chi xic chi cuânc Egipto. Jun xxiquic, joß li cuanqueb xcuanquil, joß eb li mâcßaßeb xcuanquil, telajeßcâmk aran Egipto. Cuan li teßcâmk saß li plêt ut cuan li teßcâmk xban cueßej. Xucuajel rilbal li teßxcßul. Teßhobekß ut teßmajecuâk xbaneb li tenamit ut teßseßêk.
13For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:
13Lâin tinqßueheb chixtojbal lix mâqueb li xeßcôeb chi cuânc Egipto. Tintakla li plêt, li cueßej ut li caki yajel saß xbêneb joß quinbânu reheb laj Jerusalén.
14So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.
14Mâ jun reheb laj Judá li queßcôeb chi cuânc Egipto teßcolekß. Mâ jun reheb tâsukßîk cuißchic Judá usta teßraj ru sukßîc. Caßaj chic li teßruhânk chi êlelic teßsukßîk, chan li Dios.
15Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
15Chixjunileb li cuanqueb aran queßâtinac riqßuin laj Jeremías. Saß xyânkeb aßan cuanqueb li cuînk li queßxnau nak eb li rixakil queßmayejac chiruheb li jalanil dios. Cuanqueb nabaleb li ixk chßutchßûqueb aran, joß eb ajcuiß chixjunileb laj judío li cuanqueb Patros, xcuênt Egipto. Queßxye re laj Jeremías:
16As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.
16—Lâo incßaß takabânu li cßaßru xaye ke saß xcßabaß li Dios.
17But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
17Lâo takabânu chixjunil li cßaßru xkaye. Takacßat kapom chiru li kanaß po, li nequeßxye “Reina del Cielo” re. Takamayeja li kavino chiru joß queßxbânu li kayucuaß ut eb li karey joß eb ajcuiß li xeßtaklan saß kabên saß eb li tenamit li cuanqueb Judá ut aran Jerusalén. Saß eb li cutan aßan sa saß kachßôl ut cuan nabal katzacaêmk. Mâ jun cua xkacßul raylal.
18But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.
18Chalen nak xkacanab xcßatbal kapom chiru li kanaß po ut chalen nak xkacanab xmayejanquil li kavino chiru, mâcßaß chic katzacaêmk ut yôqueb chi câmc eb li kacomon saß li plêt ut xban cueßej, chanqueb.
19And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?
19Ut eb li ixk queßxye: —¿Ma incßaß ta biß queßxnau li kabêlom nak xkacßat kapom chiru li kanaß po? Ut, ¿ma incßaß ta biß queßxnau nak xkamayeja li vino chiru ut xkayîb li caxlan cua joß retalil li po? chanqueb.
20Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,
20Laj Jeremías quiâtinac riqßuineb chixjunileb li tenamit, joß cuînk joß ixk li yôqueb chi âtinac riqßuin.
21The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind?
21Quixye reheb: —¿Ma incßaß ta biß quixnau li Dios nak xecßat li pom saß eb li tenamit li cuanqueb Judá ut aran Jerusalén? ¿Ma incßaß ta biß quixqßue retal nak xecßat li pom lâex, ut eb lê yucuaß joß eb ajcuiß lê rey ut eb li nequeßtaklan saß êbên?
22So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
22Li Dios incßaß chic quixcuy rilbal li mâc ut li mâusilal xebânu. Incßaß chic quixcuy rilbal lix yibal ru lê naßleb. Joßcan nak quixsach ru lê naßaj. Mâcßaß chic cuan chi saß anakcuan ut majecuanbil chic.
23Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.
23Li raylal aßin xtßaneß saß êbên xban nak quexmâcob chiru li Kâcuaß. Quecßat lê pom chiruheb li jalanil dios ut incßaß quebânu li cßaßru quixye li Kâcuaß. Quekßet li chakßrab ut incßaß quebânu li cßaßru quextakla cuiß.
24Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:
24Ut laj Jeremías quixye ajcuiß reheb li tenamit, joß eb ajcuiß li ixk: —Abihomak li cßaßru naxye li Kâcuaß, lâex aj Judá, li cuanquex arin Egipto.
25Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
25Li Kâcuaß li nimajcual Dios, lix Dioseb laj Israel, naxye: —Lâex cuînk ut lâex ixk, lâex nequeye, “Lâo takabânu li cßaßru xkaye. Takacßat li pom ut takamayeja li kavino chiru li kanaß po,” chanquex. Ut yôquex chixbânunquil li cßaßru xeye. Joßcan nak anakcuan, bânuhomak li cßaßru xeye.
26Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.
26Abanan lâex aj judío li cuanquex arin Egipto, cherabi li cßaßru naxye li Kâcuaß. Li Kâcuaß naxye: —Lâin li yoßyôquil Dios riqßuin juramento ninye nak mâ jun aj judío li cuan Egipto tixpatzß incßabaß nak tâtijok, chi moco tixbânu chic li juramento saß incßabaß.
27Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.
27Lâin tinbânûnk re nak incßaß us tex-êlk. Tâsachekß êru. Eb laj judío li cuanqueb Egipto teßcâmk. Teßcamsîk riqßuin chßîchß saß li plêt malaj ut xban cueßej.
28Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or their's.
28Moco nabaleb ta li teßêlk Egipto li teßxic cuißchic chi cuânc Judá. Moco qßuiheb ta li incßaß teßcamsîk. Ut chixjunileb laj Judá li incßaß queßsacheß ru, li queßchal chak Egipto, teßxqßue retal li cßaßru tâcßulmânk, ma li xinye lâin, malaj ut li cßaßru xeßxye eb aßan.
29And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:
29Lâex tênau nak xakxo xcuanquil li cuâtin nak xinye nak tinqßue raylal saß êbên. Lâin li Kâcuaß tinqßue junak li retalil chêru nak lâin texinqßue chixtojbal êmâc saß li naßajej aßin.Aßan aßin li retalil li tinqßue. Lâin tinkßaxtesi laj faraón Hofra xcßabaß, lix reyeb laj Egipto, saß rukßeb li xicß nequeßiloc re, li teßajok xcamsinquil. Tinbânu riqßuin laj Hofra joß quinbânu riqßuin laj Sedequías lix reyeb laj Judá nak quinkßaxtesi saß rukß laj Nabucodonosor lix reyeb laj Babilonia nak yô chixsicßbal re tixcamsi, chan li Kâcuaß.
30Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaohhophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.
30Aßan aßin li retalil li tinqßue. Lâin tinkßaxtesi laj faraón Hofra xcßabaß, lix reyeb laj Egipto, saß rukßeb li xicß nequeßiloc re, li teßajok xcamsinquil.
