1Judge not, that ye be not judged.
1Mâ ani têtz'il âtin chirix re nak inc'a' tâtz'ilek' âtin chêrix lâex.
2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
2Xban nak chanru nak nequextz'iloc âtin, jo'can ajcui' tâuxk êre lâex. Ut riq'uin li bisleb li nequexbisoc cui', riq'uin ajcui' a'an texbisek' lâex.
3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
3¿C'a'ut nak nacaq'ue retal li c'aj che' cuan sa' xnak' ru lâ cuas âcuîtz'in ut inc'a' nacacuil li tz'amba cuan sa' xnak' âcuu lâat?
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
4¿Chanru nak tâye re lâ cuas âcuîtz'in: "Cuisihak li c'aj che' sa' xnak' âcuu", ut toj cuan li tz'amba sa' xnak' âcuu lâat?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
5At aj ca' pac'al u, xbên cua isi li tz'amba cuan sa' li xnak' âcuu, tojo'nak tat-ilok chi tz'akal re risinquil li c'aj che' cuan sa' xnak' ru lâ cuas âcuîtz'in.
6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
6Mêq'ue reheb li tz'i' li c'a'ru k'axal lok' xban nak naru neque'chal sa' êbên ut textiu. Chi moco têq'ue li pec li k'axal terto xtz'ak chiruheb li âk re te'xyek'i.
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
7Nak tâpaltok c'a'ru êre, chextz'âmânk chiru li Dios ut a'an tixq'ue êre; chesic'ak ut têtau, chebokak ut li puerta tâtehek' chêru.
8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
8Chebânu a'an xban nak li ani natz'âman chiru li Dios naq'uehe' re. Li ani naxsic', naxtau. Ut li ani nabokoc, li puerta natehe' chiru.
9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
9¿Ma cuan ta bi' junak yucua'bej sa' êyânk tixq'ue junak pec re li ralal nak tixpatz' xcua re?
10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
10Ut nak tixpatz' junak xcar re, ¿ma c'anti' ta bi' tixq'ue re?
11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
11Cui lâex li moco châbilex ta nequenau xq'uebal li c'a'ru châbil re lê ralal êc'ajol, ¿ma toja' ta chic lê Yucua' li cuan sa' choxa inc'a' tixq'ue li k'axal châbil re li ani tixtz'âma chiru?
12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
12Jo'can nak li c'a'ru nequeraj lâex nak te'xbânu raj lê ras êrîtz'in, chebânuhak lâex reheb a'an, xban nak a'an a'in xyâlal li chak'rab li quiq'uehe' re laj Moisés, ut a'an ajcui' lix yâlal lix yehomeb li profeta.
13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
13Chex-oc sa' li oquebâl li ca'ch'in ru xban nak nim ru li oquebâl ut nim ru li be li naxic sa' li tojba mâc ut nabaleb li neque'xic aran.
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
14Abanan li oquebâl ut li be li naxic sa' li junelic yu'am, a'an ca'ch'in ru ut inc'a' q'uiheb li neque'oc aran.
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
15Chenauhak xcolbal êrib chiruheb li profeta aj balak'. Chanchan nak châbileb jo' li carner nak neque'c'utun. Abanan moco yâl ta. Chanchaneb li josk' aj xoj nak neque'chal chi balak'înc.
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
16Yal riq'uin lix na'lebeb tênau ruheb. Lâex nequeq'ue retal nak li q'uix inc'a' narûchin li uva ut li tun q'uix inc'a' narûchin li higo.
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
17Jo'can nak li châbil che', châbil ajcui' li ru naxq'ue. Ut li che' li inc'a' us, inc'a' ajcui' us li ru naxq'ue.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
18Li châbil che' inc'a' naru narûchin li inc'a' us, chi moco li che' inc'a' us narûchin li châbil.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
19Chixjunil li che' li inc'a' châbil li ru naxq'ue nayoc'man ut naq'ueman sa' xam.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
20Jo'can ut nak riq'uin lix na'lebeb li profeta tênau ru aniheb.
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
21Moco chixjunileb ta li neque'yehoc "Kâcua', Kâcua'" cue, te'oc sa' lix nimajcual cuanquilal li Dios. Aban li neque'bânun re li naraj lin Yucua' cuan sa' choxa, a'aneb li te'oc sa' lix nimajcual cuanquilal li Dios.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
23Ut lâin tinye reheb, "Lâex mâcua'ex cualal inc'ajol. Lâin inc'a' ninnau êru. Elenkex chicuu, ex aj bânuhom mâusilal."
24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
24Jo'can nak yalak ani tâabînk reheb li cuâtin a'in ut cui tixbânu li c'a'ru xinye, li jun a'an tinjuntak'êta riq'uin li cuînk cuan xna'leb li quixyîb li rochoch sa' xbên pec.
25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
25Ut quichal li hab ut quicuan li but'i ha', ut quichal li câk-sut-ik'. Coxsac' rib chiru li cab a'an, ut inc'a' quit'ane' li cab xban nak yîbanbil chi us sa' xbên pec.
26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
26Ut yalak ani tâabînk re li cuâtin ut inc'a' tixbânu li c'a'ru xinye, li jun a'an tinjuntak'êta riq'uin li cuînk li mâc'a' xna'leb. Inc'a' quixyîb li rochoch chi châbil. Yal sa' xbên samaib quixq'ue.
27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
27Ut quichal li hab, quicuan li but'i ha' ut quichal li câk-sut-ik'. Coxsac' rib chiru ut li cab a'an quit'ane' ut aran qui-oso'.
28And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
28Ut nak quirake' li Jesús chixyebal li âtin a'in, sachsôqueb xch'ôl que'cana li q'uila tenamit chirabinquil li c'a'ru yô chixyebal.Que'sach xch'ôleb xban nak quixc'ut chi tz'akal lix yâlal chiruheb riq'uin xcuanquil ut moco jo' ta eb laj tz'îb.
29For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
29Que'sach xch'ôleb xban nak quixc'ut chi tz'akal lix yâlal chiruheb riq'uin xcuanquil ut moco jo' ta eb laj tz'îb.
