16

1The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.
1Eb li cristian nequeßxcßûb ru cßaßru nequeßxbânu, abanan li Kâcuaß, aßan yal re ma teßxbânu li cßaßru nequeßxcßûb ru malaj ut incßaß.
2All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
2Eb li cristian nequeßxcßoxla nak us chixjunil li nequeßxbânu. Abanan, li Kâcuaß naxnau ma us malaj ut incßaß us li cuan saß lix cßaßuxeb.
3Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
3Canab saß rukß li Dios chixjunil li cßaßru nacacßoxla xbânunquil. Ut aßan tâtenkßânk âcue re nak us tat-êlk riqßuin li cßaßru tâbânu.
4The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
4Cuan xyâlal nak quixyîb li cßaßak re ru li Dios. Ut quixyîbeb ajcuiß li incßaß useb xnaßleb re nak teßroybeni lix tojbal lix mâqueb.
5Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
5Li Kâcuaß xicß narileb li nequeßxkßetkßeti ribeb. Relic chi yâl nak incßaß teßcanâk chi incßaß teßxtoj rix lix mâqueb.
6By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
6Riqßuin xbânunquil li yâl ut li châbilal naru nacuyeß li mâc. Ut riqßuin xqßuebal xlokßal li Kâcuaß naru xcanabanquil li mâusilal.
7When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
7Nak li Kâcuaß nacuulac chiru li cßaßru nequeßxbânu li cristian, aßan ajcuiß naqßuehoc reheb chixcßambaleb rib saß usilal riqßuineb li xicß nequeßiloc reheb.
8Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
8Kßaxal us nak cuânk cßaßru âcue saß tîquilal, usta caßchßin ajcuiß, chiru nak cuânk nabal cßaßru âcue riqßuin balakßic.
9A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
9Eb li cristian nequeßxcßoxla li cßaßru nequeßxbânu. Abanan li Kâcuaß yal re ma teßxbânu malaj ut incßaß.
10A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.
10Li rey moco xjunes ta naâtinac. Li Dios ban nayehoc re cßaßru naxbânu. Ut aßan narakoc âtin saß xyâlal.
11A just weight and balance are the LORD's: all the weights of the bag are his work.
11Li ani nabisoc chi tzßakal re ru, aßan naxbânu joß naraj li Kâcuaß. Ut li Kâcuaß naraj nak li cristian teßbisok chi tzßakal re ru.
12It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
12Incßaß us chokß reheb li rey xbânunquil li incßaß us xban nak riqßuin xbânunquil li tîquilal xakxôqueb lix cuanquileb.

14Li ani cuan xnaßleb incßaß tixchikß xjoskßil li rey xban nak cui teßxchikß xjoskßil, li rey naru naxtakla xcamsinquileb.
15In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.
15Li rey naxbânu usilal reheb li nequeßxbânu li cßaßru naraj aßan. Chanchan li hab li naqßuehoc re li acuîmk chi kßanoc.
16How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
16Kßaxal us nak cuânk ânaßleb chiru nak cuânk nabal lâ biomal. Kßaxal us nak tâtau xyâlal chiru nak cuânk nabal lâ tumin.
17The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
17Li cßaßru nequeßxbânu li tîqueb xchßôl, aßan xcanabanquil li mâusilal. Ut nequeßxqßue retal chi us li cßaßru nequeßxbânu re nak teßxcol rix lix yußameb.
18Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

19Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
19Kßaxal us nak takacubsi kib saß xyânkeb li nebaß chiru nak takanimobresi kib saß xyânkeb li cuanqueb xbiomal.
20He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.

21Li ani naxnau cßoxlac, “cuan xnaßleb” chanqueb re. Ut nequeßabin chiru xban nak naxnau âtinac chi châbil.
22Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
22Li ani cuan xnaßleb naxtau xyußam chi junelic. Ut xqßuebal xnaßlebeb li incßaß nequeßxtau xyâlal, aßan mâcßaß aj e.
23The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
23Li ani cuan xnaßleb naxcßoxla chi us li cßaßru naxye. Ut li âtin li naxye na-abîc.
24Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
24Li châbil âtin, aßan chanchan li xyaßal cab. Sa xtzacanquil ut naxqßue xcacuilal li katibel.
25There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

26He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.
26Li ani natrabajic, natrabajic xban nak tzacânc naraj. Xban nak cuaßac naraj, cau nacßanjelac.
27An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.
27Eb li incßaß useb xnaßleb junes mâusilal nequeßxcßoxla xbânunquil. Ra nanak cuiß li râtineb. Chanchan li xam.
28A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
28Li incßaß useb xnaßleb nequeßyoßoban plêt. Ut li ani namoloc âtin nequeßxqßueheb saß chßaßajquilal li ramîgueb rib.
29A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
29Li ani najoskßoß saß junpât naxbalakßiheb li ras rîtzßin, ut naxcßameb chixbânunquil li incßaß us.
30He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.

32He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
32Kßaxal us nak cuânk âcuyum chiru nak cauhak âcuib. Ut kßaxal us nak tânau xcuybal âcuib chiru nak tâcuêchani junak tenamit.Eb li cuînk nequeßxsicß cßaßru teßxbânu riqßuin bûlic. Abanan li Dios, aßan yal re saß xbên chixjunil.
33The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.
33Eb li cuînk nequeßxsicß cßaßru teßxbânu riqßuin bûlic. Abanan li Dios, aßan yal re saß xbên chixjunil.
