1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1សូមគិតមើល៍ព្រះបិតាមានព្រះហឫទ័យស្រឡាញ់យើងខ្លាំងដល់កំរិតណា គឺព្រះអង្គស្រឡាញ់យើងរហូតដល់ទៅហៅយើងថាជាបុត្ររបស់ព្រះអង្គ ហើយយើងពិតជាបុត្ររបស់ព្រះអង្គមែន! ហេតុនេះហើយបានជាមនុស្សលោកមិនស្គាល់យើង មកពីគេមិនបានស្គាល់ព្រះអង្គ។
2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
2កូនចៅជាទីស្រឡាញ់អើយ! ពេលនេះ យើងទាំងអស់គ្នាជាបុត្ររបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ហើយដែលយើងនឹងទៅជាយ៉ាងណាៗនោះ ព្រះអង្គពុំទាន់សំដែងអោយយើងដឹងនៅឡើយទេ។ ប៉ុន្ដែ នៅពេលព្រះគ្រិស្ដយាងមកដល់ យើងនឹងបានដូចព្រះអង្គដែរ ដ្បិតព្រះអង្គមានភាពយ៉ាងណាយើងនឹងឃើញព្រះអង្គយ៉ាងនោះ។
3And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
3អ្នកណាមានសេចក្ដីសង្ឃឹមលើព្រះអង្គបែបនេះ អ្នកនោះបានជំរះខ្លួនអោយបរិសុទ្ធ ដូចព្រះអង្គបរិសុទ្ធដែរ។
4Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
4អ្នកណាប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើបាប អ្នកនោះបំពានលើវិន័យ ដ្បិតអំពើបាបជាការបំពានលើវិន័យ។
5And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
5អ្នករាល់គ្នាដឹងស្រាប់ហើយថា ព្រះយេស៊ូយាងមក ដើម្បីដកបាបចេញពីមនុស្សលោក ដ្បិតគ្មានបាបនៅក្នុងព្រះអង្គទាល់តែសោះ។
6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
6អ្នកណាស្ថិតនៅជាប់នឹងព្រះអង្គ អ្នកនោះមិនប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើបាបទេ រីឯអ្នកប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើបាប មិនដែលបានឃើញព្រះអង្គព្រមទាំងមិនស្គាល់ព្រះអង្គផង។
7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
7កូនចៅទាំងឡាយអើយ សុំកុំអោយនរណាម្នាក់មកបញ្ឆោតអ្នករាល់គ្នាឡើយ។ អ្នកណាប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើសុចរិត អ្នកនោះជាមនុស្សសុចរិត ដូចព្រះយេស៊ូទ្រង់សុចរិតដែរ។
8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
8អ្នកណាប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើបាប អ្នកនោះកើតចេញពីមារ ដ្បិតមារបានប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើបាប តាំងពីដើមរៀងមក។ ព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានយាងមក ដើម្បីរំលាយកិច្ចការរបស់មារ។
9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
9អ្នកដែលកើតមកពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់ មិនប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើបាបទេ ដ្បិតពូជរបស់ព្រះអង្គស្ថិតនៅក្នុងអ្នកនោះ ហើយអ្នកនោះពុំអាចប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើបាបបានឡើយ ព្រោះគេកើតមកពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់។
10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
10ត្រង់ហ្នឹងហើយ ដែលបង្ហាញអោយឃើញច្បាស់ថាអ្នកណាជាបុត្ររបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ អ្នកណាជាកូនចៅរបស់មារ ។ អ្នកណាមិនប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើសុចរិត អ្នកនោះមិនមែនកើតមកពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់ទេ ហើយអ្នកណាមិនស្រឡាញ់បងប្អូនអ្នកនោះក៏មិនមែនកើតមកពីព្រះអង្គដែរ។
11For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
11ដំណឹងដែលបងប្អូនបានទទួល តាំងពីដើមដំបូងរៀងមកនោះ គឺយើងត្រូវស្រឡាញ់គ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក។
12Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
12យើងមិនត្រូវធ្វើដូចកាអ៊ីន ដែលកើតចេញមកពីមារ កំណាច ហើយបានកាត់កប្អូនរបស់ខ្លួននោះឡើយ។ ហេតុអ្វីបានជាគាត់សម្លាប់ប្អូនដូច្នេះ? គឺមកពីអំពើដែលគាត់ធ្លាប់ប្រព្រឹត្ដសុទ្ធតែអាក្រក់ រីឯអំពើដែលប្អូនរបស់គាត់ប្រព្រឹត្ដសុទ្ធតែសុចរិត ។
13Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
13បងប្អូនអើយប្រសិនបើមនុស្សលោកស្អប់បងប្អូន សូមកុំងឿងឆ្ងល់ឡើយ។
14We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
14យើងដឹងហើយថា យើងបានឆ្លងផុតពីសេចក្ដីស្លាប់មកកាន់ជីវិត ព្រោះយើងចេះស្រឡាញ់បងប្អូន។ អ្នកណាមិនចេះស្រឡាញ់ អ្នកនោះស្ថិតនៅក្នុងសេចក្ដីស្លាប់។
15Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
15អ្នកណាស្អប់បងប្អូនរបស់ខ្លួន អ្នកនោះជាឃាតក។ បងប្អូនដឹងស្រាប់ហើយថា ឃាតកគ្មានជីវិតអស់កល្បជានិច្ចស្ថិតនៅក្នុងខ្លួនទេ។
16Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
16យើងស្គាល់សេចក្ដីស្រឡាញ់ស្រាប់ហើយ គឺព្រះយេស៊ូបានបូជាព្រះជន្មរបស់ព្រះអង្គ សំរាប់យើង ហេតុនេះ យើងត្រូវបូជាជីវិតសំរាប់បងប្អូនដែរ។
17But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
17ប្រសិនបើនរណាម្នាក់មានសម្បត្ដិលោកីយ៍ ហើយឃើញបងប្អូនរបស់ខ្លួនខ្វះខាត តែបែរជាមិនអាណិតអាសូរគេទេនោះ ធ្វើដូចម្ដេចនឹងអោយសេចក្ដីស្រឡាញ់របស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ស្ថិតនៅក្នុងខ្លួនអ្នកនោះកើត!
18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
18កូនចៅអើយ យើងមិនត្រូវស្រឡាញ់ត្រឹមតែបបូរមាត់ ឬ ពាក្យសំដីប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ គឺត្រូវស្រឡាញ់តាមអំពើដែលយើងប្រព្រឹត្ដ និង តាមសេចក្ដីពិតវិញ។
19And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
19ត្រង់ហ្នឹងហើយដែលយើងដឹងថា យើងកើតមកពីសេចក្ដីពិត ហើយចិត្ដយើងមិនភ័យខ្លាចនៅចំពោះព្រះភ័ក្ដ្រព្រះអង្គទេ។
20For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
20ហេតុនេះ ប្រសិនបើចិត្ដគំនិតរបស់យើង ដាក់ទោសយើង នោះព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដែលធំជាងចិត្ដរបស់យើង ទ្រង់ឈ្វេងយល់ទាំងអស់។
21Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
21កូនចៅជាទីស្រឡាញ់អើយ ប្រសិនបើចិត្ដគំនិតរបស់យើងមិនដាក់ទោសយើងទេ នោះយើងនឹងមានចិត្ដរឹងប៉ឹងនៅចំពោះព្រះភ័ក្ដ្រព្រះអង្គ។
22And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
22អ្វីៗក៏ដោយអោយតែយើងទូលសូម យើងមុខជាទទួលពីព្រះអង្គមិនខានព្រោះយើងកាន់តាមបទបញ្ជារបស់ព្រះអង្គ និង ប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើណាដែលគាប់ព្រះហឫទ័យព្រះអង្គ។
23And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
23រីឯបទបញ្ជា របស់ព្រះអង្គមានដូចតទៅ គឺយើងត្រូវជឿលើព្រះនាមព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដ ជាព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះអង្គ និង ត្រូវស្រឡាញ់គ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក តាមបទបញ្ជាដែលព្រះអង្គប្រទានមកយើង។
24And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
24អ្នកណាកាន់តាមបទបញ្ជា របស់ព្រះអង្គ អ្នកនោះស្ថិតនៅជាប់នឹងព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ហើយព្រះជាម្ចាស់ក៏ស្ថិតនៅជាប់នឹងអ្នកនោះដែរ។ ត្រង់ហ្នឹងហើយដែលយើងដឹងថា ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ស្ថិតនៅជាប់នឹងយើង ដោយសារព្រះវិញ្ញាណដែលព្រះអង្គប្រទានមកយើង។
