¹ខ្ញុំពេត្រុសជាសាវ័ក របស់ព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដ សូមជំរាបមកបងប្អូនដែលព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានជ្រើសរើស ហើយដែលបែកខ្ញែកគ្នា ទៅរស់ជាអាណិកជន នៅស្រុកប៉ុនតុស ស្រុកកាឡាទី ស្រុកកាប៉ាដូគាស្រុកអាស៊ី និង ស្រុកប៊ីធូនា។

²Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

²ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ជាព្រះបិតា បានជ្រើសរើសបងប្អូន តាមគំរោងការដែលព្រះអង្គគ្រោងទុកពីមុនមក ដោយព្រះវិញ្ញាណប្រោសបងប្អូនអោយបានវិសុទ្ធ ដើម្បីអោយបងប្អូនស្ដាប់បង្គាប់ព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដ និង អោយព្រះអង្គប្រោះព្រះលោហិតរបស់ព្រះអង្គលើបងប្អូន។ សូមអោយបងប្អូនបានប្រកបដោយព្រះគុណ និង សេចក្ដីសុខសាន្ដកាន់តែច្រើនឡើងៗ។

³Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

³សូមសរសើរតម្កើងព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ជាព្រះបិតារបស់ព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដ ជាព្រះអម្ចាស់នៃយើង។ ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានប្រោសយើង អោយកើតជាថ្មី ដោយប្រោសព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដ អោយមានព្រះជន្មរស់ឡើងវិញ ស្របតាមព្រះហឫទ័យមេត្ដាករុណាដ៏លើសលប់របស់ព្រះអង្គ ដូច្នេះ យើងមានសេចក្ដីសង្ឃឹមដែលមិនចេះសាបសូន្យ

⁴To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

⁴ហើយយើងនឹងទទួលមត៌ក ដែលមិនចេះរលួយ មិនចេះសៅហ្មង មិនចេះស្រពោន។ ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បំរុងទុកមត៌កនេះអោយបងប្អូននៅស្ថានបរមសុខ

⁵Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

⁵ហើយឫទ្ធានុភាពរបស់ព្រះអង្គថែរក្សាបងប្អូន ដោយសារជំនឿ ដើម្បីអោយបងប្អូនទទួលការសង្គ្រោះ ដែលព្រះអង្គបានរៀបចំទុកជាស្រេច ហើយដែលទ្រង់នឹងសំដែងនៅគ្រាចុងក្រោយបំផុត។

⁶Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

⁶ហេតុនេះហើយបានជាបងប្អូនមានចិត្ដរីករាយយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ទោះបីពេលនេះ បងប្អូនព្រួយចិត្ដដោយជួបនឹងទុក្ខលំបាកផ្សេងៗក្នុងមួយរយៈពេលខ្លីក៏ដោយ។

⁷That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

⁷ទុក្ខលំបាកទាំងនេះនឹងលត់ដំ ជំនឿរបស់បងប្អូនអោយមានតម្លៃលើសមាស ដែលតែងតែរលាយសូន្យនោះទៅទៀត គឺមាសដែលសំរាំងក្នុងភ្លើង។ នៅថ្ងៃដែលព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដសំដែងខ្លួនអោយមនុស្សលោកឃើញ ជំនឿរបស់បងប្អូននឹងទទួលការសរសើរ ទទួលសិរីរុងរឿង និង កិត្ដិយសជាមិនខាន។

⁸Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

⁸បងប្អូនមិនដែលបានឃើញព្រះអង្គទេ តែបងប្អូនស្រឡាញ់ព្រះអង្គទោះបីបងប្អូននៅតែពុំទាន់ឃើញព្រះអង្គក្ដី ក៏បងប្អូនជឿលើព្រះអង្គ ហើយមានអំណរសប្បាយដ៏រុងរឿងរកថ្លែងពុំបាន

⁹Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

⁹ព្រោះបងប្អូនបានទទួលការសង្គ្រោះសំរាប់ព្រលឹងខ្លួន ដែលជាទីដៅនៃជំនឿរបស់បងប្អូន។

¹⁰Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

¹⁰ព្យាការី ដែលថ្លែងព្រះបន្ទូល អំពីព្រះគុណដែលបំរុងសំរាប់បងប្អូនបាននាំគ្នាស្រាវជ្រាវ និង រិះរកចង់ដឹងអំពីការសង្គ្រោះនេះ។

¹¹Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

¹¹ព្រះវិញ្ញាណរបស់ព្រះគ្រិស្ដដែលគង់នៅក្នុងព្យាការីទាំងនោះ បានបញ្ជាក់ប្រាប់ជាមុនអំពីទុក្ខលំបាករបស់ព្រះគ្រិស្ដ និង អំពីសិរីរុងរឿងដែលព្រះអង្គនឹងទទួលតាមក្រោយ។ ពួកលោកក៏បានរិះគិតចង់ដឹងថា តើព្រឹត្ដិការណ៍នេះនឹងកើតមាននៅជំនាន់ណាក្នុងកាលៈទេសៈណា។

¹²Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

¹²ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានសំដែងអោយព្យាការីទាំងនោះដឹងថា សេចក្ដីដែលពួកលោកថ្លែង មិនមែនសំរាប់ពួកលោកទេ គឺសំរាប់បងប្អូនវិញ។ ឥឡូវនេះពួកអ្នកផ្សព្វផ្សាយដំណឹងល្អ បាននាំដំណឹងមកប្រាប់បងប្អូនអំពីសេចក្ដីទាំងនោះ ក្រោមការណែនាំរបស់ព្រះវិញ្ញាណដ៏វិសុទ្ធ ដែលព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានចាត់ពីស្ថានបរមសុខមក។ សូម្បីតែពួកទេវតា ក៏ប្រាថ្នាចង់យល់ជំរៅនៃសេចក្ដីទាំងនោះដែរ។

¹³Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

¹³ហេតុនេះ សូមបងប្អូនប្រុងប្រៀបចិត្ដគំនិតអោយមែនទែន កុំភ្លេចខ្លួនអោយសោះ ត្រូវមានចិត្ដសង្ឃឹមទាំងស្រុងទៅលើព្រះគុណថា ដែលព្រះជាម្ចាស់ប្រោសប្រទានអោយបងប្អូននៅថ្ងៃព្រះយេស៊ូគ្រិស្ដ នឹងសំដែងព្រះអង្គ អោយមនុស្សលោកឃើញ។

¹⁴As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

¹⁴ចូរធ្វើដូចកូនដែលចេះស្ដាប់បង្គាប់ គឺមិនត្រូវធ្វើតាមចិត្ដប៉ងប្រាថ្នាដែលបងប្អូនធ្លាប់មានកាលមិនទាន់ស្គាល់ព្រះអង្គ នោះឡើយ

¹⁵But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

¹⁵ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ ព្រះអង្គដែលបានត្រាស់ហៅបងប្អូន ទ្រង់វិសុទ្ធ យ៉ាងណា បងប្អូនក៏ត្រូវតែវិសុទ្ធ ក្នុងគ្រប់កិច្ចការ ដែលបងប្អូនប្រព្រឹត្ដយ៉ាងនោះដែរ

¹⁶Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

¹⁶ដ្បិតក្នុងគម្ពីរមានចែងទុកថា៖ «អ្នករាល់គ្នាត្រូវតែវិសុទ្ធ ព្រោះយើងវិសុទ្ធ»។

¹⁷And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

¹⁷មួយវិញទៀត ប្រសិនបើបងប្អូនអង្វររកព្រះជាម្ចាស់ក្នុងឋានៈព្រះអង្គជាព្រះបិតា ចូររស់នៅដោយគោរពកោតខ្លាចព្រះអង្គ ក្នុងពេលដែលបងប្អូនស្នាក់នៅលើផែនដីនេះ ដ្បិតព្រះអង្គនឹងវិនិច្ឆ័យមនុស្សតាមអំពើដែលម្នាក់ៗបានប្រព្រឹត្ដ ឥតរើសមុខនរណាឡើយ។

¹⁸Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

¹⁸បងប្អូនជ្រាបស្រាប់ហើយថា ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានលោះបងប្អូនអោយរួចពីរបៀបរស់នៅដ៏ឥតន័យ ដែលជាដំណែលតពីបុព្វបុរស របស់បងប្អូន មិនមែនដោយសារអ្វីៗដែលតែងតែរលាយសាបសូន្យទៅ ដូចជាមាសឬប្រាក់ទេ

¹⁹But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

¹⁹គឺដោយសារព្រះលោហិតដ៏ថ្លៃវិសេសរបស់ព្រះគ្រិស្ដ ដែលប្រៀបបាននឹងកូនចៀមដ៏ល្អឥតខ្ចោះ ឥតស្លាកស្នាម។

²⁰Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

²⁰ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានជ្រើសតាំងព្រះគ្រិស្ដ មុនកំណើតពិភពលោកទៅទៀត ហើយបានបង្ហាញព្រះអង្គអោយមនុស្សលោកឃើញនៅគ្រាចុងក្រោយនេះ ព្រោះតែបងប្អូន។

²¹Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

²¹តាមរយៈព្រះគ្រិស្ដ បងប្អូនជឿលើព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដែលបានប្រោសព្រះអង្គអោយមានព្រះជន្មរស់ឡើងវិញ ហើយប្រទានសិរីរុងរឿងមកព្រះអង្គ ដើម្បីអោយបងប្អូនមានជំនឿ និង មានសង្ឃឹមលើព្រះជាម្ចាស់។

²²Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

²²បងប្អូនបានជំរះព្រលឹងអោយបានបរិសុទ្ធ ដោយស្ដាប់តាមសេចក្ដីពិត ដើម្បីអោយបងប្អូនចេះស្រឡាញ់គ្នាយ៉ាងស្មោះស្ម័គ្រ ដូចបងប្អូនបង្កើត។ ចូរស្រឡាញ់គ្នាទៅវិញទៅមកអោយអស់ពីចិត្ដទៅ។

²³Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

²³ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានប្រោសបងប្អូនអោយកើតជាថ្មី មិនមែនដោយពូជដែលតែងតែរលួយទេ គឺដោយពូជមិនចេះរលួយដែលជាព្រះបន្ទូលរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់។ ព្រះបន្ទូលនេះផ្ដល់ជីវិតហើយនៅស្ថិតស្ថេរជាដរាប

²⁴For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

²⁴ដ្បិតមនុស្សគ្រប់ៗរូបប្រៀបបាននឹងស្មៅ រីឯសិរីរុងរឿងទាំងប៉ុន្មានរបស់គេប្រៀបបាននឹងផ្កា ស្មៅតែងតែក្រៀមហើយផ្កាក៏រុះរោយដែរ

²⁵But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

²⁵ប៉ុន្ដែព្រះបន្ទូលរបស់ព្រះអម្ចាស់នៅស្ថិតស្ថេរអស់កល្បជានិច្ច។ ព្រះបន្ទូលនេះគឺជាដំណឹងល្អ ដែលគេបាននាំយកមកជូនបងប្អូន។
