¹Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

²Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

²មកដល់ធីម៉ូថេជាកូនដ៏ពិតប្រាកដរបស់ខ្ញុំក្នុងជំនឿ។ សូមព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ជាព្រះបិតា និង ព្រះគ្រិស្ដយេស៊ូ ជាព្រះអម្ចាស់នៃយើងប្រទានព្រះគុណព្រះហឫទ័យមេត្ដាករុណា និង សេចក្ដីសុខសាន្ដដល់អ្នក។

³As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

³ខ្ញុំបានផ្ដែផ្ដាំអ្នក នៅពេលខ្ញុំចេញដំណើរទៅស្រុកម៉ាសេដូនរួចហើយថា ចូរស្នាក់នៅក្រុងអេភេសូនេះ ដើម្បីហាមប្រាមអ្នកខ្លះ កុំអោយបង្រៀនគោលលទ្ធិណាផ្សេងទៀតឡើយ

⁴Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

⁴ហើយក៏កុំអោយជាប់ចិត្ដទៅលើរឿងព្រេង និង ទៅលើបញ្ជីវង្សត្រកូលដ៏វែងអន្លាយនោះដែរ។ រឿងទាំងនេះបង្កអោយតែមានការជជែកវែកញែក ជាជាងគិតអំពីគំរោងការរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដែលយើងស្គាល់ តាមជំនឿ។

⁵Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

⁵ហេតុដែលខ្ញុំអោយហាមប្រាមដូច្នេះ គឺក្នុងគោលបំណងចង់អោយគេមានសេចក្ដីស្រឡាញ់ផុសចេញពីចិត្ដបរិសុទ្ធ ពីមនសិការជ្រះថ្លា និង ពីជំនឿឥតពុតត្បុត។

⁶From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

⁶អ្នកខ្លះបានងាកចេញពីគោលការណ៍នេះ ហើយក៏ត្រូវវង្វេងវង្វាន់និយាយពាក្យសំដីឥតខ្លឹមសារ

⁷Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

⁷គេចង់តាំងខ្លួនជាអ្នកប្រាជ្ញខាងវិន័យ តែគេមិនយល់ទាំងពាក្យដែលខ្លួននិយាយ ទាំងសេចក្ដីដែលខ្លួនបញ្ជាក់ថាពិតនោះផង។

⁸But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

⁸យើងដឹងហើយថា ក្រឹត្យវិន័យ ល្អប្រសើរ លុះត្រាតែយើងប្រើតាមក្បួនខ្នាត។

⁹Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

⁹យើងតោងដឹងទៀតថា ក្រឹត្យវិន័យមិនមែនចែងទុក សំរាប់មនុស្សសុចរិត ទេ គឺសំរាប់មនុស្សដែលគ្មានក្រឹត្យវិន័យ មនុស្សមិនស្ដាប់បង្គាប់ មនុស្សមិនគោរពប្រណិប័តន៍ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ មនុស្សបាប ពួកអ្នកបំផ្លាញ និង ប្រមាថទីសក្ការៈ ពួកអ្នកសម្លាប់ឪពុកម្ដាយ សម្លាប់គេ

¹⁰For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

¹⁰ពួកប្រាសចាកសីលធម៌ ពួករួមសង្វាសនឹងភេទដូចគ្នាពួកឈ្មួញមនុស្ស ពួកកុហក ពួកស្បថបំពាន និង ពួកអ្នកដែលប្រព្រឹត្ដអ្វីៗប្រឆាំងនឹងសេចក្ដីប្រៀនប្រដៅដ៏ត្រឹមត្រូវ

¹¹According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

¹¹ស្របតាមដំណឹងល្អ ស្ដីអំពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់ប្រកបដោយសិរីរុងរឿង និង សុភមង្គលជាដំណឹងល្អ ដែលព្រះអង្គបានផ្ញើទុកនឹងខ្ញុំ។

¹²And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

¹²ខ្ញុំសូមអរព្រះគុណព្រះគ្រិស្ដយេស៊ូ ជាអម្ចាស់នៃយើង ដែលបានប្រទានកម្លាំងមកខ្ញុំ ទ្រង់បានរាប់ខ្ញុំជាមនុស្សគួរអោយទុកចិត្ដ ហើយតែងតាំងខ្ញុំអោយបំរើព្រះអង្គ។

¹³Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

¹³ទោះបីពីដើមខ្ញុំធ្លាប់ប្រមាថ បៀតបៀន និង ប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើឃោរឃៅក៏ដោយ ក៏ព្រះអង្គមានព្រះហឫទ័យមេត្ដាករុណាដល់ខ្ញុំដែរ ព្រោះកាលណោះ ខ្ញុំគ្មានជំនឿ ហើយមិនយល់កិច្ចការដែលខ្ញុំប្រព្រឹត្ដ។

¹⁴And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

¹⁴ប៉ុន្ដែ ព្រះគុណរបស់ព្រះអម្ចាស់នៃយើងមានច្រើនពន់ប្រមាណ ទ្រង់ប្រោសអោយខ្ញុំមានជំនឿ និង មានសេចក្ដីស្រឡាញ់ ដោយរួមក្នុងអង្គព្រះគ្រិស្ដយេស៊ូ។

¹⁵This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

¹⁵ពាក្យនេះគួរអោយជឿ ហើយសមនឹងទទួលយកទាំងស្រុង គឺថាព្រះគ្រិស្ដយេស៊ូបានយាងមកក្នុងពិភពលោកដើម្បីសង្គ្រោះមនុស្សបាបដូចរូបខ្ញុំនេះជាអាទិ។

¹⁶Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

¹⁶ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ទ្រង់មានព្រះហឫទ័យមេត្ដាករុណាចំពោះខ្ញុំដូច្នេះ ដើម្បីអោយព្រះគ្រិស្ដយេស៊ូសំដែងព្រះហឫទ័យអត់ធ្មត់គ្រប់ចំពូក ដល់ខ្ញុំមុនគេ និង អោយខ្ញុំធ្វើជាគំរូដល់អស់អ្នកដែលនឹងជឿលើព្រះអង្គ ហើយទទួលជីវិតអស់កល្បជានិច្ច។

¹⁷Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁷សូមអោយព្រះមហាក្សត្រ ដែលគង់នៅអស់កល្បជានិច្ច ជាព្រះជាម្ចាស់តែមួយព្រះអង្គ មានព្រះជន្មមិនចេះសាបសូន្យ ដែលមនុស្សមើលពុំឃើញ បានប្រកបដោយព្រះកិត្ដិនាម និង សិរីរុងរឿង អស់កល្បជាអង្វែងតរៀងទៅ! អាម៉ែន!

¹⁸This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

¹⁸ធីម៉ូថេ កូនសំឡាញ់អើយខ្ញុំសូមផ្ដាំផ្ញើមកអ្នកស្របតាមព្រះបន្ទូលដែលគេថ្លែងទុកអំពីអ្នកស្រាប់។ ចូរពឹងផ្អែកលើព្រះបន្ទូលនេះ ដើម្បីពុះពារតយុទ្ធអោយបានល្អប្រសើរ

¹⁹Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

¹⁹ដោយមានជំនឿ និង មានមនសិការល្អ។ អ្នកខ្លះលែងមានមនសិការល្អបែបនេះ បណ្ដាលអោយជំនឿរបស់គេលិចលង់។

²⁰Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

²⁰ក្នុងចំណោមអ្នកទាំងនោះ មានហ៊ីមេនាស និង អលេក្សានត្រុសជាដើម។ ខ្ញុំបានប្រគល់ពួកគេ ទៅក្នុងកណ្ដាប់ដៃរបស់មារសាតាំង ដើម្បីអោយគេរៀនឈប់ប្រមាថព្រះជាម្ចាស់ទៀត។
