¹Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

¹បងប្អូនជាទីស្រឡាញ់អើយ បើយើងបានទទួលព្រះបន្ទូលសន្យាដ៏អស្ចារ្យយ៉ាងនេះហើយ យើងត្រូវជំរះខ្លួនអោយបានបរិសុទ្ធ ចាកផុតពីសៅហ្មងគ្រប់យ៉ាង ទាំងខាងរូបកាយ ទាំងខាងវិញ្ញាណ ដើម្បីអោយបានវិសុទ្ធ ទាំងស្រុង ដោយគោរពកោតខ្លាចព្រះជាម្ចាស់។

²Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.

²សូមបងប្អូនយល់ចិត្ដយើងផង! យើងពុំបានបោកប្រាស់នរណា ពុំបានធ្វើអោយនរណាហិនហោច ឬ ក៏កេងប្រវ័ញ្ចនរណាម្នាក់ឡើយ។

³I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you.

³ខ្ញុំនិយាយដូច្នេះ មិនមែនចង់ចោទប្រកាន់បងប្អូនទេ ដ្បិតខ្ញុំបានជំរាបបងប្អូនរួចស្រេចហើយថា យើងស្រឡាញ់បងប្អូន និង ស៊ូស្លាប់រស់ជាមួយបងប្អូនជានិច្ច។

⁴Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.

⁴ខ្ញុំទុកចិត្ដលើបងប្អូនយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ហើយខ្ញុំបានខ្ពស់មុខ ព្រោះតែបងប្អូនដែរ។ ខ្ញុំក៏បានធូរស្បើយក្នុងចិត្ដយ៉ាងច្រើន ព្រមទាំងមានអំណរសប្បាយពន់ប្រមាណ ទោះបីយើងកំពុងតែរងទុក្ខវេទនាខ្លាំងយ៉ាងនេះក៏ដោយ។

⁵For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.

⁵តាំងពីយើងបានទៅដល់ស្រុកម៉ាសេដូន រូបកាយយើងពុំដែលបានសំរាកសោះឡើយ។ យើងបានរងទុក្ខវេទនាសព្វបែបយ៉ាងគឺផ្នែកខាងក្រៅ គេធ្វើបាបយើង ហើយនៅខាងក្នុងចិត្ដ យើងចេះតែបារម្ភ។

⁶Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

⁶ក៏ប៉ុន្ដែ ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដែលតែងតែសំរាលទុក្ខអ្នកទន់ទាប ទ្រង់បានសំរាលទុក្ខយើងដោយលោកទីតុសទៅដល់។

⁷And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.

⁷យើងធូរចិត្ដ មិនមែនត្រឹមតែបានលោកទីតុសទៅដល់ប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ គឺមកពីបងប្អូនបានសំរាលទុក្ខគាត់ផងដែរ។ គាត់បាននាំដំណឹងមកថា បងប្អូនមានចិត្ដចង់ជួបខ្ញុំយ៉ាងខ្លាំង បងប្អូនបង្ហូរទឹកភ្នែកព្រមទាំងឈឺឆ្អាលនឹងខ្ញុំ ជាហេតុធ្វើអោយខ្ញុំមានអំណររឹតតែខ្លាំងឡើងថែមទៀត។

⁸For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.

⁸ប្រសិនបើសេចក្ដីដែលខ្ញុំសរសេរក្នុងសំបុត្រនេះ ធ្វើអោយបងប្អូនព្រួយចិត្ដ ក៏ខ្ញុំមិនស្ដាយក្រោយដែរ។ ប្រសិនបើខ្ញុំស្ដាយក្រោយ (ដ្បិតខ្ញុំយល់ថា សំបុត្រនេះនឹងនាំអោយបងប្អូនព្រួយចិត្ដមួយគ្រាមែន)

⁹Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

⁹ក៏ខ្ញុំសប្បាយចិត្ដនៅពេលនេះ ខ្ញុំសប្បាយ មិនមែនមកពីបងប្អូនព្រួយចិត្ដនោះទេ គឺមកពីដឹងថា ទុក្ខព្រួយនឹងនាំអោយបងប្អូនកែប្រែចិត្ដគំនិត ដ្បិតបងប្អូនព្រួយចិត្ដដូច្នេះស្របតាមព្រះជាម្ចាស់។ ហេតុនេះ យើងពុំបានធ្វើអោយបងប្អូនខូចខាតអ្វីឡើយ។

¹⁰For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

¹⁰តាមពិតទុក្ខព្រួយស្របតាមព្រះជាម្ចាស់បែបនេះ តែងតែនាំអោយកែប្រែចិត្ដគំនិតដើម្បីទទួលការសង្គ្រោះ ហើយយើងមិនស្ដាយក្រោយឡើយ។ រីឯទុក្ខព្រួយតាមបែបលោកីយ៍តែងតែនាំអោយស្លាប់វិញ។

¹¹For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

¹¹សូមគិតមើល៍ទុក្ខព្រួយដែលស្របតាមព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដូច្នេះ មានផលប្រយោជន៍ចំពោះបងប្អូនយ៉ាងណា គឺបងប្អូនមានចិត្ដខ្នះខ្នែង ហើយលើសពីនេះទៅទៀត បងប្អូនចេះសុំទោសទាស់ចិត្ដនឹងអំពើអាក្រក់ មានចិត្ដគោរពកោតខ្លាចមានចិត្ដប៉ងប្រាថ្នាយ៉ាងខ្លាំង មានចិត្ដឈឺឆ្អាល ហើយបងប្អូនក៏ចេះដាក់ទោសអ្នកប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើអាក្រក់ដែរ។ ការទាំងនេះ បង្ហាញអោយឃើញថា បងប្អូនគ្មានសៅហ្មងអ្វីទាំងអស់នៅក្នុងរឿងនេះ។

¹²Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.

¹²ដូច្នេះ ហេតុដែលខ្ញុំសរសេរមកបងប្អូន មិនមែនមកពីគិតដល់អ្នកប្រព្រឹត្ដអាក្រក់ ឬ គិតដល់អ្នកដែលរងនូវអំពើអាក្រក់នោះឡើយ ខ្ញុំសរសេរមក ដើម្បីអោយបងប្អូនមានឱកាសបង្ហាញទឹកចិត្ដខ្នះខ្នែងរបស់បងប្អូនចំពោះយើង នៅមុខព្រះជាម្ចាស់។

¹³Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.

¹³ការនេះហើយដែលបានសំរាលទុក្ខយើង។ ប៉ុន្ដែ លើសពីនេះ យើងក៏មានអំណររឹតតែខ្លាំងថែមទៀត ដោយឃើញលោកទីតុសមានអំណរសប្បាយ ព្រោះបងប្អូនទាំងអស់គ្នាបានជួយគាត់អោយស្ងប់ចិត្ដ លែងព្រួយបារម្ភ។

¹⁴For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth.

¹⁴ប្រសិនបើខ្ញុំបានខ្ពស់មុខបន្ដិចដោយនិយាយសរសើរពីបងប្អូនប្រាប់គាត់ ក៏ខ្ញុំមិនខ្មាសគាត់ដែរ។ សេចក្ដីដែលយើងសរសើរពីបងប្អូនប្រាប់លោកទីតុស គាត់នឹងឃើញថាជាការពិតមែន ដូចយើងធ្លាប់តែនិយាយអ្វីៗគ្រប់យ៉ាងប្រាប់បងប្អូន ស្របតាមសេចក្ដីពិតយ៉ាងនោះដែរ។

¹⁵And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.

¹⁵ពេលគាត់នឹកឃើញថា បងប្អូនទាំងអស់គ្នាតែងតែយកចិត្ដទុកដាក់ស្ដាប់បង្គាប់ និង ទទួលគាត់ដោយគោរពកោតខ្លាចញាប់ញ័រផងនោះ គាត់មានចិត្ដស្រឡាញ់បងប្អូនរឹតតែខ្លាំងឡើងៗ។

¹⁶I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things.

¹⁶ខ្ញុំត្រេកអរណាស់ ព្រោះខ្ញុំអាចទុកចិត្ដបងប្អូន ក្នុងគ្រប់កិច្ចការទាំងអស់។
