¹Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

¹Beidzot, brāļi, lūdziet Dievu par mums, lai Dieva vārds izplatītos un tiktu pagodināts, tāpat kā pie jums,

²And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

²Un lai mēs tiktu pasargāti no nekrietnajiem un ļaunajiem cilvēkiem, jo ne jau visi ir ticīgi!

³But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

³Bet Dievs ir uzticams. Viņš mūs stiprinās un sargās no ļauna.

⁴And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

⁴Kungā mēs paļaujamies uz jums, ka jūs darāt un darīsiet to, ko mēs pavēlam.

⁵And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

⁵Bet Kungs lai vada jūsu sirdis uz Dieva mīlestību un Kristus pacietību!

⁶Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

⁶Mēs jums, brāļi, aizrādām mūsu Kunga Jēzus Kristus vārdā, lai jūs norobežotos no katra brāļa, kas nekārtīgi dzīvo un neievēro mācību, ko tie no mums saņēmuši.

⁷For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

⁷Jo jūs paši zināt, kā jums jāseko mums, jo mēs, būdami pie jums, nebijām nekārtīgi!

⁸Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

⁸Un neviena maizi par velti neēdām, bet dienām un naktīm pūlējāmies un strādājām savu darbu, lai nevienu no jums neapgrūtinātu,

⁹Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

⁹Ne tāpēc, ka mums nebūtu tiesības uz to, bet lai mēs rādītu jums priekšzīmi, kurai jums jāseko.

¹⁰For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

¹⁰Jo arī tad, kad bijām pie jums, mēs jums aizrādījām, ka, ja kāds negrib strādāt, tas lai neēd.

¹¹For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

¹¹Jo mēs dzirdējām, ka daži starp jums dzīvo nekārtīgi, neko nestrādā, bet nododas nedarbiem.

¹²Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

¹²Bet tiem, kas tādi ir, mēs Kunga Jēzus Kristus vārdā pavēlam un pamudinām tos, lai viņi, mierīgi strādādami, ēstu savu maizi.

¹³But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

¹³Bet jūs, brāļi, nepiekūstiet, labu darīdami.

¹⁴And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

¹⁴Ja kāds mūsu rakstītam vārdam neklausa, to ievērojiet un nesaejieties ar viņu, lai tas tiktu apkaunots.

¹⁵Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

¹⁵Tomēr neuzskatiet to par ienaidnieku, bet pamāciet kā brāli!

¹⁶Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

¹⁶Pats miera Kungs lai dod jums mieru vienmēr un visur! Kungs lai ir ar jums visiem!

¹⁷The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

¹⁷Sveiciens ar manu, Pāvila, roku! Tāda zīme ir katrā vēstulē; tā es rakstu.

¹⁸The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
