¹And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

¹Un Viņi nonāca viņpus jūras geraziešu zemē.

²And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

²Un Viņam, izkāpjot no laivas, tūdaļ no kapiem nāca pretim nešķīstā gara apsēsts cilvēks.

³Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

³Viņam bija mītne kapos; un neviens nevarēja viņu pat važām sasiet,

⁴Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

⁴Jo bieži viņš, sasiets kāju valgā un važās, sarāva važas un salauza valgu; un neviens nespēja viņu savaldīt.

⁵And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

⁵Un vienmēr dienām un naktīm viņš mita kapos un kalnos, kliedza un sevi dauzīja akmeņiem.

⁶But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

⁶Bet ieraudzījis Jēzu tālumā, tas pieskrēja un pielūdza Viņu.

⁷And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

⁷Un viņš, kliegdams stiprā balsī, sacīja: Kas man un Tev, Jēzu, Dieva Visaugstākā Dēls? Es zvērinu Tevi pie Dieva, nemoci mani!

⁸For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

⁸Jo Viņš tam sacīja: Nešķīstais gars, izej no šī cilvēka!

⁹And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

⁹Un Viņš tam jautāja: Kāds tavs vārds? Un tas atbildēja Viņam: Leģions mans vārds, jo mēs esam daudz.

¹⁰And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

¹⁰Un tas Viņu ļoti lūdza, lai Viņš tos no šī apgabala neizdzītu.

¹¹Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

¹¹Bet tur pie kalna ganījās liels cūku bars.

¹²And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

¹²Un gari lūdza Viņu, sacīdami: Sūti mūs cūkās, lai mēs tanīs ieejam!

¹³And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

¹³Un Jēzus tūdaļ atļāva tiem. Un nešķīstie gari izgāja un iegāja cūkās, un cūku bars, kurā bija ap divi tūkstoši, lielā ātrumā metās jūrā un noslīka.

¹⁴And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

¹⁴Bet to gani aizbēga un pastāstīja pilsētā un laukos. Un iedzīvotāji izgāja raudzīt, kas noticis.

¹⁵And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

¹⁵Un viņi nāca pie Jēzus un redzēja to, kas tika ļaunā gara mocīts, sēžam apģērbtu un pilnā prātā; un tie ļoti nobijās.

¹⁶And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

¹⁶Un tie, kas to bija redzējuši, stāstīja viņiem, kas notika ar ļaunā gara apsēsto un cūkām.

¹⁷And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

¹⁷Un tie sāka Viņu lūgt, lai Viņš aizietu no to robežām.

¹⁸And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

¹⁸Bet kad Viņš kāpa laivā, sāka Viņu lūgt tas, kas bija ļaunā gara apsēts, lai tas varētu palikt pie Viņa.

¹⁹Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

¹⁹Un Viņš tam neatļāva, bet sacīja tam: Ej savās mājās pie savējiem un pasludini viņiem, kādas lielas lietas Kungs tev darījis un ka Viņš par tevi apžēlojies!

²⁰And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

²⁰Un viņš aizgāja un desmit pilsētu apgabalā sāka sludināt, ko Jēzus viņam darījis, un visi brīnījās.

²¹And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.

²¹Un kad Jēzus atkal laivā pārcēlās pāri jūrai, pie Viņa sapulcējās liels ļaužu pulks; un Viņš bija pie jūras.

²²And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,

²²Un nāca pie Viņa viens no sinagogas priekšniekiem, Jairs vārdā, un, redzēdams Viņu, krita pie Viņa kājām,

²³And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

²³Un ļoti Viņu lūdza, sacīdams: Mana meitiņa ir pie miršanas; nāc, uzliec viņai savu roku, lai tā kļūtu vesela un dzīvotu!

²⁴And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

²⁴Un Viņš aizgāja kopā ar to. Un daudz ļaužu sekoja Viņam un drūzmējās ap Viņu.

²⁵And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

²⁵Un bija sieviete, kas divpadsmit gadu cieta no asins tecēšanas.

²⁶And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

²⁶Tā bija daudz cietusi no daudziem ārstiem un bija iztērējusi visu savu mantu, bet, palīdzību neatradusi, bija nonākusi vēl ļaunākā stāvoklī.

²⁷When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

²⁷Viņa, izdzirdusi par Jēzu, nāca ļaužu pulkā un no mugurpuses pieskārās Viņa drēbēm.

²⁸For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

²⁸Jo tā sacīja: Ja tikai pieskaršos Viņa drēbēm, es kļūšu vesela.

²⁹And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

²⁹Un tūdaļ viņas asins avots izsīka; un viņa sajuta savās miesās, ka tā no šīs kaites izdziedināta.

³⁰And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

³⁰Un Jēzus tūdaļ, sevī nomanīdams, ka spēks no Viņa izgājis, pagriezās pret ļaudīm un sacīja: Kas skāra manas drēbes?

³¹And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

³¹Un Viņa mācekļi sacīja Viņam: Tu redzi, ka ļaudis spiežas pie Tevis, un Tu saki: kas man pieskārās?

³²And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

³²Un Viņš apskatījās, lai redzētu to, kas to bija darījusi.

³³But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

³³Bet sieviete, nobijusies un trīcēdama, zinādama, kas ar viņu noticis, nāca un krita Viņa priekšā zemē un teica Viņam visu patiesību.

³⁴And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

³⁴Bet Viņš tai sacīja: Meit, tava ticība tevi darījusi veselu! Ej mierā un esi vesela no savas kaites!

³⁵While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

³⁵Viņam vēl runājot, nāca pie sinagogas priekšnieka un sacīja: Tava meita jau mirusi, ko vēl apgrūtini Mācītāju?

³⁶As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

³⁶Bet Jēzus, izdzirdis vārdus, kas bija sacīti, teica sinagogas priekšniekam: Nebīsties, tikai tici!

³⁷And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

³⁷Un Viņš neļāva nevienam sev līdz iet, kā vien Pēterim un Jēkabam, un Jānim, Jēkaba brālim.

³⁸And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

³⁸Un viņi nonāca sinagogas priekšnieka namā; un Viņš redzēja uzbudinājumu un tos, kas raudāja un daudz vaimanāja.

³⁹And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

³⁹Un Viņš, iegājis, sacīja tiem: Ko jūs trokšņojat un raudat? Meitiņa nav mirusi, bet guļ.

⁴⁰And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

⁴⁰Un tie izsmēja Viņu. Bet Viņš, visus izraidījis, paņēma līdz meitiņas tēvu un māti, un tos, kas ar Viņu bija, un iegāja, kur meitiņa gulēja.

⁴¹And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

⁴¹Un Viņš, satvēris meitiņas roku, sacīja tai: Talita, kumi! Tulkojumā: Meitiņ, es tev saku, celies augšām!

⁴²And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

⁴²Un meitiņa tūlīt uzcēlās un staigāja, jo tā bija divpadsmit gadus veca. Un tos pārņēma liels izbrīns.

⁴³And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

⁴³Un Viņš tiem stingri piekodināja, lai neviens par to neuzzinātu; un Viņš lika dot tai ēst.
