1Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?
1ഞാന് സ്വതന്ത്രന് അല്ലയോ? ഞാന് അപ്പൊസ്തലന് അല്ലയോ? നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിനെ ഞാന് കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലയോ? കര്ത്താവില് ഞാന് ചെയ്ത പ്രവൃത്തിയുടെ ഫലം നിങ്ങള് അല്ലയോ?
2If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
2മറ്റുള്ളവര്ക്കും ഞാന് അപ്പൊസ്തലന് അല്ലെന്നുവരികില് എങ്ങനെയെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആകുന്നു; കര്ത്താവില് എന്റെ അപ്പൊസ്തലത്വത്തിന്റെ മുദ്ര നിങ്ങളല്ലോ.
3Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,
3എന്നെ വിധിക്കുന്നവരോടു ഞാന് പറയുന്ന പ്രതിവാദം ഇതാകുന്നു.
4Have we not power to eat and to drink?
4തിന്നുവാനും കുടിപ്പാനും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു അധികാരമില്ലയോ?
5Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
5ശേഷം അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും കര്ത്താവിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും കേഫാവും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ഭാര്യ്യയായോരു സഹോദരിയുമായി സഞ്ചരിപ്പാന് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു അധികാരമില്ലയൊ?
6Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?
6അല്ല, വേല ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാന് എനിക്കും ബര്ന്നബാസിന്നും മാത്രം അധികാരമില്ല എന്നുണ്ടോ?
7Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
7സ്വന്ത ചെലവിന്മേല് യുദ്ധസേവ ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ആര്? മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്റെ ഫലം തിന്നാതിരിക്കുന്നവന് ആര്? ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെ മേയിച്ചു കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ പാല്കൊണ്ടു ഉപജീവിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നവന് ആര്?
8Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
8ഞാന് ഇതു മനുഷ്യരുടെ മര്യ്യാദപ്രകാരമോ പറയുന്നതു? ന്യായപ്രമാണവും ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നില്ലയോ?
9For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
9“മെതിക്കുന്ന കാളെക്കു മുഖക്കൊട്ട കെട്ടരുതു” എന്നു മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; ദൈവം കാളെക്കു വേണ്ടിയോ ചിന്തിക്കുന്നതു?
10Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
10അല്ല, കേവലം നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി പറയുന്നതോ? അതേ, ഉഴുന്നവന് ആശയോടെ ഉഴുകയും മെതിക്കുന്നവന് പതം കിട്ടും എന്നുള്ള ആശയോടെ മെതിക്കയും വേണ്ടതാകയാല് നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതത്രെ.
11If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
11ഞങ്ങള് ആത്മീകമായതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിതെച്ചിട്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഐഹികമായതു കൊയ്താല് വലിയ കാര്യ്യമോ?
12If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
12മറ്റുള്ളവര്ക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല് ഈ അധികാരം ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു എത്ര അധികം? എങ്കിലും ഞങ്ങള് ഈ അധികാരം പ്രയോഗിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നു യാതൊരു വിഘ്നവും വരുത്താതിരിപ്പാന് സകലവും പൊറുക്കുന്നു.
13Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
13ദൈവാലയകര്മ്മങ്ങള് നടത്തുന്നവര് ദൈവാലയംകൊണ്ടു ഉപജീവിക്കുന്നു എന്നും യാഗപീഠത്തിങ്കല് ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യുന്നവര് യാഗപീഠത്തിലെ വഴിപാടുകളില് ഔഹരിക്കാര് ആകുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?
14Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
14അതുപോലെ കര്ത്താവും സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുന്നവര് സുവിശേഷത്താല് ഉപജീവിക്കേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
15But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
15എങ്കിലും ഇതു ഒന്നും ഞാന് പ്രയോഗിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; ഇങ്ങനെ എനിക്കു കിട്ടേണം എന്നുവെച്ചു ഞാന് ഇതു എഴുതുന്നതും അല്ല; ആരെങ്കിലും എന്റെ പ്രശംസ വൃഥാവാക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാള് മരിക്ക തന്നേ എനിക്കു നല്ലതു.
16For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
16ഞാന് സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് എനിക്കു പ്രശംസിപ്പാന് ഒന്നുമില്ല. നിര്ബ്ബന്ധം എന്റെ മേല് കിടക്കുന്നു. ഞാന് സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുന്നില്ല എങ്കില് എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
17For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
17ഞാന് അതു മനഃപൂര്വ്വം നടത്തുന്നു എങ്കില് എനിക്കു പ്രതിഫലം ഉണ്ടു; മനഃപൂര്വ്വമല്ലെങ്കിലും കാര്യ്യം എങ്കല് ഭരമേല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
18What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
18എന്നാല് എന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം എന്തു? സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുമ്പോള് സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തിലുള്ള അധികാരം മുഴുവനും ഉപയോഗിക്കാതെ ഞാന് സുവിശേഷഘോഷണം ചെലവുകൂടാതെ നടത്തുന്നതു തന്നേ.
19For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
19ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാന് കേവലം സ്വതന്ത്രന് എങ്കിലും അധികംപേരെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് എന്നെത്തന്നേ എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ദാസനാക്കി.
20And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
20യെഹൂദന്മാരെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് യെഹൂദന്മാര്ക്കും യെഹൂദനെപ്പോലെ ആയി; ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന് കീഴുള്ളവരെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന് കീഴുള്ളവന് അല്ല എങ്കിലും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന് കീഴുള്ളവര്ക്കും ന്യാപ്രമാണത്തിന് കീഴുള്ളവനെപ്പോലെ ആയി.
21To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
21ദൈവത്തിന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്തവന് ആകാതെ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണമുള്ളവനായിരിക്കെ, ന്യയപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്തവരെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്തവര്ക്കും ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെ ആയി.
22To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
22ബലഹീനന്മാരെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ബലഹീനര്ക്കും ബലഹീനനായി; ഏതുവിധത്തിലും ചിലരെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് എല്ലാവര്ക്കും എല്ലാമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.
23And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
23സുവിശേഷത്തില് ഒരു പങ്കാളിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് സകലവും സുവിശേഷം നിമിത്തം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
24Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
24ഔട്ടക്കളത്തില് ഔടുന്നവര് എല്ലാവരും ഔടുന്നു എങ്കിലും ഒരുവനേ വിരുതു പ്രാപിക്കുന്നുള്ളു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളും പ്രാപിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഔടുവിന് .
25And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
25അങ്കം പൊരുന്നവന് ഒക്കെയും സകലത്തിലും വര്ജ്ജനം ആചരിക്കുന്നു. അതോ, അവര് വാടുന്ന കിരീടവും നാമോ വാടാത്തതും പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.
26I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
26ആകയാല് ഞാന് നിശ്ചയമില്ലാത്തവണ്ണമല്ല ഔടുന്നതു; ആകാശത്തെ കുത്തുന്നതു പോലെയല്ല ഞാന് മുഷ്ടിയുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നതു.
27But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
27മറ്റുള്ളവരോടു പ്രസംഗിച്ചശേഷം ഞാന് തന്നേ കൊള്ളരുതാത്തവനായി പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ ശരീരത്തെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചു അടിമയാക്കുകയത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു.
