1Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
1അവകാശി സര്വ്വത്തിന്നും യജമാനന് എങ്കിലും ശിശുവായിരിക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം ദാസനെക്കാള് ഒട്ടും വിശേഷതയുള്ളവനല്ല,
2But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
2പിതാവു നിശ്ചയിച്ച അവധിയോളം രക്ഷകന്മാര്ക്കും ഗൃഹവിചാരകന്മാര്ക്കും കീഴ്പെട്ടവനത്രേ എന്നു ഞാന് പറയുന്നു.
3Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
3അതുപോലെ നാമും ശിശുക്കള് ആയിരുന്നപ്പോള് ലോകത്തിന്റെ ആദി പാഠങ്ങളിന് കീഴ് അടിമപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
4But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
4എന്നാല് കാലസമ്പൂര്ണ്ണതവന്നപ്പോള് ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനെ സ്ത്രീയില്നിന്നു ജനിച്ചവനായി ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന് കീഴ് ജനിച്ചവനായി നിയോഗിച്ചയച്ചതു
5To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
5അവന് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന് കീഴുള്ളവരെ വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിട്ടു നാം പുത്രത്വം പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.
6And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
6നിങ്ങള് മക്കള് ആകകൊണ്ടു അബ്ബാ പിതാവേ എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്ന സ്വപുത്രന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ ദൈവം നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് അയച്ചു.
7Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
7അങ്ങനെ നീ ഇനി ദാസനല്ല പുത്രനത്രെ; പുത്രനെങ്കിലോ ദൈവഹിതത്താല് അവകാശിയും ആകുന്നു.
8Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
8എന്നാല് അന്നു നിങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തെ അറിയാതെ സ്വഭാവത്താല് ദൈവങ്ങളല്ലാത്തവര്ക്കും അടിമപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
9But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
9ഇപ്പോഴോ ദൈവത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞും വിശേഷാല് ദൈവം നിങ്ങളെ അറിഞ്ഞുമിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങള് പിന്നെയും ബലഹീനവും ദരിദ്രവുമായ ആദിപാഠങ്ങളിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു അവേക്കു പുതുതായി അടിമപ്പെടുവാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?
10Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
10നിങ്ങള് ദിവസങ്ങളും മാസങ്ങളും കാലങ്ങളും ആണ്ടുകളും പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നു.
11I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
11ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചതു വെറുതെയായി എന്നു ഞാന് ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു.
12Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all.
12സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞാന് നിങ്ങളേപ്പോലെ ആകയാല് നിങ്ങളും എന്നെപ്പോലെ ആകുവാന് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങള് എന്നോടു ഒരു അന്യായവും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.
13Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.
13ഞാന് ശരീരത്തിലെ ബലഹീനതനിമിത്തം ഒന്നാമതു നിങ്ങളോടു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിപ്പാന് സംഗതിവന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
14And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
14എന്റെ ശരീരസംബന്ധമായി നിങ്ങള്ക്കുണ്ടായ പരീക്ഷനിമിത്തം നിങ്ങള് നിന്ദയോ വെറുപ്പോ കാണിക്കാതെ ദൈവദൂതനെപ്പോലെ , ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനെപ്പോലെ എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്കയത്രേ ചെയ്തതു.
15Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.
15നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗ്യപ്രശംസ എവിടെ? കഴിയും എങ്കില് നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണു ചൂന്നെടുത്തു എനിക്കു തരുമായിരുന്നു എന്നതിന്നു ഞാന് സാക്ഷി.
16Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
16അങ്ങനെയിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളോടു സത്യം പറകകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ശത്രുവായിപ്പോയോ?
17They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.
17അവര് നിങ്ങളെക്കറിച്ചു എരിവു കാണിക്കുന്നതു ഗുണത്തിന്നായിട്ടല്ല; നിങ്ങളും അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു എരിവു കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് നിങ്ങളെ പുറത്തിട്ടു അടെച്ചുകളവാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കയത്രെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു.
18But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
18ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് മാത്രമല്ല എല്ലായ്പോഴും നല്ല കാര്യത്തില് എരിവു കാണിക്കുന്നതു നന്നു.
19My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
19ക്രിസ്തു നിങ്ങളില് ഉരുവാകുവോളം ഞാന് പിന്നെയും പ്രസവവേദനപ്പെടുന്നവരായ എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ,
20I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.
20ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് ഇരുന്നു എന്റെ ശബ്ദം മാറ്റുവന് കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു വിഷമിക്കുന്നു.
21Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
21ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന് കീഴിരിപ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവരേ, നിങ്ങള് ന്യായപ്രമാണം കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?
22For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
22എന്നോടു പറവിന് . അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഒരുവന് ദാസി പ്രസവിച്ചവന് , ഒരുവന് സ്വതന്ത്ര പ്രസവിച്ചവന് എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
23But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
23ദാസിയുടെ മകന് ജഡപ്രകാരവും സ്വതന്ത്രയുടെ മകനോ വാഗ്ദത്തത്താലും ജനിച്ചിരുന്നു.
24Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
24ഇതു സാദൃശ്യമാകുന്നു. ഈ സ്ത്രീകള് രണ്ടു നിയമങ്ങള് അത്രേ; ഒന്നു സീനായ്മലയില്നിന്നു ഉണ്ടായി അടിമകളെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; അതു ഹാഗര്.
25For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
25ഹാഗര് എന്നുതു അറബിദേശത്തു സീനായ്മലയെക്കുറിക്കുന്നു. അതു ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ യെരൂശലേമിനോടു ഒക്കുന്നു; അതു തന്റെ മക്കളോടുകൂടെ അടിമയിലല്ലോ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു.
26But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
26മീതെയുള്ള യെരൂശലേമോ സ്വതന്ത്രയാകുന്നു. അവള് തന്നേ നമ്മുടെ അമ്മ.
27For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
27“പ്രസവിക്കാത്ത മച്ചിയേ, ആനന്ദിക്ക; നോവുകിട്ടാത്തവളേ, പൊട്ടി ആര്ക്കുംക; ഏകാകിനിയുടെ മക്കള് ഭര്ത്താവുള്ളവളുടെ മക്കളെക്കാള് അധികം” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
28Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
28നാമോ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെപ്പോലെ വാഗ്ദത്തത്താല് ജനിച്ച മക്കള് ആകുന്നു.
29But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
29എന്നാല് അന്നു ജഡപ്രകാരം ജനിച്ചവന് ആത്മപ്രകാരം ജനിച്ചവനെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചതുപോലെ ഇന്നു കാണുന്നു.
30Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
30തിരുവെഴുത്തോ എന്തുപറയുന്നു ദാസിയെയും മകനെയും പുറത്താക്കിക്കളക; ദാസിയുടെ മകന് സ്വതന്ത്രയുടെ മകനോടുകൂടെ അവകാശി ആകയില്ല.
31So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
31അങ്ങനെ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നാം ദാസിയുടെ മക്കളല്ല സ്വതന്ത്രയുടെ മക്കളത്രേ.
