1Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
1അതുകൊണ്ടു വിശുദ്ധ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, സ്വര്ഗ്ഗീയവിളിക്കു ഔഹരിക്കാരായുള്ളോരേ, നാം സ്വീകരിച്ചുപറയുന്ന അപ്പൊസ്തലനും മഹാപുരോഹിതനുമായ യേശുവിനെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുനോക്കുവിന് .
2Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
2മോശെ ദൈവഭവനത്തില് ഒക്കെയും വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നതുപോല യേശുവും തന്നെ നിയമിച്ചാക്കിയവന്നു വിശ്വസ്തന് ആകുന്നു.
3For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
3ഭവനത്തെക്കാളും ഭവനം ചമെച്ചവന്നു അധികം മാനമുള്ളതുപോലെ യേശുവും മോശെയെക്കാള് അധികം മഹത്വത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യന് എന്നു എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
4For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
4ഏതു ഭവനവും ചമെപ്പാന് ഒരാള് വേണം; സര്വ്വവും ചമച്ചവന് ദൈവം തന്നേ.
5And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
5അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തില് ഒക്കെയും മോശെ വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നതു അരുളിച്ചെയ്വാനിരുന്നതിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്ന ഭൃത്യനായിട്ടത്രേ.
6But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
6ക്രിസ്തുവോ അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തിന്നു അധികാരിയായ പുത്രനായിട്ടു തന്നേ; പ്രത്യാശയുടെ ധൈര്യ്യവും പ്രശംസയും നാം അവസാനത്തോളം മുറുകെപ്പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാല് നാം തന്നേ അവന്റെ ഭവനം ആകുന്നു.
7Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
7അതുകൊണ്ടു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ
8Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
8“ഇന്നു നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് മരുഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു പരീക്ഷാദിവസത്തിലെ മത്സരത്തില് എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കരുതു.
9When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
9അവിടെവെച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു നാല്പതു ആണ്ടു എന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ കണ്ടിട്ടും എന്നെ ശോധനചെയ്തു.
10Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
10അതുകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ആ തലമുറയോടു നീരസം ഉണ്ടായി. അവര് എപ്പോഴും തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്ന ഹൃദയമുള്ളവര് എന്നും എന്റെ വഴികളെ അറിയാത്തവര് എന്നും ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു;
11So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
11അവര് എന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയില് പ്രവേശിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തില് സത്യം ചെയ്തു.”
12Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
12സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെ ത്യജിച്ചുകളയാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിശ്വാസമുള്ള ദുഷ്ടഹൃദയം നിങ്ങളില് ആര്ക്കും ഉണ്ടാകാതിരിപ്പാന് നോക്കുവിന് .
13But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
13നിങ്ങള് ആരും പാപത്തിന്റെ ചതിയാല് കഠിനപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു “ഇന്നു” എന്നു പറയുന്നേടത്തോളം നാള്തോറും അന്യോന്യം പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .
14For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
14ആദ്യവിശ്വാസം അവസാനത്തോളം മുറുകെപ്പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാല് നാം ക്രിസ്തുവില് പങ്കാളികളായിത്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
15While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
15“ഇന്നു നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് മത്സരത്തില് എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ കഠിനമാക്കരുതു” എന്നു പറയുന്നതില് ആരാകുന്നു
16For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
16കേട്ടിട്ടു മത്സരിച്ചവര്? മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു മോശെ മുഖാന്തരം പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നവര് എല്ലാവരുമല്ലോ.
17But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
17നാല്പതു ആണ്ടു ആരോടു ക്രുദ്ധിച്ചു? പാപം ചെയ്തവരോടല്ലയോ?
18And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
18അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങള് മരുഭൂമിയില് വീണുപോയി. എന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയില് പ്രവേശിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ആണയിട്ടതു അനുസരണംകെട്ടവരോടല്ലാതെ പിന്നെ ആരോടാകുന്നു?
19So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
19ഇങ്ങനെ അവിശ്വാസം നിമിത്തം അവര്ക്കും പ്രവേശിപ്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു നാം കാണുന്നു.
