1Then Job answered and said,
1അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്‍
2I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all.
2ഞാന്‍ ഈവക പലതും കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു; നിങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാവരും വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ആശ്വാസകന്മാര്‍.
3Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldeneth thee that thou answerest?
3വ്യര്‍ത്ഥവാക്കുകള്‍ക്കു അവസാനം ഉണ്ടാകുമോ? അല്ല, പ്രതിവാദിപ്പാന്‍ നിന്നെ ചൊടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?
4I also could speak as ye do: if your soul were in my soul's stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you.
4നിങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ ഞാനും സംസാരിക്കാം; എനിക്കുള്ള അനുഭവം നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ എനിക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ മൊഴികളെ യോജിപ്പിക്കയും നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു തല കുലുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാമായിരുന്നു.
5But I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should asswage your grief.
5ഞാന്‍ വായികൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തുകയും അധരസാന്ത്വനംകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.
6Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and though I forbear, what am I eased?
6ഞാന്‍ സംസാരിച്ചാലും എന്റെ വേദന ശമിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഞാന്‍ അടങ്ങിയിരുന്നാലും എനിക്കെന്തു ആശ്വാസമുള്ളു?
7But now he hath made me weary: thou hast made desolate all my company.
7ഇപ്പോഴോ അവന്‍ എന്നെ ക്ഷീണിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്റെ ബന്ധുവര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തെയൊക്കെയും ശൂന്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
8And thou hast filled me with wrinkles, which is a witness against me: and my leanness rising up in me beareth witness to my face.
8നീ എന്നെ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു എന്റെ നേരെ സാക്ഷ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ മെലിച്ചല്‍ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായെഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്റെ മുഖത്തു നോക്കി സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു.
9He teareth me in his wrath, who hateth me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; mine enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me.
9അവന്‍ കോപത്തില്‍ എന്നെ കീറി ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നു; അവന്‍ എന്റെ നേരെ പല്ലു കടിക്കുന്നു; ശത്രു എന്റെ നേരെ കണ്ണു കൂര്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നു.
10They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves together against me.
10അവര്‍ എന്റെ നേരെ വായ്പിളര്‍ക്കുംന്നു; നിന്ദയോടെ അവര്‍ എന്റെ ചെകിട്ടത്തടിക്കുന്നു; അവര്‍ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി കൂട്ടം കൂടുന്നു.
11God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.
11ദൈവം എന്നെ അഭക്തന്റെ പക്കല്‍ ഏല്പിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്‍ എന്നെ അകപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
12I was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.
12ഞാന്‍ സ്വൈരമായി വസിച്ചിരുന്നു; അവനോ എന്നെ ചതെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവന്‍ എന്നെ പിടരിക്കു പിടിച്ചു തകര്‍ത്തുകളഞ്ഞു; എന്നെ തനിക്കു ലാക്കാക്കി നിര്‍ത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
13His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.
13അവന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങള്‍ എന്റെ ചുറ്റും വീഴുന്നു; അവന്‍ ആദരിക്കാതെ എന്റെ അന്തര്‍ഭാഗങ്ങളെ പിളര്‍ക്കുംന്നു; എന്റെ പിത്തത്തെ നിലത്തു ഒഴിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.
14He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant.
14അവന്‍ എന്നെ ഇടിച്ചിടിച്ചു തകര്‍ക്കുംന്നു; മല്ലനെപ്പോലെ എന്റെ നേരെ പായുന്നു.
15I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and defiled my horn in the dust.
15ഞാന്‍ രട്ടു എന്റെ ത്വക്കിന്മേല്‍ കൂട്ടിത്തുന്നി, എന്റെ കൊമ്പിനെ പൊടിയില്‍ ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
16My face is foul with weeping, and on my eyelids is the shadow of death;
16കരഞ്ഞു കരഞ്ഞു എന്റെ മുഖം ചുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേല്‍ അന്ധതമസ്സു കിടക്കുന്നു.
17Not for any injustice in mine hands: also my prayer is pure.
17എങ്കിലും സാഹസം എന്റെ കൈകളില്‍ ഇല്ല. എന്റെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥന നിര്‍മ്മലമത്രേ.
18O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place.
18അയ്യോ ഭൂമിയേ, എന്റെ രക്തം മൂടരുതേ; എന്റെ നിലവിളി എങ്ങും തടഞ്ഞുപോകരുതേ.
19Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.
19ഇപ്പോഴും എന്റെ സാക്ഷി സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തിലും എന്റെ ജാമ്യക്കാരന്‍ ഉയരത്തിലും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
20My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God.
20എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാര്‍ എന്നെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണോ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു കണ്ണുനീര്‍ പൊഴിക്കുന്നു.
21O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
21അവന്‍ മനുഷ്യന്നു വേണ്ടി ദൈവത്തോടും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്നു വേണ്ടി അവന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടും ന്യായവാദം കഴിക്കും.
22When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return.
22ചില ആണ്ടു കഴിയുമ്പോഴേക്കു ഞാന്‍ മടങ്ങിവരാത്ത പാതെക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരുമല്ലോ.
