1Then Job answered and said,
1അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്‍
2Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
2ഇന്നും എന്റെ സങ്കടം കൊടിയതാകുന്നു; അവന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ ഞരക്കത്തിന്മേല്‍ ഭാരമാകുന്നു.
3Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!
3അവനെ എവിടെ കാണുമെന്നറിഞ്ഞെങ്കില്‍ കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ ന്യായാസനത്തിങ്കല്‍ ഞാന്‍ ചെല്ലുമായിരുന്നു.
4I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
4ഞാന്‍ അവന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍ എന്റെ ന്യായം വിവരിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; ന്യായവാദം കോരിച്ചൊരിയുമായിരുന്നു.
5I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me.
5അവന്റെ ഉത്തരം അറിയാമായിരുന്നു; അവന്‍ എന്തു പറയുമെന്നും ഗ്രഹിക്കാമായിരുന്നു.
6Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
6അവന്‍ ബലാധിക്യത്തോടെ എന്നോടു വ്യവഹരിക്കുമോ? ഇല്ല; അവന്‍ എന്നെ ആദരിക്കേയുള്ളു.
7There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
7അവിടെ നേരുള്ളവന്‍ അവനോടു വാദിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ സദാകാലത്തേക്കും എന്റെ ന്യായാധിപന്റെ കയ്യില്‍നിന്നു രക്ഷപ്പെടുമായിരുന്നു.
8Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
8ഞാന്‍ കിഴക്കോട്ടു ചെന്നാല്‍ അവന്‍ അവിടെ ഇല്ല; പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു ചെന്നാല്‍ അവനെ കാണുകയില്ല.
9On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
9വടക്കു അവന്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കയില്‍ നോക്കീട്ടു അവനെ കാണുന്നില്ല; തെക്കോട്ടു അവന്‍ തിരിയുന്നു; അവനെ കാണുന്നില്ലതാനും.
10But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
10എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ നടക്കുന്ന വഴി അവന്‍ അറിയുന്നു; എന്നെ ശോധന കഴിച്ചാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ പൊന്നുപോലെ പുറത്തു വരും.
11My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
11എന്റെ കാലടി അവന്റെ ചുവടു തുടര്‍ന്നു ചെല്ലുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ വിട്ടുമാറാതെ അവന്റെ വഴി പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നു.
12Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
12ഞാന്‍ അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങളുടെ കല്പന വിട്ടു പിന്മാറീട്ടില്ല; അവന്റെ വായലിലെ വചനങ്ങളെ എന്റെ ആഹാരത്തെക്കാള്‍ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
13But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
13അവനോ അനന്യന്‍ ; അവനെ തടുക്കുന്നതു ആര്‍? തിരുവുള്ളത്തിന്റെ താല്പര്യം അവന്‍ അനുഷ്ഠിക്കും.
14For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
14എനിക്കു നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു അവന്‍ നിവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള പലതും അവന്റെ പക്കല്‍ ഉണ്ടു.
15Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.
15അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ അവന്റെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യത്തിങ്കല്‍ ഭ്രമിക്കുന്നു; ഔര്‍ത്തുനോക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു.
16For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:
16ദൈവം എനിക്കു ധൈര്യക്ഷയം വരുത്തി, സര്‍വ്വശക്തന്‍ എന്നെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
17Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face.
17ഞാന്‍ പരവശനായിരിക്കുന്നതു അന്ധകാരം നിമിത്തമല്ല, കൂരിരുട്ടു എന്റെ മുഖത്തെ മൂടുന്നതുകൊണ്ടുമല്ല.
