1When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
1യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന്‍ . യിസ്രായേല്‍ മിസ്രയീമില്‍നിന്നും യാക്കോബിന്‍ ഗൃഹം അന്യഭാഷയുള്ള ജാതിയുടെ ഇടയില്‍നിന്നും പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള്‍
2Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
2യെഹൂദാ അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരവും യിസ്രായേല്‍ അവന്റെ ആധിപത്യവുമായി തീര്‍ന്നു.
3The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
3സമുദ്രം കണ്ടു ഔടി; യോര്‍ദ്ദാന്‍ പിന്‍ വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
4The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
4പര്‍വ്വതങ്ങള്‍ മുട്ടാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും കുന്നുകള്‍ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും തുള്ളി.
5What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
5സമുദ്രമേ, നീ ഔടുന്നതെന്തു? യോര്‍ദ്ദാനേ, നീ പിന്‍ വാങ്ങുന്നതെന്തു?
6Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
6പര്‍വ്വതങ്ങളേ; നിങ്ങള്‍ മുട്ടാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും കുന്നുകളേ, നിങ്ങള്‍ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും തുള്ളുന്നതു എന്തു.
7Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
7ഭൂമിയേ, നീ കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില്‍, യാക്കോബിന്‍ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില്‍ വിറെക്ക.
8Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
8അവന്‍ പാറയെ ജലതടാകവും തീക്കല്ലിനെ നീരുറവും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
