1When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
1ആരോഹണഗീതം
2Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
2യഹോവ സീയോന്റെ പ്രവാസികളെ മടക്കിവരുത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ സ്വപ്നം കാണുന്നവരെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.
3The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
3അന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ വായില്‍ ചിരിയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാവിന്മേല്‍ ആര്‍പ്പും നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. യഹോവ അവരില്‍ വങ്കാര്യങ്ങളെ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില്‍ അന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
4Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
4യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളില്‍ വങ്കാര്യങ്ങളെ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള്‍ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.
5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
5യഹോവേ, തെക്കെനാട്ടിലെ തോടുകളെപ്പോലെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസികളെ മടക്കിവരുത്തേണമേ.
6He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
6കണ്ണുനീരോടെ വിതെക്കുന്നവര്‍ ആര്‍പ്പോടെ കൊയ്യും.
7വിത്തു ചുമന്നു കരഞ്ഞും വിതെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്നു; കറ്റ ചുമന്നും ആര്‍ത്തുംകൊണ്ടു വരുന്നു.
