¹At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.

¹“गडगडाट व वीजा ह्यांची मला भिती वाटते. तेव्हा माझ्या ह्दयाची धडथड वाढते.

²Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

²प्रत्येक जण लक्षपूर्वक ऐका! देवाचा आवाज गडगडाटासारखा वाटतो. देवाच्या मुखातून येणारा गडगडाटासारखा आवाज ऐका.

³He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

³देव त्याच्या विजेला सर्व आकाशात चमकण्यासाठी पाठवतो. ती सर्व पृथ्वीभर चमकते.

⁴After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

⁴वीज चमकते तेव्हा देव गडगडाटी आवाज काढतो. देव त्याच्या अद्भुत आवाजात गर्जतो. वीज चमकल्यानंतर देवाची गर्जना ऐकू येते.

⁵God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

⁵“देवाचा गडगडाटी आवाज अद्भुत आहे. देव आपल्याला न काळणाऱ्या महान गोष्टी करत असतो.

⁶For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

⁶देव ‘हिमाला पृथ्वीवर पडण्याची आज्ञा करतो.’ देव ‘पावसाला पृथ्वीवर जोरात पड असे सांगतो.’

⁷He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

⁷देवाने निर्माण केलेल्या सर्व लोकांना तो काय करु शकतो हे कळावे म्हणून देव या गोष्टी करतो हा त्याचा पुरावा आहे.

⁸Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

⁸पशू त्यांच्या घरकुलात जातात आणि तेथेच राहतात.

⁹Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.

⁹दक्षिणेकडून चक्रीवादळ येते. उत्तरेकडून थंड वारे येतात.

¹⁰By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

¹⁰देवाच्या नि:श्वासाने बर्फ होते आणि समुद्र गोठतो.

¹¹Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

¹¹देव ढगांना पाण्याने भरतो आणि तो ते पसरवतो.

¹²And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

¹²तो ढगांना सर्व पृथ्वीभर पसरण्याची आज्ञा करतो. देव जी आज्ञा देती ती ढग पाळतात.

¹³He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

¹³देव लोकांना शिक्षा करण्यासाठी ढग आणतो, पूर आणतो किंवा त्याचे प्रेम व्यक्त करण्यासाठी पाणी आणतो.

¹⁴Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

¹⁴“ईयोब, एक क्षणभर थांब आणि लक्ष दे. थांब आणि देव ज्या अद्भुत गोष्टी करतो त्यांचा विचार कर.

¹⁵Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

¹⁵ईयोब, देव ढगांवर आपला अधिकार कसा गाजवतो ते तुला माहीत आहे का? तो विजेला कसे चमकावितो ते तुला माहीत आहे का?

¹⁶Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

¹⁶ढग आकाशात कसे तरंगतात ते तुला कळते का? देव ज्या अद्भुत गोष्टी करतो त्याचे ढग हे केवळ एक उदाहरण आहे. आणि देवाला त्याबद्दल सारे माहीत आहे.

¹⁷How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

¹⁷परंतु ईयोब तुला या गोष्टी माहीत नाहीत. तुला फक्त एवढेच माहीत आहे की दक्षिणेकडून गरम वारे वाहतात तेव्हा तुला घाम येतो, तुझे कपडे अंगाला चिकटतात आणि सगळे काही स्तब्ध असते.

¹⁸Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

¹⁸ईयोब, तू देवाला आकाश पसरवण्यात आणि ते आरशाप्रमाणे करण्यात मदत करु शकशील का?

¹⁹Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

¹⁹“ईयोब, देवाला आम्ही काय सांगायचे ते तू आम्हांला सांग. काय बोलावे ते आम्हाला कळत नाही कारण आम्हाला जास्त माहिती नाही.

²⁰Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

²⁰मला देवाशी बोलायचे आहे असे मी म्हणणार नाही. तसे म्हणणे म्हणजे स्वत:चा नाश करुन घेणे आहे.

²¹And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

²¹माणूस सूर्याकडे बघू शकत नाही. वाऱ्याने ढग पळवून लावले की तो फार तेजस्वी आणि चकचकीत दिसतो.

²²Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.

²²आणि देवसुध्दा तसाच आहे. देवाची सुवर्णप्रभा दक्षिणेकडील पर्वतावरुन चमकते. देवाच्या भोवती तेजोवलय असते.

²³Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

²³तो सर्वशक्तिमान देव महान आहे. आपण त्याला समजू शकत नाही. तो सामर्थ्यवान आहे. परंतु तो आपल्याशी चांगला आणि न्यायाने वागतो. देवाला आपल्याला त्रास द्यायची इच्छा नसते.

²⁴Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.

²⁴म्हणूनच लोक देवाला मान देतात. परंतु देव आपल्या शहाणपणाचा अभिमान बाळगणाऱ्या लोकांना मान देत नाही.”
