¹Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

¹देवा, माझे रक्षण कर कारण मी तुझ्यावर अवलंबून आहे.

²O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

²मी परमेश्वराला म्हणालो “परमेश्वरा, तू माझा प्रभु आहेस माझ्याकडे असलेली प्रत्येक चांगली गोष्ट मला तुझ्याकडून मिळाली आहे”

³But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

³परमेश्वर त्याच्या पृथ्वीवरील भक्तांसाठी अनेक अद्भुत गोष्टी करतो. परमेश्वर त्या लोकांवर खरोखरच प्रेम करतो हे तो दाखवतो.

⁴Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

⁴परंतु जे लोक उपासनेसाठी दुसऱ्या देवाकडे वळतात त्यांना दु:ख भोगावे लागते. ते त्या मूर्तीना रक्ताची भेट देतात. मी त्यात सहभागी होणार नाही. मी त्या मूर्तींची नावेसुध्दा घेणार नाही.

⁵The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

⁵जर त्या माणसाने कोणाला पैसे दिले असतील तर तो कर्जावर व्याज आकारत नाही. आणि तो निरपराध लोकांना त्रास देण्यासाठी पैसे घेणार नाही. जर कोणी त्या चांगल्या माणसाप्रमाणे वागला तर तो नेहमी देवाच्या जवळ राहील. नावाचे स्तोत्र

⁶The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

⁶माझा वाटा फारच अद्भूत आहे माझे वतन सुंदर आहे.

⁷I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

⁷मी परमेश्वराची स्तुती करतो कारण त्याने मला चांगले शिकवले रात्रीच्या वेळी मला अगदी आतल्या गाभ्यातून आज्ञा मिळाल्या.

⁸I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁸मी परमेश्वराला नेहमी माझ्या पुढे ठेवतो आणि मी त्याची उजवी बाजू कधीही सोडणार नाही.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

⁹त्यामुळे माझे ह्दय आणि माझा आत्मा आनंदीत राहील माझे शरीरही सुरक्षित असेल.

¹⁰For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

¹⁰का? कारण परमेश्वरा, तू माझ्या आत्म्याला मृत्युलोकात राहू देणार नाहीस. तुझ्याशी इमानदार असणाऱ्याला तू थडग्यात सडू देणार नाहीस.

¹¹Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

¹¹तू मला नीट कसे जगावे ते शिकवशील परमेश्वरा, केवळ तुझ्या सान्निध्यात असणेही संपूर्ण समाधान देणारे असेल. तुझ्या उजव्या बाजूला राहण्याने कायमचे समाधान लाभेल.
