¹And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.

¹ထိုကာလ၌ လေဝိအမျိုးသားတယောက်သည်၊ လေဝိအမျိုးသမီးနှင့် အိမ်ထောင်ဘက်ပြု၍၊

²And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.

²မိန်းမသည် ပဋိသန္ဓေယူသဖြင့် သားယောက်ျားကို ဘွားမြင်လေ၏။ ထိုသားသည် အဆင်းလှကြောင်းကို အမိမြင်လျှင်၊ သုံးလပတ်လုံး ဖွက်ထားလေ၏။

³And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.

³နောက်တဖန် ဖွက်၍မထားနိုင်သောအခါ၊ ဂမာကိုင်းပင်ဖြင့် ရက်သောပုခက်ကိုယူ၍ ရေညှိနှင့်သစ်စေး ဖြင့် လူးပြီးလျှင်၊ ပုခက်ထဲတွင် သူငယ်ကိုထည့်၍ မြစ်ကမ်းနားကိုင်းတော၌ ထားလေ၏။

⁴And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

⁴သူငယ်အစ်မလည်း အဘယ်သို့ဖြစ်မည်ကို သိမြင်ခြင်းငှါ အဝေး၌ ရပ်နေလေ၏။

⁵And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

⁵ဖာရောဘုရင်၏သမီးတော်သည် ရေချိုးခြင်းငှါ ဆင်းလာ၍၊ ကျွန်မတို့နှင့် မြစ်ကမ်းနား၌ လှည့်လည်စဉ်၊ ကိုင်းတော၌ ပုခက်ကိုမြင်၍ ဆောင်ယူစေခြင်းငှါ ကျွန်မ တယောက်ကို စေလွှတ်လေ၏။

⁶And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.

⁶ပုခက်ဖုံးကို ဖွင့်သောအခါ၊ ငိုလျက်နေသော သူငယ်ကိုမြင်၍၊ သနားသောစိတ်ရှိလျှင်၊ ဤသူငယ်သည် ဟေဗြဲအမျိုးဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်ဟု ဆိုပြီးသော်၊

⁷Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?

⁷သူငယ်၏အစ်မက၊ ကိုယ်တော်အတွက် သူငယ်ကို ထိန်းရသော ဟေဗြဲအထိန်းကို ကျွန်မသွား၍ ခေါ်ရ ပါမည်လောဟု ဖာရောဘုရင်၏ သမီးတော်အား မေးလျှောက်၍၊

⁸And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.

⁸မင်းသမီးက သွားလော့ဟု အခွင့်ပေးလျှင်၊ မိန်းမငယ်သွား၍ သူငယ်၏အမိကိုခေါ်လေ၏။

⁹And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

⁹ဖာရောဘုရင်၏သမီးတော်က၊ ဤသူငယ်ကို ယူသွား၍ ငါ့ဘို့ ထိန်းလော။ အခကို ငါပေးမည်ဟု မှာထားသည်အတိုင်း၊ ထိုမိန်းမသည် သူငယ်ကို ယူသွား၍ ထိန်းလေ၏။

¹⁰And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

¹⁰သူငယ်ကြီးပွားသောအခါ၊ ဖာရောဘုရင်၏ သမီးတော်ထံသို့ ပို့ဆောင်၍ မင်းသမီးသည် သားအရာ၌ ခန့်ထားလျက်၊ မောရှအမည်ဖြင့် မှည့်၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ရေထဲကငါနှုတ်ယူသည်ဟု ဆိုသတည်း။

¹¹And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

¹¹မောရှေသည် ကြီးသောအခါ၊ မိမိအမျိုးသားချင်းတို့ရှိရာသို့ သွား၍ သူတို့အမှုထမ်းရသောအခြင်း အရာတို့ကို ကြည့်ရှုလေ၏။ မိမိအမျိုးသားဟေဗြဲ လူတယောက်ကို၊ အဲဂုတ္တုလူရိုက်သည်ကိုမြင်လျှင်၊

¹²And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

¹²ပတ်လည်ကြည့်ရှု၍ အဘယ်သူမျှမရှိသည်ကို သိသောအခါ၊ အဲဂုတ္တုလူကိုသတ်၍ သဲထဲ၌ မြှုပ်ထားလေ ၏။

¹³And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?

¹³နက်ဖြန်နေ့၌ ထွက်ပြန်သော်၊ ဟေဗြဲလူနှစ်ယောက်တို့သည် အချင်းချင်းသတ်ကြသည်ကို မြင်လျှင်၊ သင်သည် သင်၏အပေါင်းအဘော်ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် ရိုက်သနည်းဟု ညှဉ်းဆဲသောသူအား မေးသည်ရှိသော်၊

¹⁴And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

¹⁴ထိုသူက၊ အဘယ်သူသည် သင့်ကို ငါတို့အပေါ်မှာ အကဲအမှူး တရားသူကြီးအရာ၌ ခန့်ထားသနည်း။ အဲဂုတ္တုလူကို သတ်သကဲ့သို့ ငါ့ကို သတ်လိုသလောဟု ပြန်ဆို၏။ ထိုအခါ မောရှေသည် မိမိပြုသောအမှု ထင်ရှားပြီဟု သိ၍ကြောက်လေ၏။

¹⁵Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

¹⁵ထိုသိတင်းကို ဖါရောဘုရင်ကြားသောအခါ၊ မောရှေကို သတ်ခြင်းငှါ ရှာကြံလေ၏။ မောရှေသည် ဖါရောဘုရင်ထံမှ ထွက်ပြေး၍၊ မိဒျန်ပြည်သို့ ရောက်လျှင်၊ ရေတွင်းနားမှာ ထိုင်၍နားနေလေ၏။

¹⁶Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.

¹⁶ထိုအခါ မိဒျန်ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်၏ သမီးညီအစ်မ ခုနစ်ယောက်တို့သည်၊ မိမိတို့အဘ၏ သိုးဆိတ်များကို ရေတိုက်ခြင်းငှါလာ၍ ရေခပ်ပြီးလျှင်၊ ရေသောက်ခွက်တို့၌ လောင်းကြ၏။

¹⁷And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

¹⁷သိုးထိန်းအချို့တို့လည်း လာ၍ သိုးဆိတ်များကို မောင်းကြ၏။ ထိုအခါ မောရှေသည်ထ၍ ထိုမိန်းမတို့ဘက်၌နေလျက်၊ သိုးဆိတ်များကို ရေတိုက်လေ၏။

¹⁸And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?

¹⁸ထိုမိန်းမတို့သည် အဘရွေလထံသို့ ရောက်ကြသော်၊ အဘက အဘယ်ကြောင့် ယနေ့အလျင်အမြန် ရောက်လာရကြသနည်းဟု မေးလေ၏။

¹⁹And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

¹⁹သူတို့ကလည်း၊ အဲဂုတ္တုလူတယောက်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို သိုးထိန်းတို့လက်မှ ကယ်နှုတ်၍၊ ရေ လိုသမျှကို ခပ်သဖြင့်၊ သိုးဆိတ်များကို ရေတိုက်ပါသည်ဟု ပြန်ပြော၏။

²⁰And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

²⁰အဘကလည်း၊ ထိုသူသည် အဘယ်မှာရှိသနည်း။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် သူ့ကိုပစ်ထားခဲ့သနည်း။ အစာ စားစေခြင်းငှါ သူ့ကိုခေါ်ချေကြဟု ဆိုလေ၏။

²¹And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.

²¹မောရှေသည် ထိုသူထံမှာနေ၍ ပျော်မွေ့သဖြင့်၊ သမီးဇိပေါရကို မောရှေအား ထိမ်းမြားပေးစားလေ၏။

²²And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.

²²ထိုမိန်းမဘွားသောသားကို ဂေရရှုံအမည်ဖြင့် မှည့်၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည်တကျွန်းတနိုင်ငံ၌ ဧည့်သည်အာဂန္တုဖြစ်ရပြီဟုဆိုသတည်း။

²³And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

²³ကာလအင်တန်ကြာပြီးမှ၊ အဲဂုတ္တုရှင်ဘုရင် အနိစ္စရောက်လေ၏။ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့လည်း အစေကျွန်ခံရသောကြောင့် ညည်းတွားငိုကြွေးကြ၏။ ထိုသို့ အစေကျွန်ခံ၍ငိုကြွေးသော အသံသည် ဘုရား သခင်ထံတော်သို့ တက်ရောက်လေ၏။

²⁴And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

²⁴သူတို့ ညည်းတွားမြည်တမ်းခြင်း အသံကို ဘုရားသခင်ကြားတော်မူလျှင်၊ အာဗြဟံ၊ ဣဇာက်၊ ယာကုပ်နှင့် ပြုခဲ့ဘူးသောပဋိညာဉ်ကို အောက်မေ့တော်မူ၏။

²⁵And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

²⁵ဘုရားသခင်သည်လည်း၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ကို ကြည့်ရှု၍ သူတို့အမှုကို ဆင်ခြင်တော်မူ၏။
