¹For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

¹မင်းကြီးများကို လုပ်ကြံရာမှ ပြန်လာသော အာဗြဟံကို ခရီးဦးကြိုပြု၍ ကောင်းကြီးပေးပြီးလျှင်၊

²To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

²အာဗြဟံလှူသောလက်ရဥစ္စာရှိသမျှကို ဆယ်ဘို့တဘို့ခံယူသော ထိုရှာလင်မင်းကြီးတည်းဟူသော အမြင့် ဆုံးသော ဘုရားသခင်၏ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် မေလခိဇေဒက်သည်၊ နာမရင်းအနက်အားဖြင့် တရားမင်း၊ ထိုမှ တပါး၊ ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်းမင်းဟုဆိုလိုသော ရှာလင်မင်း ဖြစ်လျက်၊

³Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

³အဘမရှိ၊ အမိမရှိ၊ ရှေးမျိုးစဉ်မရှိ၊ အသက် အပိုင်းအခြားမရှိဘဲ၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားတော်နှင့် တူ၍၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အရာ၌ အစဉ်အမြဲတည်၏။

⁴Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

⁴အမျိုး၏အဘအာဗြဟံသည်၊ လက်ရဥစ္စာများကို ဆယ်ဘို့တဘို့လှူ၍ အလှူခံသောထိုမင်းသည် အဘယ်မျှ လောက်ကြီးမြတ်သည်ကို ဆင်ခြင်ကြလော့။

⁵And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

⁵ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အရာကိုခံသော လေဝိသားတို့သည် အာဗြဟံအမျိုးဖြစ်သောသူတည်းဟူသော၊ မိမိတို့ ညီအစ်ကိုများလက်မှ ပညတ်တရားအတိုင်း ဆယ်ဘို့တဘို့ကို ခံရသော အခွင့်ရှိကြ၏။

⁶But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

⁶သူတို့ အမျိုးမဟုတ်သော ထိုမင်းမူကား၊ အာဗြဟံ၏ လက်မှ ဆယ်ဘို့တဘို့ကို ခံလေ၏။ ဂတိတော် တို့ကိုခံရသော သူကိုလည်း ကောင်းချီးပေးလေ၏။

⁷And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.

⁷ကြီးသောသူသည် ငယ်သောသူကို ကောင်းကြီး ပေးတတ်သည်ကို ငြင်းခုံဘွယ်မရှိ။

⁸And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

⁸ထိုမှတပါး၊ သေတတ်သောသူတို့သည် ယခုအခါ ဆယ်ဘို့တဘို့ကို ခံလေ့ရှိ၏။ ထိုအခါမူကား အသက်ရှင် သည်ဟု သက်သေခံခြင်းကို ရသောသူသည် ဆယ်ဘို့တဘို့ကိုခံရ၏။

⁹And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

⁹ထိုမှတပါး၊ ဆယ်ဘို့တဘို့ကိုခံတတ်သော လေဝိသည် အာဗြဟံအားဖြင့် ဆယ်ဘို့တဘို့ကို ပေးပြီဟု ဆိုစရာ အခွင့်ရှိ၏။

¹⁰For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

¹⁰အကြောင်းမူကား၊ မေလခိဇေဒက်သည် အာဗြဟံကိုတွေ့သောအခါ၊ လေဝိသည် မိမိအဘ၏ ကိုယ်၌ရှိသတည်း။

¹¹If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

¹¹တနည်းကား၊ လေဝိမှဆင်းသက်သော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အမျိုးနှင့် စပ်ဆိုင်လျက်လူများတို့သည် ပညတ်တရားတော်ကို ခံကြသောကြောင့်၊ ထိုအမျိုးအားဖြင့် စုံလင်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်နိုင်သည်မှန်လျှင်၊ အခြား သော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်သည်၊ အာရုန်နည်းတူ မခေါ်ဝေါ်ဘဲ၊ မေလခိဇေဒက်နည်းတူ ပေါ်ထွန်းစရာအကြောင်း အဘယ်သို့ရှိသေးသနည်း။

¹²For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

¹²ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အမျိုးသည် ပြောင်းလဲလျှင်၊ ပညတ်တရားသည် မပြောင်းလဲဘဲမနေနိုင်ရာ။

¹³For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

¹³ထိုဗျာဒိတ်တော်ကို ခံရသောသူသည်၊ ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ဝတ်ကို တယောက်မျှမပြုရသောအမျိုးနှင့် စပ်ဆိုင် ပေ၏။

¹⁴For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

¹⁴အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါတို့သခင်သည် ယုဒအမျိုးထဲ၌ ပေါ်ထွန်းသည်ဟု ထင်ရှားလျက်ရှိ၏။ ထိုအမျိုး သည် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အရာနှင့် စပ်ဆိုင်သည်ဟုမောရှေသည် တခွန်းကိုမျှမပြော။

¹⁵And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

¹⁵ထိုမှတပါး၊ မေလခိဇေဒက်နည်းတူ အခြားသော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်သည် ပေါ်ထွန်းသည်မှန်လျှင်၊ ယဇ် ပုရောဟိတ်အမျိုး ပြောင်းလဲပြီဟု သာ၍ထင်ရှား၏။

¹⁶Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

¹⁶ထိုယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်သည် ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာနှင့် စပ်ဆိုင်သော တရားအတိုင်း ခန့်ထားလျက်ရှိသည်မဟုတ်။ ထာဝရအသက်၏ တန်ခိုးအာနုဘော်အတိုင်း ခန့်ထားလျက်ရှိသတည်း။

¹⁷For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

¹⁷အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်သည် မေလခိဇေဒက်နည်းတူ၊ ထာဝရ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်ဖြစ်သည်ဟု သက်သေ ခံတော်မူသတည်း။

¹⁸For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

¹⁸ပညတ်တရားသည် အဘယ်သူကိုမျှ စုံလင်ခြင်းသို့ မပို့နိုင်သည် ဖြစ်၍၊

¹⁹For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

¹⁹ရှေးပညတ်တရားဟောင်းသည်၊ အားမရှိ၊ အကျိုးကို မပေးနိုင်သောကြောင့်၊ ပယ်ရှင်းခြင်းသို့ ရောက် ရ၏။ သို့သော်လည်း၊ သာ၍မြတ်သော မြော်လင့်ခြင်းအခွင့်သည် နေရာကျ၏။ ထိုမြော်လင့်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် ငါတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင့်အထံတော်သို့ တိုးဝင်ချဉ်းကပ်ရကြ၏။

²⁰And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

²⁰ထိုသူတို့သည် အကျိန်တော်မရှိဘဲ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အရာကို ရကြ၏။

²¹(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

²¹ယေရှုမူကား၊ အကျိန်တော်မရှိဘဲ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အရာကိုမရ၊ ထာဝရဘုရားက၊ သင်သည် မေလခိ ဇေဒက်နည်းတူ ထာဝရယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်ဖြစ်သည်ဟု ကျိန်ဆို၍၊ နောက်တဖန် စိတ်ပြောင်းလဲခြင်းရှိတော် မမူသည်နှင့်အညီ၊ ယေရှုသည် အကျိန်တော်ကိုခံ၍ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အရာကို ရသည်အတိုင်း၊

²²By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

²²သာ၍မြတ်သော ပဋိညာဉ်တရား၏ အာမခံဖြစ်၏။

²³And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

²³ထိုသူတို့သည်လည်း သေရသောကြောင့် အစဉ်မတည်နိုင်သည် ဖြစ်၍ အများရှိရကြ၏။

²⁴But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

²⁴ယေရှုမူကား၊ နိစ္စထာဝရတည်သောကြောင့် မပြောင်းမလဲသော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အရာ၌ ခန့်ထား လျက်ရှိ၏။

²⁵Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

²⁵ထိုကြောင့်၊ အကြင်သူတို့သည် ယေရှုအားဖြင့် ဘုရားသခင့်အထံတော်သို့ ချဉ်းကပ်ကြ၏၊ ထိုသူတို့၏ အမှုကို ကိုယ်တော်သည် စောင့်လျက်၊ ကာလအစဉ် အသက်ရှင်သောကြောင့်၊ သူတို့ကို အစဉ်ကယ်တင်ခြင်း ငှါ တတ်နိုင်တော်မူ၏။

²⁶For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

²⁶ထိုသို့သော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်းသည် သန့်ရှင်းစင်ကြယ်၍ အညစ်အကြေးနှင့် ကင်းလွတ်လျက် အပြစ်ရှိသော သူတို့နှင့်မဆက်ဆံ၊ ကောင်းကင်သားအပေါင်းတို့ထက် မြင့်မြတ်သောသူဖြစ်၍၊ ငါတို့နှင့် တော်သင့်တော်မူ၏။

²⁷Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

²⁷အခြားသော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်းတို့သည် ကိုယ်အပြစ်ကြောင့်၎င်း၊ လူများအပြစ်ကြောင့်၎င်း၊ နေ့တိုင်း ယဇ်ပူဇော်ရသကဲ့သို့၊ ထိုသခင်သည် ယဇ်ပူဇော်စရာအကြောင်းမရှိ၊ အဘယ်ကြောင့်နည်းဟူမူကား၊ မိမိ ကိုယ်ကိုတခါတည်း ယဇ်ပူဇော်၍ ထိုအမှုကို ပြီးစီးတော်မူပြီ။

²⁸For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

²⁸ပညတ်တရားသည် အပြစ်ရှိသောသူတို့ကို ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် အရာ၌ခန့်ထား၏။ ပညတ်တရား နောက်၌ ကျိန်ဆိုတော်မူသော ဗျာဒိတ်တော်မူကား၊ အစဉ်အမြဲစုံလင်ခြင်းသို့ရောက်သော သားတော်ကို ခန့်ထားသတည်း။
