¹And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

¹တဖန် ထာဝရဘုရားက၊ မိဒျန်အမျိုးသားတို့ သည် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ကို ပြစ်မှားသောအပြစ် အလျောက် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားဘက်၌ နေ၍ တရားစီရင်လော့။ သို့ပြီးမှ သင်သည် မိမိလူမျိုးစည်း ဝေးရာသို့ သွားရမည်ဟု မောရှေအား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.

³မောရှေသည်လည်း လူများတို့ကိုခေါ်၍၊ အချို့တို့သည် လက်နက်ကို ကိုင်လျက်၊ မိဒျန်အမျိုးသား တို့သို့ စစ်ချီ၍ ထာဝရဘုရားဘက်၌ တရားစီရင်စေ။

³And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.

⁴ဣသရေလအမျိုးအနွယ်တို့တွင် တမျိုးတမျိုး ထဲက၊ လူတထောင်စီရွေး၍ စစ်ချီစေဟု စီရင်သည် အတိုင်း၊

⁴Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.

⁵ဣသရေလအမျိုးသား အထောင်အသောင်းတို့ တွင် တမျိုးတမျိုးထဲက၊ စစ်တိုက်လက်နက်ပါသောသူ တထောင်စီ၊ လူပေါင်း တသောင်းနှစ်ထောင်ကို အပ်၍၊

⁵So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.

⁶မောရှေသည် ထိုသူတို့ကို၎င်း၊ သန့်ရှင်းသော လက်နက်နှင့်တကွ၊ မှုတ်ရာတံပိုးတို့ကို ကိုင်သော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဧလာဇာသား ဖိနဟတ်ကို၎င်း စစ်ချီ စေ၏။

⁶And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.

⁷မောရှေအား ထာဝရဘုရား မှာထားတော်မူ သည်အတိုင်း၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် မိဒျန်အမျိုးသားတို့ကို တိုက်၍ လူယောက်ျားအပေါင်းတို့ကို သတ်ကြ၏။

⁷And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.

⁸အသေသတ်ခြင်းကို ခံရသောသူတို့တွင် ဧဝိ၊ ရေကင်၊ ဇုရ၊ ဟုရ၊ ရေဘတည်းဟူသော မိဒျန်မင်းကြီး ငါးပါးပါကြ၏။ ဗောရသား ဗာလမ်ကိုလည်း ထားနှင့် သတ်ကြ၏။

⁸And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

⁹ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည်၊ မိဒျန်မိန်းမများ၊ သူငယ်များတို့ကို လက်ရသိမ်းယူ၍၊ သိုး၊ ဆိတ်၊ နွား အစရှိသော ဥစ္စာအလုံးစုံတို့ကို လုယူကြ၏။

⁹And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.

¹⁰မိဒျန်အမျိုးသားတို့ နေသောမြို့ရွာရှိသမျှတို့ကို မီးရှို့ကြ၏။

¹⁰And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.

¹¹ဘမ်းရသောလူ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်နှင့်တကွ၊ လက်ရဥစ္စာ အလုံးစုံတို့ကို သိမ်းသွား၍၊

¹¹And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.

¹²မောဘလွင်ပြင် ယော်ဒန်မြစ်နား၊ ယေရိခေါမြို့ တဘက်၌ တပ်ချလျက်နေသော မောရှေ၊ ယဇ်ပုရော ဟိတ် ဧလာဇာ၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသား ပရိသတ်တို့ထံသို့ ဆောင်ခဲ့ကြ၏။

¹²And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.

¹³မောရှေနှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်ဧလာဇာမှစ၍ ပရိသတ်တို့၌ မင်းအပေါင်းတို့သည် ကြိုဆိုခြင်းငှာ တပ်ပြင်သို့ ထွက်သွားကြ၏။

¹³And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.

¹⁴မောရှေသည် စစ်တိုက်ရာမှ ပြန်လာသော တပ်မှူးများ၊ ဗိုလ်မင်းများတို့ကို အမျက်ထွက်၍၊

¹⁴And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.

¹⁵သင်တို့သည် မိန်းမအပေါင်းတို့ကို အဘယ် ကြောင့် အသက်ရှင်စေကြသနည်း။

¹⁵And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

¹⁶ဣသရေလအမျိုးသား တို့သည်၊ ပေဂုရဘုရားအမှု၌ ထာဝရဘုရားကို ပြစ်မှားစေခြင်းငှာ၊ ဤမိန်းမတို့သည် ဗာလမ်းပေးသောအကြံကို လိုက်၍ ပြုကြသောကြောင့်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ပရိသတ်၌ ဘေးရောက်လေသည် တကား။

¹⁶Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

¹⁷ထိုကြောင့်၊ သူငယ်ယောက်ျားအပေါင်းကို၎င်း၊ ယောက်ျားနှင့် ဆက်ဆံဘူးသော မိန်းမအပေါင်း ကို၎င်း၊ သတ်ကြလော့။

¹⁷Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

¹⁸ယောက်ျားနှင့် မဆက်ဆံဘူးသော မိန်းမငယ် အပေါင်းတို့ကို၊ မိမိတို့အဘို့ အသက်ချမ်းသာပေးကြလော့။

¹⁸But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

¹⁹သင်တို့သည် ခုနစ်ရက်ပတ်လုံး တပ်ပြင်မှာ နေရကြမည်။ လူကို သတ်သောသူ၊ အသေကောင်ကို ထိသောသူ အပေါင်းတို့ ကိုယ်ကို၎င်း၊ သိမ်းယူသော သူတို့ကို၎င်း၊ တတိယနေ့၊ သတ္တမနေ့၌ စင်ကြယ်စေ ကြလော့။

¹⁹And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.

²⁰သင်တို့အဝတ်နှင့် သားရေတန်ဆာရှိသမျှ၊ ဆိတ်မွေးဖြင့် ရက်သောအရာ၊ သစ်သားဖြင့် လုပ်သော အရာရှိသမျှတို့ကို စင်ကြယ်စေကြလော့ဟု မှာထား လေ၏။

²⁰And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.

²¹ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဧလာဇာသည်လည်း၊ စစ်တိုက် သွားသော စစ်သူရဲတို့ကိုခေါ်၍၊ မောရှေ၌ ထာဝရဘုရား ထားတော်မူသော ပညတ်တရားဟူမူကား၊

²¹And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;

²²ရွှေ၊ ငွေ၊ ကြေးဝါ၊ သံ၊ ကြေးဖြူ၊ ခဲ အစရှိသော၊

²²Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,

²³မီးကိုခံနိုင်သောအရာရှိသမျှတို့ကို မီးအလယ် ၌ သွားစေ သဖြင့် စင်ကြယ်စေရမည်။ သို့ရာတွင် စင်ကြယ်စေသောရေ ဖြင့်လည်း စင်ကြယ်စေရမည်။ မီးမခံနိုင်သောအရာ ရှိသမျှတို့ကို ရေအလယ်၌ သွားစေရမည်။

²³Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.

²⁴သတ္တမနေ့၌ မိမိအဝတ်ကို လျှော်ပြီးမှ၊ စင်ကြယ် ခြင်းရှိ၍၊ တပ်ထဲသို့ဝင်ရကြမည်ဟု မှာထားလေ၏။

²⁴And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.

²⁵ထာဝရဘုရားကလည်း၊ သင်နှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဧလာဇာ၊

²⁵And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

²⁶ပရိသတ်အဆွေအမျိုး သူကြီးတို့သည်၊ ယခု လက်ရသိမ်းယူခဲ့သော ဥစ္စာ၊ လူ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်အပေါင်းတို့ကို ယူ၍၊

²⁶Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:

²⁷ထက်ဝက်ခွဲပြီးလျှင် တဝက်ကို စစ်မှုထမ်း၍ အတိုက်သွားသော သူတို့အား၎င်း၊ တဝက်ကို ပရိသတ် အပေါင်းတို့အား၎င်း ပေးဝေလော့။

²⁷And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:

²⁸စစ်တိုက်သွားသော စစ်သူရဲတို့သည်၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရားအား ပေးရသောအခွန်ကို ခွဲ၍ လူ၊ နွား၊ မြည်း၊ သိုးအကောင်းငါးရာတွင် တကောင်ကို ကောက်ယူပြီးလျှင်၊

²⁸And levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:

²⁹သူတို့ခံရသော ထက်ဝက်အဘို့ထဲကနှုတ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရားရှေ့တော်၌ ချီမြှောက်ရာ ပူဇော်သက္ကာပြု ဘို့ရာ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဧလာဇာအား ပေးရမည်။

²⁹Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.

³⁰ဣသရေလအမျိုးသား ခံရသော ထက်ဝက် အဘို့ထဲကလည်း လူ၊ နွား၊ မြည်း၊ သိုးအစရှိသော တိရစ္ဆာန်မျိုး အကောင်ငါးဆယ်တို့တွင် တကောင်ကို ကောက်ယူ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ တဲတော်ကို စောင့်သော လေပိသားတို့အား ပေးရမည်ဟု၊

³⁰And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

³¹မောရှေအား ထာဝရဘုရားမှာထားတော်မူ သည်အတိုင်း မောရှေနှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဧလာဇာတို့ သည် ပြလေ၏။

³¹And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

³²စစ်သူရဲတို့သည် လက်ရသိမ်းယူခဲ့၍ ကျန်ကြွင်း သော ဥစ္စာပေါင်းကား သိုးခြောက်သိန်း ခုနစ်သောင်း ငါးထောင်၊

³²And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,

³³နွားခုနစ်သောင်းနှစ်ထောင်၊

³³And threescore and twelve thousand beeves,

³⁴မြည်းခြောက်သောင်းတထောင်

³⁴And threescore and one thousand asses,

³⁵ယောက်ျားနှင့် မဆက်ဆံဘူးသောမိန်းမ သုံးသောင်းခုနစ်ထောင် ရှိသတည်း။

³⁵And thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.

³⁶စစ်တိုက်သွားသော သူတို့ခံရသော ထက်ဝက် အဘို့ကား၊ သိုး သုံးသောင်းခုနစ်ထောင်ငါးရာ ရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍၊

³⁶And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:

³⁷ထာဝရဘုရားခံရသောအခွန်ကား၊ သိုးခြောက် ရာခုနစ်ဆယ်ငါးကောင်တည်း။

³⁷And the LORD's tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.

³⁸နွားသုံးသောင်းခြောက်ထောင်ရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရားခံရသော အခွန်ကား၊ နွားခုနစ်ဆယ် ခုနစ်ကောင်တည်း။

³⁸And the beeves were thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and twelve.

³⁹မြည်းသုံးသောင်းငါးရာရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍ ထာဝရ ဘုရားခံရသော အခွန်ကား၊ မြည်းခြောက်ဆယ်တကောင် တည်း။

³⁹And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and one.

⁴⁰လူတသောင်းခြောက်ထောင် ရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍ ထာဝရဘုရားခံရသော အခွန်ကား၊ လူသုံးဆယ် နှစ်ယောက်တည်း။

⁴⁰And the persons were sixteen thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was thirty and two persons.

⁴¹ထာဝရဘုရားမှာထားတော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊ မောရှေသည် ရှေ့တော်၌ ချီးမြှောက်ရာ ပူဇော်သက္ကာပြု ဘို့ရာ အခွန်ကို ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဧလာဇာအား အပ်ပေး လေ၏။

⁴¹And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD's heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁴²တဖန် စစ်တိုက်သောသူတို့လက်မှ မောရှေယူ၍၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသား၊

⁴²And of the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided from the men that warred,

⁴³ပရိသတ်တို့ခံရသော ထက်ဝက်အဘို့ကား၊ သိုးသုံးသိန်းသုံးသောင်း ခုနစ်ထောင်ငါးရာ၊

⁴³(Now the half that pertained unto the congregation was three hundred thousand and thirty thousand and seven thousand and five hundred sheep,

⁴⁴နွားသုံးသောင်းခြောက်ထောင်၊

⁴⁴And thirty and six thousand beeves,

⁴⁵မြည်းသုံးသောင်းငါးရာ၊

⁴⁵And thirty thousand asses and five hundred,

⁴⁶လူတသောင်းခြောက်ထောင်ရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍

⁴⁶And sixteen thousand persons;)

⁴⁷ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားခံရသော ထက်ဝက်အဘို့ လူ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန် အကောင်ငါးဆယ်တို့တွင် တကောင်ကို မောရှေကောက်ယူ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ တဲတော်ကို စောင့်သော လေဝိသားတို့အား ပေး၏။ ထိုသို့ ထာဝရ ဘုရားမှာထားတော်မူ၏။

⁴⁷Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁴⁸လူတရာ၊ တထောင်ကိုအုပ်သော တပ်မှူးများ၊ ဗိုလ်များတို့သည်လည်း၊ မောရှေထံသို့ ချဉ်းကပ်၍၊

⁴⁸And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:

⁴⁹ကိုယ်တော် ကျွန်တို့သည် အုပ်သောစစ်သူရဲတို့ ကို စာရင်းယူပြန်၍၊ လူတယောက်မျှ မလျော့ပါ။

⁴⁹And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.

⁵⁰ထိုကြောင့် ထာဝရဘုရားရှေ့တော်၌ အသက် အဘိုးကို ဖြေဘို့ ရာ လူအသီးအသီးရသော ရွှေတန်ဆာ၊ လည်ဆွဲ၊ လက်ကောက်၊ လက်စွပ်၊ နားတောင်း၊ နှာခေါင်း ဆွဲဘူးတို့ကို ထာဝရဘုရားအား ပူဇော်လျက် ဆောင်ခဲ့ ပါပြီဟု လျှောက်ဆိုလျှင်၊

⁵⁰We have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.

⁵¹မောရှေနှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဧလာဇာတို့သည်၊ ထိုရွှေတည်းဟူသော လုပ်ပြီးသောတန်ဆာ ရှိသမျှတို့ကို ခံယူကြ၏။

⁵¹And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels.

⁵²ထိုသို့ စစ်သူရဲအသီးအသီးတို့သည် မိမိတို့အဘို့ သိမ်းယူ၍၊

⁵²And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.

⁵³တပ်မှူးများ၊ ဗိုလ်များတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား အား ပူဇော်သော ရွှေချိန်ပေါင်းကား၊ တရာခြောက်ဆယ် ခုနှစ်ပိဿာနှင့် အကျပ်ငါးဆယ် ရှိသတည်း။

⁵³(For the men of war had taken spoil, every man for himself.)

⁵⁴တပ်မှူးများ၊ ဗိုလ်များ ပူဇော်သောရွှေကို မောရှေနှင့် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် ဧလာဇာတို့သည်ယူ၍၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ကို ထာဝရဘုရား အောက်မေ့ တော်မူဘို့ရာ ပရိသတ်စည်းဝေးရာတဲတော်၌ သွင်းထား ကြ၏။

⁵⁴And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.
