1 Corinthians

12

1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
1Huan, unaute aw, khalam thilpiak thute jaw na theih louh uh ka ut kei hi.
2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
2Jentelte na hih lai un bangchidan peuha honpi lai un leng, huai milim pautheiloute lamah pi mangin na om uh chih na thei uhi.
3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
3Huaijiakin, kuamahin, Pathian Khaa thugenin, Jesu jaw hamsiatin om hen, a chi ngei kei uh; huan, kuamahin, Kha Siangthou kia loungalin, Jesu jaw Toupa ahi, a chi ngei kei uh chih kon theisak ahi.
4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
4Huan, thilpiak tuamtuam a oma, Kha bel kikhat ahi.
5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
5Nasepna tuamtuam leng a om, himahleh Toupa bel khat ahi.
6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
6Nasepsakna tuamtuam leng a om, ahihhangin Pathian bel khat ahi – mi tengtenga bangkim sempa tuh.
7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
7Himahleh phattuam chiatna dingin Kha theihsakna michih kianga piak chiat ahi.
8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
8Mi khat kiangah, khain pilna thu a pia hi; midang kiangah, huai kha mahin theihna thu a pia hi;
9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
9Huan, midang kianga, huai kha mah-in, ginna a pia hi; midang kiangah hihdam theihna a pia hi;
10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
10Midang kiangah thillamdang hihtheihna, midang kiangah tugen theihna, midang kiangah khate theihkak theihna, midang kiangah pau chi tuamtuamte, midang kiangah paute hilhchetna.
11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
11Himahleh, hiaite tengteng Kha khat leh akikhat mahin, mi chih kiangah a deih bang jela hawm chiatin a sem jel hi.
12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
12Pumpi i chih khat ahia, hiang a neia, pumpi hiangte tengteng, tam mahle uh, pumpi khat ahi ngala; Kris tuh huchibangmah ahi hi.
13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
13I vek un pumpi khata om dingin Kha khata baptisin i omta ua – Judate hiam, Griskte hiam, sikhate hiam sikhalou hiam- huan i vek un Kha khat akipan dawnsakin i omta ngal ua.
14For the body is not one member, but many.
14Pumpi i chih hiang khat kia ahi ngal keia, hiang tampi ahi jaw.
15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
15Khepekin, khut ka hih louh jiakin pumpia pang ka hi kei, chileh, huai thu jiakin pumpia panglou ahi tuan kei.
16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16Huan, bilin, mit ka hih louh jiakin pumpia pang ka hi kei, chileh, huai thu jiakin pumpia panglou ahi tuan kei.
17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
17Pumpi tengteng mit hi vek leh, ging jakna pen koiah a om dia? A vekin ging jakna hileh, gim jakna pen koiah a om dia?
18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
18Himahleh Pathianin hiang khempeuh pumpi ah a utna peuh ah a omsak chiatta hi.
19And if they were all one member, where were the body?
19Huchiin, huai tengteng hiang khat kia hileh, pumpi pen koi ah a om dia?
20But now are they many members, yet but one body.
20Ahihhangin hiang tampi ahi jaw uh, himahleh, pumpi khat kia ahi ngal ua.
21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
21Huan, mitin, khut kiangah, Bangmahin kon deih kei, a chi theikei; luin leng khepekte kiangah, Bangmahin kon deih kei, a chi thei sam kei hi.
22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
22Ahi, huchih naksangin, pumpi hiang hat dia kilawm loupente a kiphamoh zo mahmah uhi;
23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
23Huchiin, pumpi hiang pahtawi tham louh jawa i sehte, huaite ngei tuh i pahtawi jaw uhi; huan, i hiang kilawm louten kilawmna thupijaw a mu jel uhi;
24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.
24I hiang kilawm ten bel huchibang a hih a kiphamoh kei uhi. Pathianin, kilawmna neilou hiang tuh pahtawi zopenin, pumpi tuh a lemkhawm zo ngala,
25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
25Huchia pumpia kikhenna himhim omloua, ahiangten kibang taka a kibuaipih tuah theih jawkna ding un.
26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
26Huchiin, hiang khatin a thuak leh, hiang tengtengin a thuak pih jela, hiang khat pahtawia a om leh, hiang tengtengin a kipahpih jel hi.
27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
27Huchiin noute Kris pumpi pen na hi ua, ahiangte na hi chiat lai uhi.
28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
28Huan, Pathianin khenkhat saptuam lakah a honkoiha – a khatna ah sawltakte, a nihna ah thugenmite, a thumna ah heutute a koiha; huai nungin thillamdang hihte a oma; huai nungin hihdam theihna thilpiakte, panpih theihna thilpiakte, vaihawm siamna thilpiakte, pautheihlouh chi tuamtuama thugen theihna thilpiakte a om nawn hi.
29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
29A vek un sawltak ahi vek uhia? A vek un thugenmi ahi vek uhia? A vek un heutu ahi vek uhia?
30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
Huan, lampi hoih sem ka honensak ding hi.
31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
31A vek un thuhilhchianmi ahi vek u hia? Thilpiak thupipen te lunggulh mahmah jaw un. Huan, lampi hoih sem ka honensak ding hi.
