1Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
1Huan, milimte laka kithoihna tungtang jaw: I vekin theihna i nei chiat uh chih i kithei hi. Theihnain mi a kisathei saka itna inbel mi a bawlhoih nak hi.
2And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
2Kuapeuhin thil bang ahi hiam theia a kigintak leh, a theih ding thei nailou hi.
3But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
3Ahihhangin, kuapeuhin Pathian a it leh, huai mi mah amah theih ahi
4As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
4Huchiin, milimte laka kithoihna thil nek thu jaw, khovel ah milim himhim bangmah ahih louhdan uleh, khat kia loungal Pathian dang himhim a om louhdan i thei hi.
5For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
5Van ah hiam, lei ah hiam, Pathian min pute om mahle uh, -huchi bang Pathian tampi leh toupa tampi a om ngal ua-
6But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
6Eite adingin bel Pathian khat kia, Pa, a oma, amah kiang akipanin bangkim a pawta, eite leng amah adia om i hi; Toupa khat kia, Jesu Kris, a om hi, amah jiakin bangkim a om hi, eite leng amah jiak maha om i hi uhi.
7Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
7Ahihhangin, huai theihna mi tengteng ah a om kei hi; huchiin khenkhatin, tutanin milim be sasa a hihjiak un, milim laka kithoihna thil bang taka theiin a ne nak uhi; huchiin, a sia leh pha theihna uh a hat louh jiak a thanghuai nak uhi.
8But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
8Himahleh, nek dingin Pathian mit hontung sak tuan kei ding ne kei mahlehang i se tuan keia. Ne mah lehang leng i hoih tuan sam kei hi.
9But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
9Himahleh, pilvang un, huchilou injaw na noplenna uh bang chichi hiamin mi hatloute adin pukna a hong hi kha ding.
10For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
10Nang, theihna nei mi, kuapeuhin milimbiakna inn a ankuang uma a honmuh ngal un, amau mi hatlou na hita le uh, milim laka kithoihna thil ne dingin a sia leh pha theihna hong maingal lou ding hia?
11And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
11Huchiin na theihna jiakin mi hatlou, unau a sih sika Kris in a sih sakpa, a mangthang ding ahi.
12But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.
13Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.
13Huaijiak takin nekdingin ka unau a hihpuk leh, ka unau ka hihpuk louhna dingin kumtawnin sa himhim ka neta kei ding.
