Isaiah

1

1The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
1Amoz tapa Isaiin Judate kumpipa Uzzia te, Jothamte, Ahaz te, Hezekia te lal laia, Judate leh Jerusalem tugtang thu-a kilakna a muh thu.
2Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
2Vante aw, ngaikhia unla, lei aw, bil doh in, TOUPAN thu a gen hi: Tapate ka khoia ka khanglian saka, ka tungah lah a hel ngal ua.
3The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
3Bawngtalin a neitu a theia, sabengtungin leng a pu anpiakna a thei: Israelten bel a theikei uh, ka miten a ngaihtuah kei uh, chiin.
4Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
4Ah! nam gilou thulimlouhna gikpi pua mite, chi thil hoihlou hihte, ta hoihlou pi-a gamta sekte ahi ua: TOUPA a paisan ua, Israelte Mi Siangthou a musit ua, kihihtuamin a nungtolhta uh.
5Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
5Bang achia hel sansana, vuaka om lailai na hi ua oi? Lutang a pumin a chi a naa, lungtang leng a pumin a gimta.
6From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
6Khepek nuaia kipana lutang phain damlai himhim a om kei; chikeh, vuak sidup ek, meima nai la ngen ahi: huaite lah a mek bing kei ua, tuam leng a tuam sam kei ua, sathau leng a nuh kei uh.
7Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
7Na gam uh loihin a omkhita; na khuate uh meiin a kangkhinta: na gam uh gam dang miten na mitmuh un a neikhin ua, gam dang mite hihsiat bangin a sekhinta.
8And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
8Zion tanu tuh grep huana vennabuk bang leh, tangmai huana buk bang leh, khopi um suak banga nutsiatin a omta.
9Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
9Sepaihte TOUPAN hihmanthat bang tawmchik honna sit sakta lou hileh Sodom bangin i omkhin thamta ding ua, Gamorra bangin i omkhinta ding uhi.
10Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
10Sodom vaihawmte aw, TOUPA thu ja un; Gomorra mite aw, i Pathian dan thu-ah bil doh un.
11To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
11TOUPAN, Huzahzaha na kithoihna uh kei dinga bang ahia a thamatna om? Belamtal haltuma latte leh gan vakthaute thauin a honnimta; bawngpate leh belam noute leh kelpate sisan ah leng ka kipak kei, a chi.
12When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
12Ka maa kilan dinga na hongpai un, ka biakin huangsuang intual sik kuan a honphuta?
13Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
13Thilpiak bangmahloute hontawi nawn kei un; banghiam gimlim kei adingin thil kihhuaipi ahi; kha thakte, khawlnite, khawmpite na kichial khawmte mawkmawk uh ka iplah mahmah; thulimlouhna ahi, kikhopna thupitak leng.
14Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
14Na kha thakte uleh hunbi neia na ankuangluinate uh ka lungsimin a hua hi: kei adin tunggikna ahi; ka thuak chimta hi.
15And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
15Huchiin na khut uh na jak chiang un leng ka mit kon humsan dia: ahi, tamveipi na thum chiang un leng ka ngaikhe kei ding: na khutte ulah sisanin a dim ngal a.
16Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
16Kisil unla, kihihsiang un; ka mitmuh phaklouh din na thilhihte uh a gitouhna koih mang un; gilou hih tawpta uh:
17Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
17Thil hoih hih kisinta unla; vaihawmna diktat zong un, nuaisiahna thuakte panpih unla, pa neiloute vaihawm sak unla, meithai thu gensak un, a chi hi.
18Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
18TOUPAN, Hongpai un, ngaihtuah khawm dih ve ni! Na khelhnate uh san au bangin aom mahleh, vuk bangin a ngou ding; san dup bangin san khin mahleh belam mul bangin a om ding.
19If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
19Gennoptak leh thumanga na om uleh, na gam thil hoihte uh na ne ding uh:
20But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
20Ahihhangin na ut kei ua na hel uleh, namsau nekkhitin na om ding uh: TOUPA kamin huai thu a genta hi, a chi a.
21How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
21Bangchidan ahia khopi muanhuaitak kijuak a hongsuah maimah, vaihawm diktatnaa dimnu hi sek hi a! amahah diktatna a om seka, tun lah tualthatmite!
22Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
22Na dangka eksia a honghita, na uain lah tui toh hel a hita.
23Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
23Na mi liante mihel hat, guta te pawmte ahi uh; mi chihin golhna a deih ua, thilpiak a delh nak uhi: pa neiloute a hawmsak sek kei ua, meithaite makhua khualna leng a kiang uh a tung ngei sam kei hi.
24Therefore saith the LORD, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
24Huaijiakin, TOUPA, Sepaihte TOUPA, Israelte Mi Hatin hichiin a chi! A! hondoute tungah ka hehna ka tangtungsak dia, ka melmate tungah phu ka la ding:
25And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
25Huan, na tungah ka khut ka kha dinga, na eksia siang sipsipin ka hihmang ding, na sikgawm tengteng ka la mang vek ding:
26And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
26Huan, na sung vaihawmtute a tunga a om bang un ka omsak nawn dinga, na sunga lemtheimite a masapena a om bang un ka omsak lai ding hi: Huai khitchiangin, Diktatna khopi, khopi muanhuai, a honchi ding uhi.
27Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
27Zion tun vaihawmna diktata hotkhiak a hita dinga, a sunga mi piangthak nawnte leng diktatnaa hotkhiak ahi ding uhi.
28And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
28Ahihhangin mihelte leh mikhialte hihsiatna a kituakin a om dinga, TOUPA paisanmite leng hihanin a om ding uh.
29For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
29Na tosaw deihmahmahte uh a zumpihta ding ua, na huan telte ujiakin zakta takin na om sin uhi.
30For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
30Tosaw a nah kaite leh huan tui mu lou bang phet lah na hi sin ngal ua, Huan, mi hat tak zija jial bang a hita dinga, a nasep meiek bang ahi ding; huchiin a kang tuaktuak ding ua, kuamahin a phelh kei ding uh, chiin.Huan, mi hat tak zija jial bang a hita dinga, a nasep meiek bang ahi ding; huchiin a kang tuaktuak ding ua; kuamahin a phelh kei ding uh, chiin.
31And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.
31Huan, mi hat tak zija jial bang a hita dinga, a nasep meiek bang ahi ding; huchiin a kang tuaktuak ding ua; kuamahin a phelh kei ding uh, chiin.
