5

1Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
1Mihaute aw, ngai un! na tung ua gimthuak na hongtung ding ziakin, kap unla, mau tuaituai un.
2Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
2Na goute uh seta hi, na puante uh leikha in nekhinta hi.
3Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
3Na dangkaeng uleh na dangkate uh tuiek khinta hi; a tuiek tuh na mawhdan uh theihna ding ahi ding a, nasa uh tuh meikat bang in a nezou ding hi.
4Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
4Ngaiun, na lou ua buh at-a kilawhte lawh, amau khema na piaklouh uh a kikou ua, a-atte amangbang kikou aw leng Mipite Toupa bil ah alutta hi.
5Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
5Khawvel ah nuamsatakin na awm ua, na kizangbei mawkmawk ua, na thahni un na lungtang uh na taisak uhi.
6Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.
6Midiktat siamlouh na tangsak ua, na thatta ua; aman zaw nou a hon doukei hi.
7Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
7Huchiin, unaute aw, Toupa hongpaima teng kuhkaltakin awm un. Ngai un, lou nei miin vuahtui ke masaleh nanung a muh mateng lei gah hoihtak tuh angak zel hi.
8Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
8Nou leng kuhkaltakin awm un; na lungtang uh hihkip un; Toupa hongpaina lah anaita ngala.
9Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
9Unaute aw, siamlouh tang a na awmlouhna ding un, ki phunkhum kei un; ngai un, vaihawmpa tuh kongkhak bulah a ding hi.
10Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
10Unaute aw, Toupa min a thugen mi jawlneite tuh thuakdan leh kuhkal dan lam ah zuih ding in zang un.
11Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
11Ngaiiun, a thuak mite tuh nuamsa ichi ua; Job kuhkal dan bang naza ua, Toupan a tawp a ahihdan leng na mu lai ua, Toupa tuh hehpihna a adimdan leh zah a ngaih theih dan leng.
12But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
12Himahleh, ka unaute aw, bangteng bangteng hih mah le uchin, kichiam kei un; vanlou in hiam, lei lou in hiam, thil dang himhima lou in hiam kichiam kei un. Hi, nachih uh, Hi, hihenla; Hilou na chih uh hilou hihen; huchilou inzaw siamlouh tang in na awm ding uhi.
13Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
13Nalak uah thil hoihlou thuak aom uhia? Thum uhen. Kipak a om uhia? Phatna lasa uhen.
14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
14Nalak uah china a om uhia? Saptuam upa samsak uhenla, aman Toupa min a sathau nilh in atung ah thum hen;
15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
15Huan, ginna a thumna in china tuh a hondam ding a, Toupan amah a kaithou ding; huan, thil ana hihkhelh takleh ngaihdam sak ahi ding hi.
16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
16Huchiin, hihdama na om theihna ding un, na khelhnate uh thupha kitawituah unla, ki thumsak tuah zel un.
17Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
17Midiktat thumna in thil thupitak ahih zel hi. Elija leng eimah piandan bang pu mihing mah ahia, amah tuh vuah zuk louhna ding in phatuam ngai takin a thum a, huan, kum thum leh khaguk sungteng leitung ah vuah a zu takei hi.
18And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
18Huan, athum nawn a, van in vuah a zusak a lei in a gahte ahon suaksak ta hi.
19Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
19Ka unaute aw, nalak ua mikuapeuh thutak a kipan in namang taleh huan, kuahiam in pikiknawn leh, mikhial a lamhaihna a kipan a kiheisak pan sihna akipan akha ahondam ding a, khelhna tampi a khuhsak lai ding chih kithei heh.
20Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
20mikhial a lamhaihna a kipan a kiheisak pan sihna akipan akha ahondam ding a, khelhna tampi a khuhsak lai ding chih kithei heh.
