¹Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;

²And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee,

²Harsith kongpi lutna china Benhinem guam ah hoh inla, huaiah na kianga thu ka honhilh ding na phuang ding.

³And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

³Hichiin na chi ding hi: Juda kumpipate leh Jerusalema tengte aw, TOUPA thu ja un. Israel Pathian, sepaihte TOUPAN hichiin a chi: Ngaidih ua, hiai munah a ja pehmah bilam khop hiala thil hoihlou ka hontun sin hi.

⁴Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;

⁴Miten a honpai san ua, hiai mun a hihnin un, amau leh a pate uh leh Juda kumpipaten leng a theih ngei nai het louh uh, pathian dangte kiangah gimlim a hal jiak uleh hiai mun mi hoih sisana a dimsak jiak un leh Baal kianga halmang thillat dinga a tate uh a halna ding ua Baal mun sangte a lamkhiak jiak un;

⁵They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:

⁵Huai jaw ka thupiak ahi keia, gen leng ka gen sam keia, ka lungsim ah leng a om ngeikei hi.

⁶Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.

⁶Huaijiakin, ngaidih, nite a hongtung sin, TOUPA thu pawtin a chi: huai nite chiangin hiai mun Topheth chih ahita kei dinga, Benhinom guam chih ahi sam kei ding; kithahna guam chih ahi zota ding.

⁷And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

⁷Huan, hiai munah Juda leh Jerusalem thil tupte ka vuak suaksak dinga; huan, amau pen namsauin a melmate uh maah leh a hinna uh lak tummite khut ah ka puksak ding; a luangte uh tunga leng vasate leh leia gamsate an dingin ka pe ding.

⁸And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof.

⁸Huan, hiai khopi lamdang sak ding leh tek khum dingin ka bawl dinga, a vialpai peuhin siatna a tuahte jiakin lamdang a sa ding ua, a tek khum lai ding uhi.

⁹And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.

⁹A tanute uleh a tapate uh sa ka nesak dinga; huan a melmate u leh a hinna uh lak tummiten a um ua a mangbat sak hun chiang un kuapeuhin a invengte uh sa a ne ding uh.

¹⁰Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,

¹⁰Huan, na paipihte mitmuhin bel na hihtam dinga, a kiang uah hi-chiin na chi ding.

¹¹And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.

¹¹Sepaihte TOUPAN hichiin a chi: Hichimahbangin hiai mite leh hiai khua ka hihtam ding; belvelmi bel min a kitam saka, bawl hoih nawn vual ahi lou bangin; huan, Tophethah a vui ding ua, vuina ding mun dang a om louh jiakin.

¹²Thus will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city as Tophet:

¹²Huchi hialin hiai mun ka bawl ding, chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi; huan hichibang mahin hiai khua Topheth banga bawl hialin, a sunga tengte tungah leng ka hih ding:

¹³And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.

¹³Jerusalem inte leh Juda kumpipate inte-in chiteng mahmah a tunga van lam thilte kianga gimlim halkhitna tengteng leh pathian dangte kianga dawn ding thillat butkhiaksana tengtengte Topheth mun bang hiala hihnit ahi ding hi.

¹⁴Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD's house; and said to all the people,

¹⁴Huan, Jeremia bel, TOUPAN thu gen dinga a sawlna mun Topheth akipan in a hongpaia; huan, TOUPA in um sungah a dinga, mipi tengteng kiangah hichiin a chi hi:Israelte Pathian, sepaihte TOUPAN hichiin a chi: Ngaihdih ua, thilhoihlou ka gen tengteng hiai khopi leh a kho dang tengteng ah ka hontungsak sin hi: ka thu ngaikhe lou dinga a lungtang uh a khuahsak jiak un.

¹⁵Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
