¹So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

¹ سلیمان، پادشاه تمام اسرائیل بود

²And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

² و درباریان بلند پایهٔ او عبارت بودند از: رهبر کاهنان: عزریا پسر صادوق.

³Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.

³ منشی: الیحورف و اخیا، پسر شیشه. بایگان: یهوشافاط، پسر اخیلود.

⁴And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

⁴ فرماندهٔ ارتش: بنایاهو، پسر یهویاداع. کاهن: صادوق و ابیاتار.

⁵And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:

⁵ سرپرست فرمانداران: عزریا، پسر ناتان. مشاور پادشاه: کاهن زابود، پسر ناتان.

⁶And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

⁶ سرپرست خدمتکاران کاخ: اخیشار. سرپرست کارهای کارگران اجباری: ادونیرام، پسر عَبد.

⁷And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

⁷ سلیمان دوازده نفر استاندار برای تمام اسرائیل انتخاب کرد و آنها مسئول تهیّه غذای دربار بودند، هر کدام یک ماه در سال مسئول تدارکات دربار بودند.

⁸And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

⁸ این است نامهای دوازده استاندار و مناطقی که سرپرستی می‌کردند: بن‌هور، در کوهستان افرایم.

⁹The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan:

⁹ بندَقَر، در شهرهای ماقص، شبلعیم، بیت شمس و ایلون بیت حانان.

¹⁰The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:

¹⁰ بنحَسَد در اروبوت، سوکوه و تمام ناحیهٔ حافر،

¹¹The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

¹¹ بن‌ابیناداب که با تافت دختر سلیمان ازدواج کرده بود: در تمام منطقهٔ دُر.

¹²Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:

¹² بعنا، پسر اخیلود: در شهرهای تعنک، مجدو و تمام سرزمینهای نزدیک بیت شان، حوالی صرتان و جنوب شهر یزرعیل تا شهر آبل محوله و شهر یقمعام.

¹³The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brazen bars:

¹³ بن‌جابر، در شهر راموت واقع در جلعاد و روستاهایی که در جلعاد به خاندان یاعیر از فرزندان منسی بود و ناحیهٔ ارجوب در باشان، شصت شهر بزرگِ دیواردارِ دیگر که دروازه‌هایشان پشت‌بند برنزی داشت.

¹⁴Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:

¹⁴ اخیناداب پسر عدو، در محنایم.

¹⁵Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

¹⁵ اخیمعص، او با باسمت دختر سلیمان، ازدواج کرده بود، در سرزمین نفتالی

¹⁶Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:

¹⁶ بعنا پسر حوشای، در منطقهٔ اشیر و شهر بعلوت.

¹⁷Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

¹⁷ یهوشافاط، پسر فاروح، در یساکار.

¹⁸Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

¹⁸ شمعی، پسر ایلا، در بنیامین.

¹⁹Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

¹⁹ جابر، پسر اوری، در سرزمین جلعاد که شامل سرزمینهای سیحون، پادشاه اموریان و عوج، پادشاه باشان می‌شد. به جز این دوازده نفر، مقام دیگری بود که مسئول تمام سرزمین بود.

²⁰Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

²⁰ جمعیّت مردم اسرائیل و یهودا مانند ریگ دریا بی‌شمار بود؛ آنها می‌خوردند و می‌نوشیدند و شادمان بودند.

²¹And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

²¹ قلمرو پادشاهی سلیمان شامل تمام ملّتها از رود فرات و فلسطین تا مرز مصر می‌بود که در تمام طول عمر او مطیع بودند و به او مالیات می‌پرداختند.

²²And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

²² مصرف روزانهٔ دربار سلیمان عبارت بود از: معادل پنج تُن آرد و ده تُن بلغور،

²³Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

²³ ده گاو از طویله، بیست گاو از چراگاه، صد گوسفند و همچنین آهو، گوزن، غزال و مرغهای چاق.

²⁴For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

²⁴ قلمرو فرمانروایی او را تمام قسمت غربی رود فرات و از تِفسَح تا غزه و تمام سرزمینهای پادشاهان ماورالنهر تشکیل می‌دادند. و در سراسر سرزمینهای اطراف او صلح و آرامش حکمفرما بود.

²⁵And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

²⁵ در زمان حیات سلیمان، مردم اسرائیل و یهودا در امنیّت زندگی می‌کردند و هر خانواده تاکستان و باغ انجیر خود را داشت.

²⁶And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

²⁶ همچنین سلیمان چهل هزار آخور برای اسبهای ارّابه‌هایش و دوازده هزار سوارکار داشت.

²⁷And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

²⁷ دوازده فرماندار او، هریک مسئول تهیّه مواد غذایی سلیمان و درباریان برای مدّت یک ماه بود. ایشان همواره تمام نیازها را فراهم می‌آوردند.

²⁸Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

²⁸ هر فرماندار سهم جو و کاه خود را برای اسبان ارّابه‌ها و سایر اسبان در مکان مقرّر می‌آوردند.

²⁹And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

²⁹ خدا به سلیمان بینش و خردی شگفت‌انگیز و دانشی بی‌نهایت بخشید.

³⁰And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

³⁰ سلیمان از خردمندان شرق و مصر خردمندتر بود.

³¹For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

³¹ او خردمندترین مرد بود. او داناتر از ایتان ازراحی و پسران ماحول، یعنی حیمان، کلکول و دردع بود. شهرت او به همهٔ سرزمینهای همسایه رسید.

³²And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

³² همچنین او سه هزار مَثَل گفت و یک‌هزار و پنج سرود نوشت.

³³And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

³³ او دربارهٔ درختان و گیاهان از درخت سرو لبنان گرفته تا زوفا که در روی دیوار می‌رویند، سخن گفت. او همچنین دربارهٔ حیوانات، پرندگان، خزندگان و ماهیان سخن گفت. مردم از همه‌جا می‌آمدند تا حکمت سلیمان را بشنوند و نمایندگان پادشاهان روی زمین برای مشورت پیش او می‌آمدند.

³⁴And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

³⁴ مردم از همه‌جا می‌آمدند تا حکمت سلیمان را بشنوند و نمایندگان پادشاهان روی زمین برای مشورت پیش او می‌آمدند.
