¹And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,

¹ موسی از دشتهای موآب به قلّهٔ نَبو، در کوه فسجه در شرق اریحا بالا رفت و در آنجا خداوند تمام آن سرزمین را به او نشان داد. سرزمین جلعاد از شمال تا شهر دان،

²And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,

² تمام سرزمین نفتالی، سرزمین طایفه‌های افرایم، منسی، سرزمین طایفه یهودا، از جنوب تا دریای مدیترانه،

³And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.

³ قسمت جنوبی سرزمین یهودا و دشتی که از صوغر به اریحا، شهر درختانِ نخل می‌رسد.

⁴And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

⁴ آنگاه خداوند به موسی فرمود: «این سرزمینی است که من به ابراهیم، اسحاق و یعقوب وعده داده‌ام که به فرزندانشان بدهم. من آن را به تو نشان داده‌ام امّا به تو اجازه نمی‌دهم که به آنجا بروی.»

⁵So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.

⁵ پس موسی خدمتکار خداوند، در سرزمین موآب در گذشت، همان‌گونه که خداوند فرموده بود.

⁶And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.

⁶ خداوند او را در درّه‌ای، در سرزمین موآب آن سوی شهر بیت فغور، به خاک سپرد، امّا تا به امروز هیچ‌کسی از محل دقیق گور او آگاه نیست.

⁷And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.

⁷ موسی در سن صد و بیست سالگی درگذشت. با این وجود، همچنان نیرومند بود و چشمان او به خوبی می‌دید.

⁸And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

⁸ قوم اسرائیل برای او سی روز در دشتهای موآب سوگواری کردند.

⁹And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁹ یوشع پسر نون، پُر از حکمت بود، زیرا موسی او را به جانشینی خود برگزیده بود، مردم اسرائیل از یوشع پیروی کردند و فرامینی را که خداوند به موسی داده بود، بجا آوردند.

¹⁰And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,

¹⁰ هرگز نبی‌ای چون موسی در اسرائیل نبوده است، خداوند با او رو در رو صحبت می‌کرد.

¹¹In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,

¹¹ هیچ نبی‌ای نشانه‌ها و شگفتی‌هایی را که موسی، به دستور خداوند در برابر فرعون، درباریان و همهٔ سرزمین مصر ظاهر کرد، انجام نداده است. کارهای بزرگ و هیبت‌انگیزی را که موسی در برابر چشمان قوم اسرائیل نشان داد، هیچ نبی‌ای، توانایی انجام آن را نداشته است.

¹²And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses showed in the sight of all Israel.
