¹Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

¹ آنگاه نگریستم و بر فراز گنبدی که بالای سر فرشتگان نگهبان بود، چیزی شبیه تختی از یاقوت کبود پدیدار گشت.

²And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.

² خدا به مردی که لباس کتانی به تن داشت، فرمود: «در بین چرخها، در زیر موجودات بالدار برو، دستهایت را از زغالهای سوزان پُر کن، آنگاه زغالها را بر روی شهر پراکنده ساز.» من دیدم که او رفت.

³Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.

³ هنگامی‌که او رفت، موجودات بالدار در قسمت جنوب معبد بزرگ بودند و ابری حیاط داخلی را پر کرد.

⁴Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD's glory.

⁴ نور درخشندهٔ حضور خداوند از موجودات برخاست و بر در دروازهٔ معبد بزرگ قرار گرفت. آنگاه ابری معبد بزرگ را پر کرد و حیاط از نور جلال خداوند می‌درخشید.

⁵And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.

⁵ صدای بالهای موجودات بالدار که تا حیاط بیرونی شنیده می‌شد، شبیه صدای خداوند متعال بود.

⁶And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.

⁶ هنگامی‌که خداوند به مردی که جامهٔ کتانی پوشیده بود، امر کرد تا مقداری آتش از بین چرخهایی که در زیر موجودات بود، بردارد. آن مرد رفت و کنار یکی از چرخها ایستاد.

⁷And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.

⁷ آنگاه یکی از موجودات دست خود را به سوی آتشی که در میان ایشان بود دراز کرد و مقداری در دست مردی که جامهٔ کتانی پوشیده بود، گذاشت. آن مرد آتش را گرفت و بیرون رفت.

⁸And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings.

⁸ به نظر می‌رسید که آن موجودات در زیر بالهایشان دستی مانند دست انسان داشتند.

⁹And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.

⁹ نگاه کردم و چهار چرخِ هم‌شکل دیدم، هر چرخ در کنار یکی از موجودات بود. چرخها چون سنگهای گرانبها می‌درخشیدند و در درون هر چرخ، چرخ دیگری قرار داشت.

¹⁰And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.

¹⁰ این چرخها می‌توانستند به هر طرف حرکت کنند، بدون اینکه دور بزنند. به هر سمتی که چرخ جلویی حرکت می‌کرد، چرخهای دیگر به دنبالش می‌رفتند بدون اینکه دور بزنند.

¹¹When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.

¹¹ تمام بدنهای آنها، پشت‌ها، دستها، بالها و چرخها پُر از چشم بود.

¹²And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.

¹² ندایی شنیدم که می‌گفت: «چرخهای گردان.»

¹³As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel.

¹³ هر موجود چهار صورت داشت، صورت اول مانند گاو، صورت دوم ‌مانند انسان، سومین صورت چون شیر و چهارمین صورت مانند عقاب بود.

¹⁴And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

¹⁴ موجودات به هوا برخاستند. ایشان همان موجوداتی بودند که در کنار رود خابور دیده بودم.

¹⁵And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.

¹⁵ هنگامی‌که موجودات حرکت می‌کردند، چرخها نیز به حرکت می‌آمدند و هرگاه بالهای خود را می‌گشودند و پرواز می‌کردند، چرخها نیز با ایشان بودند.

¹⁶And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.

¹⁶ هنگامی‌که ایشان می‌ایستادند، چرخها نیز می‌ایستادند و چون برمی‌خاستند، چرخها نیز برمی‌خاستند؛ چون روح موجودات زنده در آنها بود.

¹⁷When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.

¹⁷ آنگاه نور درخشان خداوند از آستانهٔ معبد بزرگ بیرون رفت و بالای سر موجودات قرار گرفت.

¹⁸Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.

¹⁸ سپس بالهای خود را گشودند و همان‌طور که چرخها در کنارشان بودند، از زمین برخاستند و در دهانه دروازهٔ شرقی معبد بزرگ توقّف کردند و جلال خدای اسرائیل بر فراز ایشان بود.

¹⁹And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD's house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

¹⁹ من آن موجودات را شناختم. آنها همان موجوداتی بودند که در زیر تخت خدای اسرائیل، در کنار رود خابور دیده بودم.

²⁰This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.

²⁰ هر کدام چهار رو و چهار بال داشت و در زیر هریک از بالهایشان شبیه دست انسان بود. چهره‌های ایشان هم مانند چهره‌هایی بود که در کنار رود خابور دیده بودم. هر کدام از آنها مستقیماً حرکت می‌کرد.

²¹Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.

²¹ چهره‌های ایشان هم مانند چهره‌هایی بود که در کنار رود خابور دیده بودم. هر کدام از آنها مستقیماً حرکت می‌کرد.

²²And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.
